Well it looks as though Markus King has asserted himself as the number one goalie in Brampton. It remains to be seen if Lousy S. Weather continues to plug King in the net for the remainder of the season. King has a very special mindset and one that he thinks will help him in his career. When King was acquired by the Brampton Blades via the VHLM Waiver Free Agency, he stated he wants the chance to compete. The Brampton management team asked King if he wanted to be traded elsewhere to get a chance at a cup. Markus refused and said "this team doesn't have a goaltender and I want to provide them with one regardless if we win games or not". It appears if the ship is going down, Markus will be going down with it. In 11 games that King has suited up for, he has posted a 1-9-1 record with a sub .900 save percentage and a GAA that is over the 4.5 mark. Not the best numbers but he understands this is the worst team in the VHLM and he will learn some valuable lessons. So far, you can't break this kids enthusiasm and it appears he simply wants a chance to compete, not always a win. *For King
