With the NHL Playoffs set to begin tomorrow, we've decided to run a league Bracket Challenge. I will be putting out a new form for you to make your picks as each round begins, starting with:
 
Round 1 HERE Round 2 - East Division Round 2 - Central Division Round 2 - West Division Round 2 - North Division
Round 3 - Semi-Finals
Round 4 - Stanley Cup Finals
 
Scoring System (Maximum # of Points = 225)
Correctly Pick the Series Winner = 10 Points
Correctly Pick # of Games for series to end (regardless of winner) = 5 Points

Correctly Predict Stanley Cup Winner (in Round 1) = 4 TPE 1st Place = 6 TPE Place 2-3 = 5 TPE Place 4-5 = 4 TPE Place 6-10 = 3 TPE Place 11-20 = 2 TPE Place 21+ = 1 TPE  
Round 2 will be broken up by division, as soon as each matchup is set.
 
Each form will be open asap from when the matchup is set, and will close approx. 1-hour before puck drop of Game 1.

  Bogdan Trunov was picked #49 in the S77 VHLM Draft. Small expectations threw off the weight of responsibility and prospect started play in bottom six. San Diego russian center spent his first regular season not good at all. Throughout the half of the season he was going pretty good , showing the positive results for the guy from 3rd/4th line, scoring a point in 3-4 games. Then he had 8 games in a row without points. After a drought, he returned to his former pace, ended the regular season with 20 points (9+11) in 72 games.

 Despite the unimpressive perfomance of Trunov, Marlins made the playoffs at Miami Marauders. During a short break after regular season, Bogdan improved a lot of aspects of his game and got his best form to help the team to pass as many rounds as they could. Bogdan demonstrated to the hockey world his mobility, silky-smooth skating and offensive ability. Though, his biggest advantage is his hockey sense and ability to influence the game from all three zones and both special teams. Unfortunately, in a tough 7-game confrontation, Miami came out victorious. Nevertheless, prospect showed his best game.

The annual VHL Entry Draft combine assessment involves interviews, medical screenings, and fitness tests over a four-day period. All VHL teams send representatives to watch the testing and to take part in the interviewing of the young prospects. The assessment includes fitness testing, medical evaluation, psychological evaluation, an interview and possibly skill testing. @Spartan feel free to follow my step-by-step example!
 
1. Get a topic to write about. Nothing too lengthy, just a topic that is on your mind. Makes sure this topic won't trigger any emotions in your brain to make you go off on a writing spree. Keep it short, you just want a .com, not a Media Spot you can claim for a month. Let's say, your players performance. Take a look at his stats, think of a short story, and start typing it into your topic.
 
2. Now, formatting. Make sure you have a readable font color, but not something too bland. Lot's of people mess up step 2. Those damn light-mode users oftem make the text black instead of default. Or, they copy and paste a message and leave an ugly white background. Double check to make sure your font is a readable color for both themes and make sure you have no background.
2.1. Make sure your article has some POP! words. Throw in some bold words, maybe some underlined. Make sure you are able to grab the readers attention. However, not too much attention, this is just a .com, not a media spot.
2.2. Don't use centered text.
 
3. Have a word counter on standby. Try not to go overboard. Make sure you are checking how many words you are writing. Too many words and just like that, you have 1,000 words.
 
There you go, how to write less than 300 words. I just did it in my example.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (204 C), and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Cut the fish into large cubes (or strips if you prefer) and add to a medium mixing bowl. Top with oil, salt, pepper, cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper (optional), and cornmeal (optional). Toss to coat. The fish should be so well coated that you almost can’t see it anymore. Don’t be shy with the spices! Transfer to parchment-lined baking sheet, arrange in a single layer, and bake for 10-12 minutes or until fish is cooked through. In the meantime, prepare any sides, such as guacamole, fresh herbs, and lime wedges. To serve, warm tortillas and top each with 1 Tbsp guacamole and 2 pieces of fish, and serve with lime wedges. Serve with quick pickled veggies, chipotle aioli, and/or fresh cilantro for more flavor and texture (all optional). Store leftover cooked fish separately up to 2-3 days. Cooked recipe is not freezer friendly. I am very excited for supper tonight.
