This Mini Rambles is arriving a little late, but we do it in style. HC Davos Dynamo has finally broken our Cup drought of 27 seasons! Snapping the third longest in VHL history. Damn, am I proud to be part of the group that did it! It was a long time coming after so many seasons of heartbreak, and we finally made it back to the Cup Final against Calgary only to fall to them, and then being eliminated by London in the Conference Final the season afterwards.

But finally, Simon decided that enough was enough and graciously allowed us to lift the coveted Continental Cup! Ahma’s reaction was definitely the highlight of it all. He personifies Davos as a club and if anybody deserved this title, it was him! Also congratulations to Thunder for securing the Kanou. He has been an absolute workhorse ever since being drafted to Davos, and brought his all to help generate offense in every series to get us to the Cup! Both certified Davos legends. Of course, I can’t forget to mention our amazing GM Alex who always formulates the right trades and signings to make our roster the strongest it can be with every season.

To add onto this, Lachlan became an absolute Petan and held down the fort for Davos against Vancouver for four straight wins after unfortunately dropping the first two games with average numbers.

    Game 1: .911 SV%, 4.00 GAA, 41/45

    Game 2: .909 SV%, 4.00 GAA, 40/44

    Game 3: .960 SV%, 2.00 GAA, 48/50

    Game 4: .974 SV%, 1.00 GAA, 37/38

    Game 5: .957 SV%, 2.00 GAA. 44/46

    Game 6: .951 SV%, 2.00 GAA, 39/41

Comparing these numbers is like night and day. In the games that we won (Games 3-6), Lachlan didn’t have below a .950 SV% or anything over a 2.00 GAA which was insane. Although these numbers are absolutely spectacular and I couldn’t be happier to have contributed to Davos’ Cup win in such a massive way, I’m not sure if it was my build that produced these stats, Simon’s will, or a mix of both! It was a huge step up for everyone’s favorite Aussie netminder after producing good numbers during the rest of the playoffs, but nothing to write home about.

In conclusion, let’s go DAVID! And let’s bring home another trophy this season!

First off...good LORD do I love the Rin render used for this. She's fucking adorable ❤️

Second...this was a great non-intentional nudge that my "first gen oopsie" re-roll was approved and applied. Went ahead and put in my new build, hopefully that's in time.

made a small update to the card to reflect your new build as of now! ❤️

    Hey Kirby!

    @kirbithan

I'd love a new sig for the new season if you have time.

    Player Name: Joel Castle

Player Render (Faceclaim): Jusse Saros - more for the #74 so if Nashville's yellow is too hard to change for the Legion blue, his Milwaukee Admiral jersey would probably work better.

    Team: Toronto Legion

Graphic Style (OPTIONAL) (any of the styles in the thread below): The watercolor pop looks awesome

Requests: A double blue theme for the team would be great but a maple leaf somewhere would rock and maybe a castle or castle-like brick work. Have fun with it. Try something new!

Thanks! Look forward to what you come up with.

thank you so much for the request, the brickwork was super fun to incorporate into the watercolor! hope you enjoy, animal!!

    1. We are currently up 3-1 against Prague. Could this be the year we break the Davos Cup curse? If you are answering this presser after the series, did we make it back to the Cup Final?!

    2. ProAm signings just opened up! Are you going to participate?

    3. What is one suggestion you would offer to make the offseason more interesting?

    4. Make an acronym for the word ‘DAVOS’!

    5. After this season, we will unfortunately be losing Mason Jones and Alexandre Leduc to retirement. How would you describe these Davos legends in your own words?

    6. Were you shocked that Vladimir Tarasenko decided to sign with Ottawa?

    7. Have you watched Barbie or Oppenheimer yet? Or even planning to see them?

    8. Do you prefer reading physical books or eBooks?

Lachlan Summers was swarmed by reporters, microphones, and cameras after practice as his team, HC Davos Dynamo, headed into the playoffs on a first round bye. They will be facing the Riga Reign, a rivalry that has been heating up over the past few seasons due to many factors: Summers’ friendship with winger Sadie St-Louis as well as the rivalry between defensemen Brian Kowalski and Skor McFleury.

Interviewer: “Davos struggled near the end of the season and missed out on the Victory Cup after a dominant campaign. Has the team reflected on that at all?”

Lachlan: “We’re moving past that now. We’re in the playoffs and the last thing on our minds right now is what happened during the regular season. It was a close race. Didn't play as well as we should've. That’s all I have to say.”

I: “Since you are facing off against the Riga Reign again after besting them just a few seasons prior, are there any tensions between you and your friend Sadie St-Louis?”

L: “I wouldn’t say there’s tension but there’s definitely a rivalry and we drive each other to be our best. Sadie is one of my closest friends and we both know to keep things that happen on the ice, on the ice. No friendships are going to be ruined if that’s your concern. Nothing could tear us apart, especially after that banana attack that supposedly happened nine years ago.”

I: “Mason Jones and Alexandre Leduc are going to be retiring at the end of the season. How much will Davos be missing them?”

L: “A hell of a lot. Two very strong presences both on the ice and on the locker room. I hope they’ll stick around even after this season, maybe take up some coaching spots or something like that. I have really enjoyed playing alongside those two and now we want to win that Continental Cup to send them off properly.”

I: “Thank you for your time, Lachlan. Good luck.”

    L: “Thanks.”

  9. Game 484 Recap Malmo Nighthawks vs. London United (Score 1-5): This game was complete and utter domination by the London United after defeating the Malmo Nighthawks 5-1. On 45 shots to Malmo’s 34, London came roaring back after former United player Ivan Retoslav struck first for Malmo. In which London’s Leonard Triller also buried the puck in the back of the night soon afterwards in response, which began a hailstorm of goals for the English team. They would go on to score four more unanswered goals: from The Board Game Clue on Skates, Igor Molotov, Sock Monkey, and Molly the Cat. Jesse Teno had a solid game with a .971 SV% after allowing London’s only GA in that first period, which earned them the third star of the game along with second star Triller and first star Board Game Clue.
