  1. I need to remember to do trivia more. I don’t need the capped weekly stuff really (though it couldn’t hurt) but I always forget about the uncapped stuff at the end.
  2. I’ll take 6. It’s not amazing but it’s a lot better than I thought I did. Yet more uncapped stuff @street is managing to beat me in though haha. I may be able to hit that cap more often but that man’s uncapped potential is crazy.
  3. Thompson goes 1st Cast goes 4th, both play in Seattle. Now that would be something haha.
  4. Cornerstone is retired.

  7. Very minor announcement going into Season 61. Training Camps will no longer be done for players the way they always have been. Instead of skaters being forced to use certain attributes that are chosen by their GM's, they will receive the same +10 TPE (for anything) that goalies have always received. Training Camps still need to be posted in to make the claim in order to keep everyone honest but players may use their points on whatever they want. If any training camps have been posted / claimed already they can be adjusted for this new rule.
  8. Was wondering why I wasn’t doing anything. I assume @Banackock never sent lines in?
  9. Pyramid schemes ?
  10. Note my edit, I added a lot.
  11. That’s what people said last time. Honestly yes, P2 was optional but basically everyone took up that option and we lost a lot of long time members because of it. It may be easy to say that they shouldn’t have put that much work into something that was optional but they did and they always will because that’s how VHL members are. Even with an easier workload with something like this I would foresee it happening again. P2 was not a good idea for the league, period. It didn’t really result in drastically fuller rosters like it promised so we didn’t get the benefit and we lost members because of the burnout. That’s a net loss IMO. I think our efforts would be better served focussing our attention on recruiting and retention rather than trying to find the easy way out and just splitting the members we have into more players when we have already proven that doesn’t work.
  12. I knew I was doing well in this but damn, never expected to win it.
  13. I said it then and I'll say it now. Holik > Dadonov :PI rod recall having an entertaining VHLM rivalry though. Shame it didn't continue into the VHL.
  14. I am officially 1 TPE back from @street right now for the draft lead; chances are things will stay this way I imagine. Has any draft ever been quite this tight in the TPE race?

If I'm right @Beketov, you also have 2 TPE that you haven't added from the S59 Award Predictions yet right?

Do I? Thought I added those but maybe I need to check things over.

I think it basically comes down to if Bana wants to create a defenseman GM player or forward....or just make a goalie to solidify that position and pick his favourite of you or Street. He does has 4th overall as well so a lot of team building from this draft. I think #3 is definitely Victor at this point.

  15. It has been 60 seasons since the faithful summer day when Robert Sharpe was drafted first overall in the very first VHL draft. In those 60 seasons 8 other players have come through the Beketov Agency and none of them have been drafted first again. Perhaps it's a curse leftover from Sharpe's failures. Perhaps it's simply GM worries or better draft choices. Perhaps it's simply and luck. No one is certain but Matt Thompson is looking to potentially break that trend. The winger wears number 10 as a tribute to his agency, being that he is the 10th player to come out of it. He hopes to pay tribute once more the the players that have come before him by once again ascending the summit of being first overall in the VHL. The only question now remains, can he do it? Thompson has been in talks with Seattle's head office and all parties agree that he would be a good fit with the team but competition is stiff in the Season 61 draft. Thompson may be a good fit with the Bears but that doesn't mean Samuel Gate or perhaps Podrick Cast wouldn't be. Seattle Management has expressed concerns over Thompson's interest in chasing a cup; something the last two Beketov agency players never managed to achieve. While true that Thompson wants a cup, he also wants to emphasize that he doesn't expect to get it in his first season. "At the end of the day I do want a Continental Cup but that doesn't mean I expect immediate success or I would never re-sign with a team. I just don't want to get stuck in an endless rebuild, does that make sense? I don't have the 14 seasons Ovechkin took to get his Stanley Cup, things don't work that way here. I'm willing to stick with a team but I also want to have success. I don't think that's unreasonable." Ultimately the tough decision comes down to the Bears in who they decide they want to help lead them into the future. No options are particularly bad choices this time around so it's just a matter of sitting back and waiting to see who's name shows up on that draft board first.

  17. Nothing too fancy, just some good carbs and protein. Usually some pasta, often linguine specifically, and chicken. Maybe some broccoli, peppers or mushrooms thrown in as well. Really anything veggie wise that's in the fridge. I don't think it's anything major really, most players probably do this, but the left skate has to go on first. No real reason, just has to. Also there needs to be an even number of revolutions of tape put onto my stick top and an odd number on the blade. Definitely want a cup. The Beketov agency has been without one for over 12 seasons now (not sure the exact amount) and I'm looking to end that drought. Any personal awards or perhaps a HoF ballot after that would be great but ultimately I want the Continental cup first and foremost. First off, I'm a Sony pony so get out of here with that Microsoft crap Generally I'm a CoD player first and foremost so that's always going to be my primary. The portal series is always great to run through as well, just good jokes. After that probably the Uncharted Series. Just great stories in there. Pizza, call me a fat ass but I don't care, I'll eat that shit everyday. After that probably a nice medium-rare steak; which Ill be having for dinner tonight actually. Third would depend how I'm feeling on a given night but be split between a nice juicy burger or any kind of Thai dish; usually Cashew chicken. Maybe some day but personally I don't think so right now. Player two was introduced wrong from the start in my opinion and it did far more damage to the league than it did actual good for it. It would definitely need far stricter guidelines but I'm not sure what those would be that would encourage the player growth while also not burning out our members. Ultimately I just don't think it's a system that works amazingly well here.
  18. I'm hoping to soon but have been very busy. @Will you got any free time?

  20. But he’s also doubling his chances at another player. I’m gonna say no. No this traditionally. Pick everyone once.
  21. That too
  22. Brackets are based on TPA now, depreciation needs to be early. Last season was the same way. If people get depreciated first and then buy something @Will can make the necessary adjustments as he has the last few seasons.
  23. That answers that then, good to know he’s not dead I suppose.
  24. @Will with the huge update to join the ever growing 200 TPE club of the S61 draft. If he lot of us can stay active there’s likely to be a very tough HoF ballot come S70.

    1. Beaviss

      Beaviss

That completely changes the draft.... I had Arvid going before him thought will might pull another Ho Lee Fook.

Good thing I didn’t do my mock draft yet!

  25. If the Golden Knights can make the Stanley Cup final with a team of misfits there’s no reason we can’t medal!
