  1. It's so confusing for new members. Granted the VHL also is but the SHL takes it to a whole different level. Plus the forum is squeezed into a small space. Then there's the twitter thing on the side and the site takes too much time to load. I do love the whole unlimited career length though.
  2. Username: Ninetyfourgoalie Team Name: Walcott Your Ass Why Should You Be Picked: Never done this before but I had a great experience in my first Super Cup and my team will win it all. Plus you need more GMs And nobody picked Walcott yet and I'd be perfect because Poole is going to be the best Legion dman ever, better than Walcott.
  3. Meute Express Meute Titans
  4. After New York Americans center Jody 3 Moons, in his usual outspoken manner, publicly criticized Sachimo Zoidberg for not making the playoffs after taking the scoring title in the final game, Jerrick Poole immediately took an issue with his comments. Furthermore, 3 Moons continued to bash the entire Toronto Legion organization, calling Zoidberg the "1 good player on a shitty team". While it may not have been 3 Moons' intention to call out an entire team, his comments certainly came across that way, forcing Legion defenseman Poole to release the following statement. "Hey Jody, if you're so good, why didn't any team take you to be an important part of their rebuild? Maybe you remember being drafted tenth overall to a team that just won the Continental Cup and the fact that you're far from the best player on your team. Hell, you weren't even good enough to make the VHL last season and Sachimo scored more points than you in the VHLM too. You're nothing more than mediocre and wouldn't even be on Toronto's first line so not sure why you're saying Zoidberg is our only good player anyways. You just got lucky because all you did was give the puck to XXX. Have fun being the weak link on a contender. Because soon enough the Legion will blow you out of the water." Strong words from the young defenseman who had a breakout season, finishing third among defensemen in points, second in the league in blocked shots and tenth in hits, good enough for fourth best of the league's dmen. It should be interesting to see if this begins to spark a rivalry as the Legion begin to enter their prime while the Americans, a team loaded with veteran talent, begins to feel the effects of age.
  5. apparently Zoidberg is the only good player on the Legion. Good to know.
  6. I'll do Taylor's but I can be second in line just in case something goes wrong since I also just finished one
  7. Yeah I think you should just go to Toronto next season
  8. In a surprising turn of events, after just about everyone left Toronto for dead, they have gone on a tear, winning five in a row including three in a row against teams currently in playoff positions. The streak began with a commanding 6-2 victory of the Stockholm Vikings while their most recent win was a 6-3 handling of the Wranglers that further helped their surviving playoff chances. While the playoffs are still only a very slim possibility and overcoming Calgary would be a major surprise, it is safe to say that they have a team that can play with the league's best. Over this streak, the Legion have outscored their opponents by an incredible 28-14. To put that into perspective, they have won each game by an average of 5.6 goals to 2.8, a truly dominant stretch, especially considering the teams they have gone up against. If they can keep this up, they will come into the playoffs as hot as anyone and once you're in, anything can happen.
  9. it worked 5 game winning streak now including three straight over the Express, Titans, and Wranglers
  10. VHL This Week Season 41 Edition 7 Welcome to the seventh edition of Season 41's VHL This Week! These past seven days have been turbulent, to say the least. Victor has stepped down as commissioner, we did not have a sim for a total of four days, and Cologne and Helsinki have made GM changes. Nonetheless, we're back to business with just six games before the playoffs. Five teams have clinched playoff berths, the Americans clinching the North American Conference title, while the Legion are still alive as they fight to overcome a now eight point deficit to the Wranglers. Unlikely but stranger things have happened and it will certainly make for an exciting storyline over the next few days. Announcements Although it's already been mentioned, the league has experienced significant turnover this week. Victor has stepped down as well as STZ and RomanesEuntDomus, GMs of the Helsinki Titans and Cologne Express, respectively. Taking over for the Titans will be Draper while Devise22 will grab the reigns for the Express. The writing ranks competition has been whittled down to four competitors! Round 3 will feature Noah!! vs. YEAH! and Doomsday vs. Green in what is sure to produce even more great writing! Submissions should be revealed in the coming days. Make sure to check out Edition 224 of the VHL Magazine! The Super Cup will take place at the end of this season! The competition will feature players from around the VHL and VHLM competing in a fantasy-style competition that will be sure to add some excitement to this off-season. Game Discussion With so much on the line right now for the five teams still fighting for the playoffs or better position, I will solely focus on them as we take a look at the best games of this past week. First we have an exciting game between the Reign and Meute. This one was destined to be a great one before the first drop of the puck as these are two of the best teams in the league. The game started out very tightly with each team doing their best to make sure they would not be scored on first. It took just over fifteen minutes after an interference call against Tony Stark. The Reign made excellent use of their first powerplay of the game as they would cycle the puck around the offensive zone for just under a minute before Robin Gow found the back of the net to give Riga the early lead. Appearing to grab momentum, the Reign started to control play in the second period before Robert Gow III gave them a commanding 2-0 lead midway through the game. While it appeared to take the Meute some time to realize the urgency of the game, Dexter Morgan was able to rifle one past Mike Szatkowski Jr. to cut Riga's lead in half just a minute before the period ended. Not willing to take their time, Quebec City came out hungry in the third as Jakob Linholm scored his 30th over the season to tie the game at 2-2, a score that would last through regulation. But once overtime began, the Meute took no time to hand the Reign a loss as Rami Jakobssen scored the gamewinner off a juicy rebound. This next matchup was between the two teams entrenched in the tightest battle in the league - the Titans and Express. Both teams came out ready to go, fighting hard early, setting the tone for a great game. But the Express fell victim to their backup goalie as Don Draper put Helsinki up by one halfway through the period. Just a few minutes later, Chris Raymond extended their lead on a perfectly placed shot off the offensive zone faceoff, digging a hole for Cologne quickly. The Express staved off the Helsinki attack for the rest of the period but were not feeling good about a two goal deficit after the first period. Something the coach said in the locker room must have fired them up as the Express came out firing on all cylinders in the second, giving the Titans no room to make anything happen. Although it took time, Cologne finally got on the board with a Logan Laich powerplay goal thirteen minutes into the second. Just four minutes later, Andrey Zadorov blasted one home to tie the game up and help the Express head into the third all tied up. Just a minute into the third period, the Express got their break and took the lead after Godavari Yumalatopinto retrieved a blocked shot and put it past Kimmo Salo. Although the Titans managed to put up a strong fight, they couldn't muster up any more offense and the 3-2 score would hold up as the final, giving the Express a much needed regulation win over their conference rival. 11. Season 41 Review: Toronto Legion The season is almost over and with the Legion twelve points behind the Calgary Wranglers, who also have a game in hand, with just ten games remaining, making the playoffs would be nothing short of amazing. Season 41 is all but over for the inexperienced team who failed to take advantage of a tremendous opportunity to end the longest active playoff drought in the VHL. That is not to say, though, that this season has been a total disappointment for the Legion. They continue to make strides towards relevance and were the only non-playoff team able to pose a legitimate threat in each and every game they played thanks to their offensive firepower, resulting in a record above .500 through 62 games. As this season can largely be categorized as a disappointment, it only makes sense to begin with what went wrong for the Legion. While many would point to goaltending as the team's biggest hole, that does not fully explain Toronto's mediocrity in Season 41. The number one thing that killed this team was special teams. While this, at first, seems strange considering they have one of the top emerging offensive talents in the VHL in Sachimo Zoidberg as well as two of the very best two-way players in the league in Jerrick Poole and Tyler Cote, it becomes more obvious as we dig deeper into the team's performance this year. One of the most striking deficiencies for the Legion is their ability to win faceoffs. As a whole, the team won just over 41% of faceoffs with Tyler Cote the only player to win more than half his attempts. In fact, Devin Sundberg, for some reason, has taken just under 2000 faceoffs this season yet has won just 35% of these tries, an absolutely disgraceful number. Devin Sundberg has been a liability in the faceoff circle for the Legion this season As if these faceoff numbers aren't brutal enough, the Legion have only won 38% of their defensive zone faceoffs. This isn't helped by the fact that Toronto is currently the third most penalized team and has also surrendered the third most powerplay goals, just one less than the Dynamo and Vikings, good enough for a penalty kill rate of just under 79%. But killing penalties is far from the extent of this team's issues. Despite having one of the better offenses in the league in terms of goals scored, no team has a more inefficient powerplay than the Legion. Scoring goals on just 12% of their powerplay chances, something is going very, very wrong. Can Sachimo Zoidberg and the rest of Toronto's powerplay unit drastically improve next season? Many will point to inexperience as the reason for the team's poor play and lack of capitalizing on their opportunities. But the question remains: how long can this team continue to use youth as a crutch? At some point, the Legion need to make a move or two that will allow them to win now. Yes, they have a strong core with solid support around them. But goaltender is still an issue as Okranitz has many worrying that he may never be anything more than a below average VHL netminder. The center position is also a huge problem and, barring major improvements this off-season, the team very well could be looking back once again at a season full of missed opportunities. Rathod Jr. has been getting plenty of playing time with nothing to show for it. As nice as it is to build a team through homegrown talent, we're seeing Helsinki struggle to be anything more than a pretty good team and Toronto very well could be headed to the same exact fate barring a major move to bring in not only experience but high quality experience. This may not have to happen through a trade - free agency is always a viable option. But with a roster full contracts expiring after Season 42, the Legion must do something to give their players a reason to believe the best move for the future is sticking with Toronto, a team that, as of yet, has shown no reason to suggest that a Continental Cup is in its future.

  13. Fucking Sony Vaio... I had one for just over two years. My hard drive died four times before I ditched it.
  14. You're a GM??
  15. Even if there's some sarcasm there, judging by what's happened so far this season, we've played six times. In these games, the Bears have earned a whopping 1 point. I'd be pretty shocked if we lost to you guys tbh.
  16. Hard to say without knowing a whole lot about the history of the league and without much access to overall statistical leaders (if someone can point me to all-time leaders that would be awesome because I have to imagine these exist somewhere...). But I think he has to be right up there with Aiden Shaw considering their similar careers in terms of both statistics and awards.
  17. VHL This Week Season 41 Edition 6 Welcome to the sixth edition of VHL This Week so far in Season 41! This has been an exciting season and despite being just 15 games from the playoffs, there are a number of battles that are yet to be decided and very well may not be until the final games. In the North American Conference, the Toronto Legion are trying to muster up a late season rally to overtake the Wrangler for the third and final playoff position while in the European Conference, the Express, Reign, and Titans are all entrenched in a heated battle for the elusive first round playoff bye. Stay tuned to keep track of all the exciting competition the VHL has in store. Announcements The trade deadline has come and gone with little action among teams this year. In fact the only deadline trade was one between conference rivals Calgary and Quebec City. In an interesting move, the Wranglers sent two of their top performers in winger Jakob Linholm and defenseman Tony Stark to the Meute for a Season 43 second round pick. Game Discussion Now if people don't care about these - please do not hesitate to let me know! It is quite a bit of work and, right now, the focal point of VHL This Week so if there is something else I should discuss more in depth, I want to know Anyways, the first game we will look at is this one between the Legion and Vikings. Starting off quickly were the Vikings as they took an early lead less than five minutes into the game off a quick shot by Tyrone Williams. While the Legion picked up the pace following this goal, Stockholm held them off as the first period ended with the Vikings up 1-0. The second period was a different story, though, as Sachimo Zoidberg tied the game up on a shorthanded goal that came a the result of a perfectly placed Jaime Hill pass. While it would take ten minutes before another goal was scored, Zoidberg managed to scored two more times in the period as he earned the natural hat trick that helped Toronto take their 3-1 lead into the third period. The Vikings would not go down easily, though. Just six seconds into the third, Lloyd Light managed to cut Toronto's lead in half but a quick response by the Legion all but negated that effort and seemed to demoralize Stockholm as Toronto came away with a strong 5-3 victory. Next is a matchup between the Seattle Bears and Riga Reign. Riga started this one off especially strongly, outshooting the Bears 14-2 in the first period and striking first off a Brennan McQueen one-timer. Early in the second frame, they extended their lead as Robin Gow scored his 35th of the season. But the Bears would not go down so easily as they fought back with all their might and were rewarded when Queen Latifa cut the lead to one just over halfway through the game. But just twenty seconds later, Robert Gow III helped Riga regain their two goal lead, a goal that seemed to deflate a discourage the Bears, who failed to muster any real significant scoring chance the rest of the game as the Reign captured the 3-1 win. Finally, we have an exciting game between two playoff teams from opposite conferences, the Americans and Express. This game featured back and forth action that made this a great game from start to finish. While New York dominated the first period, exerting an incredible 12 to 3 shot advantage over Cologne, it would be Mason Richardson of the Express who struck first, less than thirty seconds from the first intermission. The second period was far more balanced but it was the Americans who scored first, this time a goal from Tom Slaughter helped to tie the game. Ever the defensive battle, the two teams headed into the third embattled in a 1-1 tie. But things looked terrible for the Express in the final frame as the Americans came out hard and strong, taking a one goal lead off Xin Xie Xiao's big shot from the point. While it seemed like New York would be able to keep the Express at bay, everything changed with just over a minute remaining in the game as Ron World Peace knotted it up at two to eventually force overtime despite a New York shot advantage that was in excess of a two to one ratio. Yet in overtime, it was the Express who controlled play. Cologne possessed the puck from the initial faceoff and just over a minute into overtime, Logan Laich found the back of the net to nab a big win for Cologne. 18. Obviously, the hot topic right now is the one playoff race yet to be determined. With Calgary dumping Jakob Linholm and Tony Stark for a draft pick, can the Toronto Legion make up the deficit and take the third and final playoff spot in the North American Conference or will the Wranglers hold onto their shrinking lead? Despite the losses suffered by Calgary, Toronto has failed to capitalize thus far, earning just 9 points in their past ten games - only one more than Calgary, not nearly good enough to erase the Wranglers' lead. With a 9 point deficit and just fifteen games remaining, the Legion have their work cut out for them if they want to end their playoff drought which is currently the longest of any team in the VHL. So, let's take a look at the remaining schedule for each team and make some predictions... Legion 288 vs. Bears W 294 @ Reign L 297 vs. Express OTL 301 @ Express L 307 vs. Vikings W 315 @ HC Dynamo W 319 vs. Titans L 325 @ Express L 329 vs. Wranglers W 331 @ Express L 336 vs. Vikings W 343 vs. Reign L 346 @ HC Dynamo W 352 vs. Bears W 356@ HC Dynamo W Overall: 17 Points Wranglers 289 @ Vikings W 292 @ Express L 299 vs. Reign L 305 vs. HC Dynamo W 310 @ Titans OTL 311 @ Reign L 317 vs. Bears W 324 vs. Reign L 329 @ Legion OTL 334 vs. Americans OTL 337 @ Americans L 341 @ Express L 348 vs. Meute L 354 vs. Reign L 355 @ Meute L Overall: 9 Points After reviewing each team's schedule, it appears that it will be difficult for the Legion. Assuming I manage to somehow be correct about all predictions, Toronto will still find itself back one point at the conclusion of the season. Regardless, this will be an exciting race to watch as the Legion look to take the next step while the Wranglers begin their rebuilding process.
  19. My apologies for taking a bit longer but with a lot of traveling over the past few days, just hadn't found the time to finish this thing up. But without further ado, here's Alexander Labatte's article: http://www.vhlforum.com/index.php?/topic/16310-s36-class-alexander-labatte-player/
  20. G - Alexander Labatte Birthplace: Omsk, Russia Height: 6'3" Weight: 210 lbs Jersey Number: 33 Drafted: S28 (2nd Overall) TOR Username: sterling When you think of the great goaltenders of VHL history, a number of names come to mind: Aidan Shaw, CAL G, Tomas Tukio, Daisuke Kanou, and, of course, Alexander Labatte. Labatte was destined for greatness the moment the Toronto Legion called his name with the second overall pick in the Season 28 VHL Entry Draft and immediately followed through, helping the team to its third ever Continental Cup in just his second season into the league. Labatte's career was filled with hardware as he racked up awards, even managing to earn the Scotty Campbell Trophy as the league's most valuable player in Season 32. He is a player young goaltenders around the world look up to and only dream of being as good, as dominant, and as consistent as. Alexander Labatte has rightfully earned his place in the Hall of Fame as, easily, one of the best all time. Career Awards S26 - Founder's Cup (Brampton Blades) S28 - Christian Stolzschweiger Award S29 - Victory Cup (Toronto Legion) S29 - Devon Marlow-Marta Trophy (Toronto Legion) S29 - Continental Cup (Toronto Legion) S31 - Aidan Shaw Trophy S32 - Aidan Shaw Trophy S32 - Scotty Campbell Trophy S32 - Victory Cup (Riga Reign) S32 - Terence Fong Trophy (Riga Reign) S33 - Aidan Shaw Trophy S33 - Devon Marlow-Marta Trophy (New York Americans) Season 26 Statistics (VHLM): Regular Season: S26 (BRM) - 6 GP / 4 W / 2 L / 2 OTL / 0 SO / .858 SV% / 4.50 GAA Playoffs: S26 (BRM) - 14 GP / 8 W / 5 L / 1 OTL / 0 SO / .883 SV% / 3.50 GAA Claimed by the Brampton Blades off waivers, the young Alexander Labatte supplanted Andrew Holly Hall as the team's starting goaltender. While Hall did not perform terribly in his limited playing time with the team, Labatte proved to be an upgrade as they headed into the playoffs. In the semifinals, Brampton faced off against the Calgary Wolfpack, surviving a seven game series to face the regular season champion Vasteras. Although the Iron Eagles were favored to win, Brampton, helped along by Alexander Labatte, would come out on top to hoist the Founder's Cup, the first of many awards earned by the future hall of famer. Season 27 Statistics (VHLM): Regular Season: S27 (SSK) - 72 GP / 56 W / 13 L / 3 OTL / 3 SO / .904 SV% / 2.68 GAA Playoffs: S27 (SSK) - 12 GP / 5 W / 3 L / 4 OTL / 0 SO / .897 SV% / 3.18 GAA Following his first season in the VHLM, the Wild promptly selected Labatte with the first overall pick in the dispersal draft. This move would pay off as the Wild finished with the second best record in the league, just one win shy of the league-leading Iron Eagles. Alexander Labatte's talent was on clear display this season as he was one of the league's top goaltenders. The playoffs would prove to be more difficult, though, as Saskatoon barely escaped the Ice Dogs in the first round before being embarrassed in the finals by Vasteras, who quickly disposed of them in five games. Season 28 Statistics: Regular Season: S28 (TOR) - 67 GP / 27 W / 30 L / 7 OTL / 9 SO / .921 SV% / 2.60 GAA Selected second overall in the VHL Entry Draft by the Legion, Labatte immediately began to prove his worth. While the Legion did not have much in the way of supporting players, Alexander Labatte took this opportunity to improve and excel. Despite facing a barrage of shots each game, he finished with one of the best save percentages in the league while giving the Toronto Legion hope for the future. For the first time in his career in the VHL and VHLM, Labatte's team would miss the playoffs but it would not be a total disappointment as he was awarded the Christian Stolzschweiger Award as the league's top rookie. Season 29 Statistics: Regular Season: S29 (TOR) - 64 GP / 46 W / 11 L / 7 OTL / 12 SO / .922 SV% / 1.92 GAA Playoffs: S29 (TOR) - 12 GP / 8 W / 3 L / 1 OTL / 0 SO / .911 SV% / 2.42 GAA With a significantly stronger team in front of him, Alexander Labatte once again put together an impressive season for the Legion. He improved his save percentage while only CAL G, a future hall of famer, put up a lower goals against average. This performance enabled Toronto to win the Victory Cup as the owners of the best regular season record, a display of the team's dominance that extended into the playoffs. After defeating the New York Americans in six exciting games, they would compete against the Dynamo for the ultimate prize. With strong play by Labatte and the rest of the Legion squad, they were able to hoist the Continental Cup after six hard-fought games. Season 30 Statistics: Regular Season: S30 (TOR) - 64 GP / 38 W / 19 L / 7 OTL / 7 SO / .906 SV% / 2.08 GAA Unfortunately, the Toronto Legion were unable to avoid the dreaded Continental Cup hangover. Despite excitement and a solid core many believed could bring the team a second cup in as many years, they were unable to make the playoffs in an extreme close North American Conference race, which saw all four teams win between 42 and 46 games. Labatte's play was also not quite up to snuff and this season will be remembered as quite possibly the worst of his career. Season 31 Statistics: Regular Season: S31 (RIG) - 64 GP / 45 W / 14 L / 5 OTL / 5 SO / .930 SV% / 1.85 GAA Playoffs: S31 (RIG) - 11 GP / 6 W / 3 L / 2 OTL / 2 SO / .936 SV% / 1.64 GAA After a rough Season 30, Alexander Labatte left Toronto for Riga. If he was looking to regain his form through a change of scenery, he certainly accomplished this with the Reign. Finishing the regular season with the league's top save percentage and number two goals against average, Alexander Labatte not only helped the Reign to earn a playoff spot in the newly expanded VHL but was able to capture the Aidan Shaw Trophy as the league's top goaltender. His excellent play continued into the playoffs where Labatte managed to further elevate his game as the Reign easily disposed of the Helsinki Titans in the first round. But in the European Conference Finals, the first place Dynamo proved to be too much to handle as they defeated Riga in six games en route to a Continental Cup championship. Season 32 Statistics: Regular Season: S32 (RIG) - 64 GP / 49 W / 9 L / 6 OTL / 8 SO / .935 SV% / 1.64 GAA Playoffs: S32 (RIG) - 11 GP / 7 W / 4 L / 0 OTL / 0 SO / .918 SV% / 2.61 GAA As if his previous season's performance wasn't enough, Alexander Labatte turned in a dominating season that will be long remembered as one of the greatest regular season performances by a goaltender in the league's history. He not only helped the Reign to the VHL's top regular season record but his save percentage and goals against average both lead all goaltenders. As a result of his incredible performance, Labatte won his second straight Aidan Shaw Trophy and managed to become just the fifth goaltender ever to win the Scotty Campbell Trophy as the league's most valuable player. After earning a first round bye in the playoffs, they would once again face the Helsinki Titans and would once again exert utter domination over their opponents in a four game sweep. The Continental Cup Finals appeared to be going Riga's way as they opened up with a 3-1 lead but in an incredible turn of events, the New York Americans won three straight to claim the Continental Cup, a major disappointment in what otherwise was an extraordinarily successful season for Labatte. Season 33 Statistics: Regular Season: S33 (NYA) - 64 GP / 47 W / 11 L / 6 OTL / 9 SO / .931 SV% / 1.73 GAA Playoffs: S33 (NYA) - 13 GP / 6 W / 5 L / 2 OTL / 0 SO / .927 SV% / 2.53 GAA After the disappointing Season 32, Labatte and Riga cut ties as he headed to his third VHL team in his career. As if the league was too easy for him, Alexander Labatte once again led the league in save percentage and goals against average while helping the Americans to the North American Conference's top record. This performance called for Labatte's third straight Aidan Shaw Trophy, a feat only ever matched by the trophy's namesake from Season 20 to 22. After a first round bye in the playoffs, the Americans battled a hungry team in the Calgary Wranglers. Despite winning the first game, Calgary won the next three, leaving New York in a familiar place down 3-1 in a series. But after pulling together three straight wins, the Americans were headed to a rematch of the previous season's finals as the Reign came out on top of the European Conference. Unfortunately for Labatte and the Americans, Riga was out for revenge and won the series in six games, leaving Labatte of the losing end in two consecutive seasons. Season 34 Statistics: Regular Season: S34 (NYA) - 64 GP / 39 W / 21 L / 4 OTL / 6 SO / .919 SV% / 2.18 GAA Playoffs: S34 (NYA) - 7 GP / 3 W / 2 L / 2 OTL / 0 SO / .915 SV% / 2.69 GAA Playing for a weakened Americans team and feeling the effects of age, Alexander Labatte was unable to put up the kind of season the league had grown accustomed to. His statistics only ranked him in the middle of the pack among goaltenders throughout the league as the Americans managed to earn the third and final playoff position out of the North American Conference by two points over the Legion. Unfortunately, the playoffs would not bring the team much success as the Calgary Wranglers disposed of them in seven games, controlling the series the whole way. Season 35 Statistics: Regular Season: S35 (CAL) - 64 GP / 44 W / 15 L / 5 OTL / 13 SO / .922 SV% / 2.10 GAA Playoffs: S35 (CAL) - 14 GP / 7 W / 7 L / 0 OTL / 2 SO / .933 SV% / 2.25 GAA In Labatte's final season, he headed to Calgary for a final shot at the Continental Cup. With a stronger team, his numbers improved as he managed to set a career high with thirteen shutouts, which also led the league. Although the Wranglers put together a tremendous season, the Meute barely edged them out for a first round playoff bye, pitting Calgary against the Toronto Legion. The Legion came out strong, winning three of the first four games before Labatte and the Wranglers figured it out and managed to win the series in dramatic fashion. The next opponent would be even more difficult as they were pitted up against the Meute, a team which owned the best regular season record in Season 35. Although the series went a full seven games, the Wranglers were never truly able to control the series as the Meute went on to capture the Continental Cup. Career Totals: Regular Season: 515 GP / 335 W / 130 L / 50 OTL / 69 SO / .924 SV% / 2.03 GAA Playoffs: 69 GP / 37 W / 24 L / 8 OTL / 4 SO / .924 SV% / 2.43 GAA At the end of the day, Alexander Labatte can be widely considered one of the greatest goaltenders the VHL has ever seen. His three Aidan Shaw Trophies are beaten only by none other than Aidan Shaw while Labatte's three consecutive Shaw Trophies very well could represent the most dominant three-season stretch in league history. Labatte not only performed at a high level in the regular season but also was a big-time playoff tender, continually playing remarkably well despite managing just one Continental Cup over the course of his career. While his playing days were largely spent sharing the spotlight with CAL G, there is no question that Alexander Labatte is one of the best players to ever step foot on the ice in the VHL.
  21. haha ok was a bit confused and didn't want to do work that didn't need to be done It will definitely be done by tonight at the latest.
