    since you apparently prefer to have conversations in public forums instead of DMs, i'll be happy to attend the discussion.

     

    swearing is not against the code of conduct, and context is important. i know that it's much more convenient for your argument to just look at the words out of context and try to make an argument, but unfortunately for you, mod team considers more factors than just the individual words.

     

    you explained yourself in your OP why your first post today was hidden. considering context, i fail to see the disconnect? you keenly point to section 1.3, which explicitly prohibits sexual context, and then you seem to question why your sexual content has been removed. what's not clicking? i'd love to bridge the gap so that we can avoid situations like this in the future.

     

    truthfully, the worst part of your hidden post was the explicit targeting of another member. that kind of content is not fun, interesting, or acceptable, and all of that is said without even stating judgment about the reason for which you were upset. that's not a matter of moderation, though; that's a matter of personal preference, so i'll let it go for the sake of this post.

     

    i told you that we could make your post public again if you removed the paragraphs you referenced, and you chose to write an entirely new media spot. that was your decision to make and honestly way more work than just adjusting the post you already had.

     

    i feel that mod team has given you an abundance of warnings at this point about the fact that we will not accept the kind of content you've been previously notified about. moving forward, we can certainly move forward with responses beyond a warning if the warnings aren't effective.

    Hey drafons,

     

    During my brief time in the EFL, I played for the lovely @TacticalHammer (do you still check VHL? maybe you'll get an email. anyway, hey :)) on the DEATH VALLEY RANGERS, BEST ECFA TEAM. Though I decided that the EFL wasn't for me, I did walk away really inspired by Tac's seasonal donation based on team stats, so I've decided to mimic it with DC.

     

    Truthfully, I've chosen a terrible time to begin this endeavor because stats for the upcoming season are greatly unpredictable. Nonetheless, I'm going to try, learn, and apply the knowledge for following seasons. This season, here's how I'll determine the amount donated (all $ amounts are in USD):

     

    for our defenders: $0.01 for each hit, $0.01 for each shot block

    for our forwards: $0.02 for each goal

     

    minimum donation will be $15, maximum will be $30

     

    The skater on our roster with most shots gets to choose where the donation goes. (I changed this from lowest PIM because I don't want an inactive to be chosen 😬) I haven't decided whether we'll include playoff stats if we make it. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

     

    We'll see how this goes!

    The 4 proposed are fine with me. I'm not anti-E specific task, but I don't really see a need for it when the PSR would be available while you're in the E.

When you join, you just want to win, regardless of the intention of the league you're playing in.     I see that we're wanting to do 6 tpe, 500 word requirement which is ,,, fine. I don't love it, but if we're taking tasks away and not offering new ones, we have to choose between increasing tpe + word count or just removing tpe opportunities all together.

     

    What are we thinking for time periods during which the tasks can be completed? PSR is labeled, in the above. What about the other 3? Rookie experience during your first season playing up in the VHL?

    It's written in the style of a journal by the main character which I think makes it really interesting since the style of writing gives you insight into both the character and the setting. So without giving away too much, the mystery ends up unraveling in a really intriguing way because of that. I think it's a really interesting approach to fantasy. The pacing also really felt good to me, personally - though I've seen some reviews say otherwise and (again, without giving away too much) I guess I could see why.

    cool, i'll grab it on my next library run. i was surprised to see that it was less than 250 pages... i'm interested to see how the author does it
