WARSAW, POLAND - After 4 games and a 3-1 series lead against the underdog Malmo Nighthawks, Warsaw Predators Centre and Captain Dakota Lamb has been firing on all cylinders this postseason. Through said 4 games,  Lamb has 5 goals and 6 assists for 11 points, along with a plus-four rating. He attributes a lot of this success to the chemistry between himself and star winger Uhtred @leafsman, who has matched Lamb's total of 11 points in 4 games (4+7=11). The pair has been together since Season 76, however Season 78 will be the last we see of the duo together as Uhtred has announced his intend to retire at season's end. Even if the pair can not keep up the playoff scoring like they have so far, the entire group has deadly threats all over the lineup, who can show up on any given night. This will be the final update as uhtred hit the 250 goal and 600 point milestone.  Uhtred has 28 goals and 48 assists on the season which puts him well over his career targets.  He now has 255 goals and 354 assists for a total of 609 points with 5 regular season games to go in his career.  Uhtred has also seen career highs in shots at 479, hits at 126 and power play goals at 10.  Uhtred is also one minor penalty away from tying his career high of 69 set a year ago.  Uhtred will likely surpass 3000 career shots as he's just 7 away.  He's also 8 penalty minutes away from hitting 250 which seemed like it was impossible earlier in his career. Uhtred had 2 season's of just 2 penalties minutes in back to back seasons and followed that up with a 7 penalty season.  The first fight in his career took place in his final season in Seattle and it was like a switch was flipped as he racked up the penalty minutes in Warsaw.  Now with some milestones achieved uhtred will look for the most important one, his elusive third continental cup.  The predators are strong favourite in the EU as they lead London by 13 points.  The predators sit third overall in the VHL and are in contention for a victory cup as they sit one point back. The victory cup would be uhtreds third.  

1. Today is the trade deadline and we completely revamped the defense. Do you think our newfound depth will be important moving forward?
I hope so as in part of that new defense and depth.   
 
 
2. About 17 people created players so far today. Your thoughts?
 
I am one of those players and I'm excited to start a new career here in Saskatoon.  Hopefully it will end in a cup like my previous player here.
 
 
 
3. Do any of you plan to spend time in the VHLE if given the opportunity?
 
Yes, my player is European and would love to play a season or so in Europe.
 
 
4. Who wins the series between the Canadiens and Golden Knights?
 
Vegas will win.  With a username like mine I will always go against the habs.
 
 
5. We need just 3 points to clinch a playoff spot. Do you think this roster has championship potential?
 
Yes i think so.  One of the reasons I signed here is there is a chance at a cup and icetime .
 
6. What did you do over the weekend?
 
Went to see a house on Friday that was terrible and then had to take my 6 month old son to walk in clinic Saturday but thankfully he was ok and then relaxed on Sunday.

Another week if games has gone by in the VHL which means it's time for an update on uhtreds progress to 250 goals and 600 points. In our last update uhtred was on pace to hit his goals target but fall just short of the 600 points. As of last week's updat, there was a majority of the season remaining and now this week we have just passed the Midway point of the season. This means that there are still a lot of games to be played so the projections can still change drastically. Now let's dive into the numbers. Uhtred has now played 38 games this season scoring 18 goals and 22 assists for 40 points which puts him at just a touch over a point per game this season. This current production has uhtred sitting at 244 goals and 572 points in his career, meaning he needs 6 goals and 28 points in just under half a season to go. This means uhtred is on pace for 16 more goals 35 points which gives him a lot of runway in his career milestones pursuit. After a great week uhtred is now on pace to hit both targets with the goals target seeming inevitable.
 

1. We've recovered from losing our first two games to sit at 9-2-0, topping the league and once again holding the league's best goal differential. Was there any doubt in your mind we'd recover after the rough first sim?
 
Nope we have a great team here and I knew we would get back to our winning ways at some point.
 
2. Chris Reynolds has been on a tear in recent games, leading the team in goals and the league in GWGs while Aloe Dear and Dakota Lamb sit top 3 in the league in assists, and top 10 in the league in points. Whose performance have you been most impressed with on the team thus far?
 
Chris Reynolds is the most impressive as it is more unexpected for a d to lead in goals and gwg.
 
3. Which line would you say has been the driving force for the team thus far?
 
I would say we have a balanced attack and all lines have being contributing.
 
4. What are your thoughts on the recently-announced VHLE?
My next player will be in the first draft class taking part so will be interesting.  Another league to play in while developing is great.
 
5. What is your favorite animal?
A hard one as there are alot of great options.  I will go with Lions with elephants
A close second.  Watching elephants drink from our pool in Africa was amazing.
 
6. Which real-life sport do you think has the most interesting offseason?
 
The NFL as other leagues like the NBA have a great free agency but the NFL draft puts it over the top.

Uhtreds secod last season ended horribly as he took a hooking penalty in game 7 OT that lead to a game winning goal for Helsinki, needles to say it's the low point of his career. "I feel so bad that I costed us a chance at a cup. You always feel terrible when a team scores a powerplay goal while in the box and multiply that feeling by a million and you get how I felt. I am just glad it's not the final game of my career and I can make it up by scoring the championship goal next season. Uhtred will now look to get that elusive third cup in his swan song season. "It would be great to retire as a champion and I will do everything I can to make that possible next season."
 
Had the predators came out on top in game 7, uhtred would have faced off against the Bears , the team who he won 2 cups with. I think we would have given the Bears a great series and of course I will say we would've come out on top but we will never know. I am happy for my former teammates but this season has left me a bitter old man and that will continue until we hit the ice next season.

1. We were able to pull things together and finish the season with the Victory Cup. What can we do to make sure we carry this positive momentum into the playoffs?
 
Just keep playing to our strengths which is scoring goals.  We take a ton of shots and we just need to keep at it, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take.
 
4. Is ketchup a smoothie?
I don't like smoothies but love ketchup so I'll say no.
 
5. With 291 goals this season, we topped our franchise record from last season by 1 and also solidified this era of Warsaw hockey by now having the 2 best team scoring years in the past 15 seasons. How have you enjoyed playing in our fast paced offense?
 
It's been great to play here.  I set a career high for game winning goals this season which I am happy about.  Our style has helped me within reach of 250 career goals next season.
 
6. Which of the 4 wildcard teams (LA, Vancouver, Prague, and Malmo) do you think is most likely to threaten for the cup and why?
 
I haven't really looked around the league but I'll go with a North American team as we are the threat to win the Cup from Europe.  
 
7. How has past playoff experience helped get you ready for the fight ahead?
 
Just made me hungry for more.  I have alot of playoff experience from my time at Seattle but last season just motivated me to win one here before I retire.
 
8. Do you prefer to listen to music with headphones or through speakers?
 
Speakers.  Mostly listen to music through Google home while cooking or cleaning .

Uhtred reached the 500 point milestone with the game winner against Chicago. Uhtred scored the eventual game winning goal on the powerplay which was assisted by Mitchell and grachev. "Getting my 500th point of my career was special but for it to be the game winning goal against the champs who beat us in the finals make it extra special. The only way this would have been better was if it was the OT game winner instead of being a first period game winner.". Now with 500 points uhtred now will try to reach 250 goals in his career. Uhtred currently has 213 goals which leaves 37 goals short of reaching the milestone with just under a season and a half remaining in his career. "I really want to hit 250 goals, I am still playing the game at a high level and will play until i hit the 8 year limit. I will work hard to try and make my final 2 season's end with a cup.

Uhtred is gearing up for his second season on Warsaw which will be his second last in the VHL.  His first year in Warsaw was pretty successful as the predators won the EU division but fell to Chicago in the continual cup.  This was uhtreds third continental final appearance but sadly it was his first defeat.  Uhtred enters the season with high confidence as the predators are expected to be one of the top European contenders this season.  "We have a great group of players here in Warsaw and I think we have an excellent chance of getting to the finals again and winning it, said Uhtred. The predators strength last season was the offence with the predators leading the league in goals. The goal scoring was truly a team effort as despite leading the league in goals scored, the predators didn't manage to have anyine in the top 10 in points or goals.  The predators had 4 players who scored 30 plus goals with Aloe Dear the team leader  with 40.  The predators did have to 2 top ten playmakers however with Havlova and Mitchell.   The predators have lost Havlova to retirement but the four 30 plus goal scores remain with the predators. Predators fans will hope the high octane offence continues this season and it will end in a cup this time around.

It's that time of week again! Sunday has rolled around and it seems the last little while I've been leaving the .com articles until today. Lots going on in the league and I don't want to blow too far over the required words like I usually do. Half the time when I do these things, I go way over bored and could add like 100 words and it be considered a media spot. The other half I'm probably well over. Let's get to it!
 
Good news? Bad news? I finally joined the SBA. @fonziGG  has been bugging me for what? The last year? Something like that? Maybe it's actually been longer? Not too sure but I finally did it. Basketball is an okay sport and PBE has kind of fallen out for me. I've made a couple okay players on the PBE but this last one tons of effort went in but the player wasn't much good. Killed the vibe. Time to head over and sink some 3's. I capped out last week 12/12. Usual capping is 9/12 without a job but I got in a handful of quality reviews. So far so good! Finals are happening. 3-1 Chicago right now? They could end it today? Got to tell you, never expected them to be here. Never expected them to win. Of course, too, I am a Warsaw fan. Not entirely too sure why. Warsaw Predators is a sweet name and then they got an excellent person and player in @leafsman over there! We'll always be in his corner Off-season is approaching. Nothing happening. Always on top, always start fast like bullet, but nothing this time around. No room? No cap? Lots of players - this and that. Rhyme time! We'll see what happens but we're not holding our breath going into this one. Something needs to happen to get the log jam out, but what?

Better late than never for uhtred to Show up

Uhtred is off to his third cup final of his career with the predators winning game 7 vs Moscow in a tight series. The predators head into the final with 6 wins when facing elimination. Uhtred was having a very quiet and disappointing playoffs until the final 2 games of the Moscow series. Uhtred exploded for 6 points in th final 2 games which is almost double his total in the previous 12 games. Uhtred scored both Warsaw goals in the 2-1game 6 victory where Krishna was the star of the show putting up 46 saves for the victory. This performance must have given uhtred a shot of confidence as he had a 4 people int night in game 7, a goal with three assists. "I was not happy with my performance throughout most of the playoffs and I really felt I was letting the team down. The brought me to Warsaw to provide valuable veteran experience and all I did was play like crap the last half of the season and into the playoffs. I will work hard to make sure my play doesn't drop in the final. I am fired up to win my third cup and bring the first championship to Warsaw.
