I'm on Ottawa but there isn't an Ottawa Press Conference so I'm doing this one.

3. I've done a lot better than I thought I would. I'm excited to see where I go in the draft.

4. I think that Goal Difference is the best indicator when the amount of points is close. HC, Prague, and Riga will straight up miss the playoffs and London will lose to Malmo in the preliminary round.

5. Goalie because it sounds like it would be fun.

6. Just spending time with the family. Can't go out because of Covid.

7. Regular Lays because nothing beats the original.

9. Be Invisible. I'd be able to sneak around and stealth take out people

It's Lamb + Mitchell and I would expect it to continue to be that way.

 

2. Who do you think has played the most impressively on the team recently?

I think Latrell Mitchell had a pretty nice last couple of games!

 

3. Now that the season is almost done, how would you rate your performance this year?

Probably 4/10. I haven't been nearly as productive as I would like, and I think I have a lot more to contribute. Hopefully that comes in the playoffs.

 

4. Who do you think ends up missing the playoffs from the EU?

Davos - they're the meme dream team and it's  almost fitting that they might miss the playoffs. They also haven't looked sharp recently, but that may be because of their schedule moreso than anything to do with the team.

 

5. If you could play any other position, which position would you play and why?

Quarterback in the American Football! It seems like a nice position to play, with many rules protecting you and a penchant for getting the puckball in the right place at the right time. It appeals to me.

 

6. Doing anything special for the holidays?

Sadly I am separated from my family in Denmark for COVID times, so I will spend it all with Venus instead!!

1. Our Goalie has been nothing short of incredible so far and it's been nuts to watch so far

2. Dakota Lamb has really stepped up his play recently and it's really helped in terms of team success

3. I'm pretty happy with the way the season's turned out and I hope I can improve upon this next season

5. I would probably play C or Defenseman just so I can still have a chance at playing with Aloe Dear, my best friend

1). I'm absolutely thrilled, Warsaw is going to do great things this year!

2). Pretty important, it really solidifies us as a contender.

3). Absolutely. We stood tall when it mattered and got the job done!

4). Again, although not as many points as last year, a great year that ended up contributing to a possible deep playoff run for the team.

6). The choice of deli meats is a little underwhelming. Granted I could contribute more, but I feel like there's a lot of chicken nuggets and not enough meat!

7). Whatever I'm wearing under my pads when we win stays on for every game.

Really excited from a player side and even more pumped from a GM side.

Incredibly important. STHS likes to do its STHS things in the playoffs so limiting how many games we play is key.

 

3. Are you happy with the team's performance this year?

 

I couldn't be happier with the work everybody put in this season to keep improving and allow us to build around a less conventional strategy.

4. Are you happy with your individual performance this year?

 

Muffbeav ended up having a solid performance this year, probably got a big boost from that killer second line of forwards in front of him.

5. What are you gonna do to pump up the locker room for playoff games?

 

We neeeeeeeed to get the deli meat flowing again.

 

6. If there's one thing you would change about the discord locker room, what would it be?

Pretty excited! But I think we have to get over the shininess of it and make sure we're focusing on what's important: getting those Ws in the playoffs!

Most playoff series are a coin flip, so it'll always be helpful. But I think we can make it deep regardless!

 

3. Are you happy with the team's performance this year?

To an extent. There's always room to improve, so I don't think we can get complacent quite yet - but I think we've performed above average.

4. Are you happy with your individual performance this year?

Ultimately, not really. I think I could have contributed a lot more in wins and converted some losses into wins, so there is still plenty of work to do.

5. What are you gonna do to pump up the locker room for playoff games?

Baked goods!! I'm bringing some kanelsnegle, butter cookies, and drømmekage for us to eat during film review sessions.

 

6. If there's one thing you would change about the discord locker room, what would it be?

Mandatory Muff himself saying "Muff loves you"! No more of this robot nonsense, it creeps me out.

1. I'm really excited to spend my breakout season on the team and be a core part of their first playoff experience. I know we aren't quite contenders on paper or whatever but I'm just happy to see the team do well

2. I think it was really important as it allowed us to rest up and spend more time focusing on our opponents

1. Being able to finally be a consistent point scorer in the playoffs as I had a very hit or miss regular season 

2. I don’t have any predictions just hope that everyone keeps getting better

3. Chicago is a great team who had a tough road to get where they are but no I’m not because anything can happen in the playoffs 

4. I’m going to say DC and Moscow as those two teams are just a slight bit better imo

5. Krishna next step for him is to be THE elite goalie of the league

Room temperature. Whether it's absolutely frigid or a roiling heat outside, room temp water is appropriate. Cold water is a mistake in freezing weather!

No idea. The whole "more teams" thing should have probably increased movement in the off-season but it doesn't seem as though that was necessarily the case.

 

3. Chicago is now the last team remaining in the playoffs from our expansion three seasons ago. Are you surprised to see it was the team that had to go up against the top team in the regular season that is the last still standing?

Not particularly. We can call series results "upsets," but at the end of the day STHS does whatever it wants.

I think Chicago continues on with the plot armor and Malmo vanquishes Moscow. Or wait, maybe that was wishful thinking...

 

5. Which player on the team do you think will improve the most going into next season?

Hard to say without knowing what next season looks like from a personnel standpoint. It won't be Krishna, though - I don't think there's much room for him to go up to!

 

6. What will you focus on the most to improve this offseason?

I'm going to hit the gym and become stronger! And I might improve my puck handling a little, I don't know.

I think Muffbeav will take the league by storm and then become the new Condor Adrienne.

I intend to focus on building a highly effective all-round defenseman, but am also considering a switch to forward. See my dilemma?

5. Are you excited for NHL to start back up? Yes I am! Don't watch religiously but always follow my team and try to catch some games.

6. Who do you cheer for in the NHL? Boston Bruins of course!

1. How are you coping thus far into the off-season, missing hockey already?

I'm occupying myself with the Pro-Am. There are certainly some promising young players! With the World Juniors coming up too, I think I've had more than enough to keep busy.

 

2. What kind of beverages you gonna enjoy the next few weeks?

I don't drink much alcohol (I think Venus drinks enough for the both of us sometimes! But she has excellent tolerance), but I do enjoy some fruit juice, tea, and rarely coffee.

 

3. How important is it that we lock up Lamb this off-season?

Very important! Lamb is critical to the future of this team and I would be very sad if we could not get him to return.

 

4. Who you cheering for in the cup finals?

I was cheering for the Malmo of course! They are our European brothers (plus it looks better that we lose to the champions, right?).

 

5. Are you excited for NHL to start back up?

I don't watch much of the NHL hockey, unfortunately. I try to focus as much as I can on this international league since there are so many teams and games.

 

8. It's a new year! Any resolutions for you?

I hope to bring us a cup, naturally! But I also resolve to spend more time with Venus @BladeMaiden; the VHL has left us little time to spend together! (in real life, I need to match to the residency of my dreams hopefully).

1). A little better but still stings. Had we won, the path to the championship could have been ours.

2). I do! It's a lot of fun to speculate who is going to take who and see who our team selects.

3). More firepower! Hopefully we can make an even bigger push into the playoffs in S76.

4). I like them, we should go far next season!

6). Yes but I have like a 35 handicap so it's a little rough lol but still a lot of fun to golf!

7). A lot more confident! Jacob Carson seems like a great addition to the team!
