TPE Max Earners #26-28 | VHLM Illustrated Edition 3 5/15/2022 | Top 10 Forwards

#10 - David Tavau @Ahma :dav:

The captain and top defenseman of Davos, David Tavau continues to be a top defensemen late in his career including career highs in goals, shots, and shots blocked this season. Of note Tavau recorded 28 goals this season, currently 3rd among all defensemen. This was a significant part of Tavau’s second consecutive season recording a point-per-game with 74 points this season. Davos’s future is bright and Tavau’s veteran presence will be a warm site until his retirement in 2 seasons.

#9 - Hari Singh Nalwa @Dil :war:

Part of the Vancouver dynasty, Hari Singh Nalwa found a new home in Warsaw for this season where they played very well. Nalwa recorded 23 goals, and 58 assists for 81 points, leading Warsaw defensemen in scoring. Nalwa also currently has 73 hits and 157 shots blocked, while a step back from last season, it still shows that Nalwa is solid on both sides of the puck.

#8 - Jan Hlozek @Bojovnik :mos:

Jan Hlozek has been one of the most consistent players in the VHL for some time now, recording their 4th straight point-per-game season, and never having less than 50 points and 100 shots blocked in their career. In this past season Hlozek elected to sign with Moscow and immediately stepped in as a top 2 defensemen alongside Hard Markinson, a tandem that is a main reason for their success this season.

#7 - Tom Eagles @Greg_Di :ldn:

The Season 82 Jake Wylde Trophy winner, Tom Eagles had another solid defensive season in their first season not in a Calgary jersey with 205 hits, and 119 shots blocked. Additionally, Eagles showed some great offensive play this season with 30 goals! Eagles also added 61 assists for a total of 91 points, the second highest point total of their career. Retiring after this season, Eagles will look to continue their play in the playoffs and bring the Continental Cup to London.

#6 - Bo Johansson @Shindigs :chi:

Our first and only rookie on the list, Bo Johansson came into the VHL and made a statement, recording 10 goals and 71 assists for a total of 81 points this season. Johansson was also solid defensively with 87 hits and 170 shots blocked. At this point we can safely say that Johansson will likely take home the honor of being the VHL’s top rookie of season 83.

#5 - Rolf Fizzlebeef Jr. @TacticalHammer :ldn:

Our second London defensemen on the list, could find their way into the running for a couple of awards come the end of the playoffs as their play on both sides of the puck has been solid. With 81 points, 211 hits, and 187 shots blocked Fizzlebeef is a prime candidate for the Jake Wylde Trophy as the top defensive defensemen. The tandem of Eagles and Fizzlebeef has done wonders for London and with any luck they’ll be a main reason for London’s success going forward this season.

#4 - Hard Markinson @STZ :mos:

A perennial award nominee, Hard Markinson took a small step back this season with only 92 points and 17 goals. With that being said those totals are still high for a defenseman in the post attribute change era. Markinson also continued to be solid defensively with 107 shots blocked and 237 hits. MArkinson is and will be one of the main reasons for Moscow’s success for the past several seasons and until their retirement.

#3 - Jerome Reinhart @MexicanCow123 :nya:

Following a last-minute position change, Reinhart has been a bright spot for New York this season and currently leads all defensemen in goals with 35 and is 3rd in points with 102. Reinhart has also set career highs in penalty minutes and shots blocked with 88 and 241 respectively. Reinhart will possibly be traded this offseason and only time will tell if they will return to their cup winning ways.

#2 - Aurlien Moreau @Frank :tor:

Aurlien Moreau will likely win a few awards this season as they currently lead the league in assists and lead defensemen in points by a considerable margin with 92 assists and 112 points respectively. On the defensive side of the puck Moreau has been good with an even 100 hits and 136 shots blocked. Moreau will likely continue this play in the playoffs in a first-round match-up against the surprise team of the season, the Calgary Wranglers.

#1 - Battre Sandstrom @Acydburn :rig:

Battre Sandstrom has been incredible this season and will more than likely win the Sterling Labatte Trophy this season as the top defenseman in the VHL as they have been incredible on both sides of the puck with 28 goals, 104 points, 254 hits, and 128 shots blocked. Sandstrom retires after this season and has certainly made their bid for the Hall Of Fame, the only thing missing is a Continental Cup.

On the Bubble: Hulk Hogan 2 @Hogan, Erlantz Jokinen @jRuutu, Tui Sova @v.2, Asher Reinhart @rjfryman, and Poopy Peepants @JardyB10
