Well, if this isn't satire then this is a really awful way of coming out and saying you want a trade. Yknow, maybe like talking to your GM or something would be better. I'm gonna pretend this isn't satire and explain this for maybe the 5th time already. Dahlberg is the player I planned on building around, and he went 2nd overall. He asked for a bigger contract and I had no problem doing so because again, 2nd overall. I gave contracts based on draft position, and that's only the first season. Even though you went 9th, you have the second biggest contract on the TEAM. On top of this, all rookies are getting paid the same after this season. How much is Dahlberg making in S66? 1M. How much are you making in S66? 1M. oh shit. Dahlberg got more money because he asked for more. Not to mention, if you win ANY award you get a contract bonus. I don't understand on why you insist on turning this into a problem discussion everytime it's brought up. Even if this is a satire post, I've explained this many times so there's no reason for this to be a thing.

It is character building satire and directly related to what he was pulling out in another league. If I wanted out I'd just let you know. Not really sure why are you talking with Dahlberg on Discord and decided to get all serious on me here.
  4. Ugh
majesiu got a reaction from Nykonax in Jerwa step away from demanding a trade
Jerwa starting to think about demanding a trade, after spending a month together with Elias Dahlberg. He was already afraid of it during the preseason when he got personally attacked by the last season second overall pick, for not signing a rookie contract immediately, as it turns out it was because Dahlberg wanted to receive more money himself.
Instead of continuing the grudge, Jerwa decided to give it a chance, since he respects other teammates and GMs that decided to take on a chance on continuing within an organization that seems to have a bright future, but recent events made him reconsider this.

Elias isn't nearly living up to his 2nd Overall status as he is clearly slacking on during team training and prefer to shit talk other teams and players instead of putting in honest work towards his craft. His ego is unbearable and makes locker room far less enjoyable experience.
Furthermore, Jerwa's suspicion was confirmed after it came to his attention that he bought extremely expensive, but legal performance-enhancing drugs with money from rookie contract Jerwa didn't get. Other methods of his training dropped, and picks from 3-5 range like Mark Gebauer, Pat Svoboda or Joel Ylonen might have proven to be better choices.

What is really making Jerwa not wanting to be in Davos is anymore is Dahlberg on ice-performance. They all knew it's a tank year in Davos, but at least you could put up some effort. Only thing Elias doing on ice is hunting for goals, even his assists are just really his rebounded shots. He refuses to check opponents, evident by barely any hits and the only 3 blocked shots came when he got hit by a puck when trying to hunt for counter-attack opportunities, instead of positioning properly. His 6 PIM are laughable as well and he earned not through hard play, but because of delay of game penalties, when he either berated referees or teammates.

So on pick 11, EAGLES tagged XSJACK, which skipped 2 turns for MAJESIU and 1 turn for EAGLES.

XSJACK picked G-ISEULT, then he tagged DOLLARANDADREAM, skipping TACTICAL again who was already in skip mode, and I picked G-KRIKETERS.

MAJESIU came back not supposed to be skipped his 2 turns and picked G-ISEULT and F-PREENCARNACION. This erases XSJACK's pick of ISEULT, because he never should have been able to pick him if MAJESIU wanted him first.

Then you picked F-CHARM for TACTICAL, who was skipped both early on because he missed it, then by EAGLES tagging me, so that made up 1 pick when he should have made up 2.

Then you tagged XSJACK, because he had to make up his pick of G-ISEULT, since MAJESIU came back and picked him when he shouldn't have been skipped.

Then you came and picked F-ODINSSON for TACTICAL, which made up his turn.

---------------------> ALL of these picks were actually before my pick of G-KRIKETERS. But, after all this, we were all caught up and it was supposed to be 2 turns for VICTOR.

Then you tagged me, DOLLARANDADREAM, and I picked F-BORWINN.

I then tagged VICTOR, who picked his 2 guys and everything was normal. Then VICTOR tagged me, and I should not have been tagged, because I already picked early because you tagged me. VICTOR tagged me, not knowing any of thing, and I just went with the tags because I wasn't checking anything.

So my D-MALENKO pick was taken before all these ....

So, I didn't cheat is what I'm trying to say. I was just going by when I was tagged and then picking. Also, F-BORWINN should have been the guy I didn't get, since I picked G-KRIKETERS before all that mix up. But, at the same time, EAGLES could have seen G-KRIKETERS already on the first page that I picked him.

So, what I'm gathering from all of this on my chart is, EAGLES picked G-KRIKETERS when he was already picked, and it was F-BORWINN who was picked early. Then on top of that, EAGLES had another pick he was skipped on. So, @eaglesfan036 can go now and pick BORWINN which was my early guy or someone else, then pick another guy on top of that. He can't take my pick of D-MALENKO though, because he was skipped that turn and that's how I was able to pick him.

    Then it's Victor's turn.

majesiu got a reaction from StamkosFan in Jerwa seen packing
After the draft that saw him drop to the second round after various smear articles branded him as Glorified Welfare, the Polish player disrespect continued from the side of the management of the team that decided to draft him offering scraps on his rookie deal, much less than 2nd Overall Pick Elias Dahlberg was offered .

"If teams don't want me in the VHL I get that and I can find other teams willing to take chance on me in other leagues" - these were the only comment reporters could get from 9th Overall Pick when he was boarding the plane headed back to his home country.

While players like Ryan Sullivan Jr or Elias Dahlberg were surefire bets at the top of the class, even arguably Joel Ylonen, Mark Gebauer and Pat Svoboda were better players than Jerwa, it was quite shocking to see three more wingers, in the draft full of them, taken ahead of the second-best defenceman, neither John Madden, Diljodh or Kyson Blake seemed to be better fits or picks.

To fell down like this outside the first round, which was the aim of Jerwa hard training ever since coming back to the league, might be a final blow to his activity and career. Other rumours also said he wasn't even team's first choice at 9th, as they would have taken Brick Wahl if that player wasn't so adamant about playing for Calgary.

Kyson Blake at 8th also made sense for Riga, as if they had drafted a 200+ player like yourself you’d unfortunately have no choice but to play on the third defensive pairing. Going to HC Davos allows you to achieve ice time and grow with a rebuilding team as a member of the core.

Rookie salaries are are determined by how much TPE a drafted player has and not so much what they demand.

Alrighty I’m gonna do a quick mock draft. (First 6 Picks

Dont hate me this is my opinion.

    1.  Ryan Sullivan Jr. @Advantage
    D |6’6”|220lb|YUK

Almost a no brainer at this point Ryan Sullivan Jr. is going 1st overal. He’s been leading the draft class since I’ve joined (and probably earlier) and there was not many close to him. He’s a big kid weighing 220lb at 6’6”. He’s a forced to be reckoned with on the ice. He has 80 skating already which is absurd. He has excellent passing and amazing defensive abilities. Top of my list no doubt.

    ACTUAL RANKING: 1

    2. Elias Dahlberg @Nykonax
    LW|6’3”|196lb|OTT

Damn this can f*cking shoot. He’s top of the league in goals for a reason. Other than that he is also second in points. He’s speedy, tough, and has a great defensive ability. You could probably not go wrong picking him at 1st but we have him here at 2nd.

    ACTUAL RANKING: 6

    3. Joel Ylonen @Esso2264
    C|6’1”|187lb|LVA

Call me biased since he’s my teammate but he’s one heck of a player. Good skating, great passing, decent shot, and good defensive ability. Put him up this high due to activity. Other people in his position seem to only be claiming welfare or either quite away down when comparing TPE. Solid pick at 3rd.

    ACTUAL RANKING: 7

    4. Ryan Zabby @RyanZabby
    C|6’8”|140lb|YUK

Ignoring the fact this guy is a f*cking twig,(Jesus 240lb at 6’8”) he is a solid center. He is racking up points like there’s no tomorrow. He’s fast, good scoring, good play making, and a great defensive ability. He has dropped down the rankings due to only claiming a little tpe in the last few weeks compared to others expected to go in the first round of the draft.

    ACTUAL RANKING: 3

    5. Brick Wahl @BladeMaiden
    G|6’7”|247lb|SSK

One heck of a goalie. Definitely best goalie in this draft. Wahl has proven he is an absolute tank and a snipers worst nightmare. Only reason they have dropped so far down is due to their position.

    ACTUAL RANKING: 2

    6. Piotr Jerwa @majesiu
    D|6’3”|218lb|SSK

A solid defenceman who is an offensive threat. This kid can absolutely rip the puck aswell as send a beauty of a pass. Not only that he has probably one of the best defensive abilities in this defensively packed draft class. Reason for the drop in ranking is inactivity and not claiming TPE very actively compared to other players.

    ACTUAL RANKING: 4

Again please no hate this is my opinion on who I would pick in which order. Obviously teams who pick in certain positions have different needs. This is just my opinion. If you would like to rearrange this to away you think is better, please feel free to!

    (S64) Piotr Jerwa
    Defenceman Age: 19
    6' 3" 218 lb.
    VHLM Drafted: S63 SSK 4
Polish player Piotr Jerwa was born in Kraków, in Poland. He moved to Bankhead, Alberta in 2013. Joined the VHL at the end of the S62 and was picked up on waivers by Oslo Storm to be drafted later with the 20th Overall Pick in the S63 VHLM Dispersal Draft by the Saskatoon Wild. Soon after he was chosen as Brand Executive for the Haterade.

    Strengths
    +Defence
He always focused on the less glamorous end of the game. While not necessarily the strongest or the quickest man on the ice, he is certainly the smartest when it comes to positioning and quick, smart-witted decision requiring split-second reaction to prevent opposing teams from scoring. He is specializing in penalty kill minutes, preferring to rest during the power play opportunities, leaving that to more offensive-minded teammates.

    +Skating
Jerwa was practically born in skates and living in the mountain heavy part of the country always had an opportunity to improve this skill, whether during a game of hockey or just skating on neighbouring lake. Not being overly bulky also helps his overall ability to move on the ice gracefully and find the best paths to quickly move from one side to the other and move the puck out of the blue line most efficiently.

    +Leadership
One thing that is often overlooked when assessing prospects is how they respond to various difficulties and how they impact their teammates. If previous points weren't enough to convince you of Piotr value, this one certainly should, because of his selfless play, he is well-liked in the clubhouse. His biggest focus is always on winning and keeping a good atmosphere in the team because one with the other often goes hand in hand. He is always up for a bigger challenge, which is evident by taking a bigger role as Brand Executive at such a young age.

    Weaknesses
    -Shooting
What he noticed early is that a lot of players focus solely on their shooting ability and never stop improving it during their career. While it's probably the single most important ability, if you have 5 great shooters on ice it's still far less valuable than 4 great and 1 good passer. That's why he decided to improve other facets of the game. His shot is decent, but don't expect him to score bangers from blue line often.
    -Checking
Piotr comes from different school on defence, that isn't as physical but more sophisticated. Brutal force is often effective, but is also high-risk strategy, because of penalty risk, and what good comes out of you if you force your team into less than ideal man down situations? While he can, and sometimes does, hit people he shies away from that, prioritizing proper positioning and shot blocking.
    -Strength
As mentioned before he is more of a finesse than a physical player, which is visible in his style of play. He rarely goes into fights or physical altercations preferring duke moves and passing the puck to a teammate in a more favourable position. Obviously, if some situation arises when he needs it (to survive the hit, or in the rare faceoff opportunity) he is in disadvantage, but more often than not his unique style of play is conducive to the team success.

With Season 63 VHLM soon to be started look out for Jerwa smart defence and involving other players on offence. I'm sure if you look at more than a scoreboard you are going to see how impactful player he can be, even on the VHL level.

    SASKATOON, SASKATCHEWAN—
Rumors have turned to confirmed reports that the brand new Haterade Brand has come to terms with Saskatoon Wild forward Curtis Gary. The deal is for 1 year, for $250,000. Gary, one of many rookies in the VHLM this year, official signed the deal before an on ice session this morning. Perfect timing, for the Saskatoon forward, to rep his new Haterade brand gear.

“It feels good to get an endorsement deal before the season begins”, Gary said. “I think I’m really going to enjoy being apart of the Haterade brand team, it’s a very exciting time for me personally.”

When asked about the terms of his 1 year deal Gary had this to say. “It’s good start, I’m very content with the money and the length of the deal. I think I can use the 1 year deal as motivation to proof my worth as a player and a teammate. It’s defiantly an exciting time, and I can’t wait till the season gets started.”

    Jerwa Continues Development

After joining the VHL at the end of last season Piotr Jerwa wasn't able to play a game yet but decided to go very demanding routine spending some of the time in Oslo Storm practice facilities before going over the ocean in preparations to the upcoming S43 VHLM Dispersal draft.
    That routine included:
    - Morning mountain hike to build up endurance, while listening to motivating materials and strategy guidelines
    - Very energizing breakfast and watching the video of best defenders of all time, studying all the possible quirks
    - Hockey practice with the big focus on positioning, skating and passing. Other attributes aren't forgotten but slightly less time is spent on them like puck handling, scoring, checking or penalty shot and discipline.
    - Hitting the gym and using all possible equipment including Elliptical trainers, Rowing machines, Stair-steppers, Stationary bicycle, Treadmill, Ankle Weights and doing basic stuff on the exercise mat.
    - Regeneration phase hitting cryotherapy, sauna, massages - he plans to have a long career and you can't disregard taking care of your body even early on.

Even though he joined the draft pool quite late, Piotr is sure he did everything possible in his power to raise the stock and become best possible hockey player in such a short amount time and is looking hopeful to find a new team via the upcoming draft.
