"I had one freaking goal this season. One," Drumm exclaims, citing his lack of shooting progress during practice the last few years (STILL 40/99). However, not all is lost, the blueliner prepares. "One of my biggest goals was to get a positive plus/minus rating in the regular season, and with a +8, I can confidently say that the team was better with me on the ice (chuckles). Depending on who you talk to, some analysts believe this is a worthless stat. Getting above that threshold in consecutive seasons though... gold." Other stats would imply Drumm had another solid showing in the second paring, keeping up his shots blocked, hits and reducing his penalty minutes (give similar ice time). All that is to say, despite losing a heartbeaker series to Seattle in seven games, Charles is excited to take a few weeks off of the ice.
