  1. Peace with the robo calls. Bold recruiting strategy.
  2. 1-What did you think of the VHLM Draft? Were there any surprises for you? I enjoyed the draft. The live stream was a little off the rails, if I'm being honest, and I think that could be improved but tracking the pick by pick and seeing myself be taken 13th overall was fun. First time being drafted in the VHL in all these years. I was surprised at being drafted that high. 2- Did you listen to the draft stream? What makes a draft interesting for you? I did. I felt like they weren't very prepared, could have just had the page open on the pick by pick tracker in the Portal instead of cursing and complaining about typing the names in their own spreadsheet. It was more of that and less actual conversation happening around the teams and the players, which was disappointing. I tuned out and just watched the picks in the portal. 3- S67 is about to start with a Loaded Reaper Roster how do you feel about this? I'm blessed to have landed in Philly and with this cast of teammates. I'm really excited about what this team is capable of. 4-Guy with the best name on our team and why. Condor Adrienne. It's just a great name. 5-How are you settling in to life in Philadelphia? Very well. The management make it easy to get informed and engaged. 6-If you could make one rule for the Reapers what would it be? Max your update every week? haha 7- Do you eat before or after a game, best pre or post game food and why? Gatorade, because I'm trying to get that sponsorship. 8-What are your personal goals for the season? Have a quality +/- and score some points. Just want to be an impactful teammate. 9- What VHLM team do you think will struggle at this point? I haven't seen the other rosters, yet, so it's hard to say. 10- One things you would like to see the team do this season. Come together in the discord, have a hell of a time and go out and win another championship
  3. Hoping my Donations Double goes through from last week so I can break 100 pre-draft and before earning this week.
  4. Thanks for posting this @Beketov.
  5. What inspired my players name? I've always liked the name Case or Kase. I'm not sure why. The Martell's are from Game of Thrones. I probably like the name Case Martell because I've heard the name Tate Martell 100 times, but what can you do. I never go with generic names, so trying this on for size. What's been your favorite part of the league so far? Frankly, I'm trying to cover the league through SSN and it's teaching me a LOT about the league. So much. I'm really getting into it! Do you have any questions about the league that you would like answered? I would. I can't figure out how Frostbeard was a VHLM selection just this past year but is already on a VHL team. I thought VHLM draftees get drafted and become VHL draftees that year, so he'd have been eligible for this upcoming draft. Right? That entire transition from VHLM to VHL and guys who were drafted still playing in VHLM confuses me a bit.
  6. SSN FUTURES - Amateur Press Conference Hello Draftees, As part of SSN FUTURES coverage of your S67 VHL Draft, I'd like highlight all of you and get some general information about your VHLM season, your excitement heading into the draft and your thoughts on becoming a professional. This is completely voluntary, just a way to give you guys some much-deserved attention to kick off the off-season. With no further ado, here are my questions. How would you describe your VHLM experience? How would you describe your play this season? How would you describe your excitement leading up to the VHL Draft? Around what pick range do you expect to go and why? If you wanted General Managers to know one thing about you, what would it be? I appreciate the time and effort anyone puts into answering these pressers. Thank you in advance and good luck to all of our draftees! Thank you, Shaka Tagging the top 20 Earners: @Phil @Rayzor_7 @Quik @11 Eleven @HulkHogan @Sullvino @FakeJenton @Victor @Acydburn @chillzone @Banackock @Tate @Motzaburger @Greg_Di @Savoire Faire @PenKnight @No_Dangles @fonziGG @Advantage @DoktorFunk
  7. S67 VHL FUTURES V.1 On Friday night, the VHL’s Moscow Menace stunned the Barclay’s Center by winning the Draft Lottery for the second consecutive night. From that moment, the Menace were essentially on the clock, busying their draft boards and meeting with scouts to assign value accordingly to the top of their list . And then they traded it, as many pundits expected. While teams scramble for draft capital, many of the contending draftees for a top five pick are left waiting for their brief moment in the spotlight. At SSN FUTURES, we strive to shine the spotlight on them far before draft night, and today we’re proud to release our first volume of VHL FUTURES! For many followers of the sport, Season 67 for the VHLM is being considered the most competitive season in league history. With eight teams contending for much of the year, as many teams as has been in the VHLM prior to expansion this year, there has never been more competition and intrigue within the league. Atop that intrigue has been San Diego Center, Phil Marleau. The 5th selection in last years VHLM Draft has an up and down year, finishing with 65 points and just +18 on the season. That type of season has some pundits shaky on their assessment of the massive Marleau, however, many experts believe it’s a shell of the potential Marleau has shown on the ice for the Marlins. Marleau’s elite blend of scoring and defense make him a clear cut contender for the #1 overall pick in a little under a week. On the opposite spectrum sits Aston Martin. Last seasons 13th overall pick in the VHLM draft has far exceeded expectations, posting an incredible +51 on the year. That number places him second in the entire league, behind Philadelphia’s Duncan Jeffers and the highest ranked player of any player not drafted by a professional team. His 100 points was also most by any amateur and placed him fifth in the league. Martin’s a fast riser and contender for a top pick. Take a look at our S67 VHL FUTURES Draft Rankings! 8. Thanks for asking these questions! If I was commissioner of the VHL for one day, the very first thing I'd do is read all of the forums I currently don't have access to ? Brooklyn. They have such a history in the SBA, it'd be cool to see them get a team in the VHL. Big rivalry chance with New York. Goalie interests me the most. I wanted to create one, but I always hear it's not something you should do your first go-around. My next guy will be one. In these sim leagues, not unlike real life, I find the storylines and the unpredictableness of the leagues to be the most engaging. So much can go right or wrong, out of your control. Trick question. Sweet and salty. Chocolate with some salt is ++. Like chocolate covered pretzels? Yes please.
  9. Just got around to fully reading this. I appreciate the answers. Really good stuff. It's always great to get in-depth with this stuff and learn about a team or player. I really appreciate when guys get into it and answer like this. Seems Halifax is in great hands.
  10. @Beketov has a pedestrian game. Still talks trash. If that's the bar, I may have a career here yet!
  11. Wilson saved Helsinki in that one. This is fun to follow.

  13. Thanks for asking these questions. I've always wanted to be part of this league and community and could never get myself interested enough in the sport. I decided I was going to approach player building like I do in the other leagues and that help me learn the sport. SSN is coming along. The first two iterations, though I wanted them to work, essentially because test runs for interest and operations. The new, and final iteration, will finally patch the leagues together in a way that fully fleshes out the sim universe. I'm excited for it. I plan to run Case Martell into regression. 100 TPE is the first benchmark. I should hit it fairly soon. I'd have to say I really enjoy the Titans. They're the most aesthetically pleasing team atm.
  14. @Thranduil Congratulations on the strong year this season. I have a few questions, as a prospect looking from the outside of the VHLM. What would you say makes Halifax stand out in a more and more crowded field of VHLM teams? What philosophy do you believe in as a General Manager of a developmental program? What's your favorite thing about the VHLM, in general? What has been one of your favorite experiences in your time at the VHL, so far? A more pointed question, now. What do you look for in an ideal VHLM Left or Right Wing?(100-200 TPE) Thanks in advance for answering these questions. Good luck in the playoffs!
