Daisuke Kanou Trophy
VHL Playoff MVP

Nominees:

:dav: W Owen Lazaro @traphag -

18 GP | 12 G | 14 A | 26 P | +5

:que: W Riley Martin @Smarch -
17 GP | 8 G | 16 A | 24 P | +6

:que: W Logan Ninefingers @Scurvy -

:dav: G Merome Dilson @MexicanCow123 -
18 GP | 10-7-1 | 0.934 SV% | 2.38 GAA | 2 SO

Ultimately, the Wolves of Vancouver were howling all the way until they raised the Victory Cup. Their key players were Martin and Ninefingers up front. Both with very similar performances popping off in the finals. Lets not forget the team that didn't win it all. Davos had former Wolf Owen Lazaro tearing it up with fellow pending retiree, Merome DIlson.

Scotty Campbell Trophy
VHL Most Valuable Player

Nominees:

:rig: C Severus Targaryen @Banackock -

56 G | 57 A | 113 P | +39 | 13 GWG

:dav: G Merome Dilson @MexicanCow123 -
53 GP | 36-15-2 | .928 SV% | 2.23 GAA | 2 SO

:chi: C Spanish Moon Moth @Renomitsu -
41 G | 74 A | 115 P | +39 | 5 GWG

:nya: G 170Ws @rory -
64 GP | 37-23-4 | .929 SV% | 2.47 GAA | 6 SO

Now for the creme de la creme. The Scotty Campbell Trophy is the most sought award for any player at any position in the VHL. Targaryen and Moon Moth both had incredibly strong offensive campaigns. Severus, however, does offer more defensive upside with the Boulet win from earlier on. In defense of Moon Moth's case, it could be argued that Chicago had less surrounding talent to support Moon Moth's run. Dilson played great but didn't play the maximum number of games he could. Maybe this sways voters away despite the great numbers and team success behind a very good defense. 170Ws might not have the most glamorous record but he also faced more shots against in S96 than any other playoff goalie. Despite that, he kept his GAA below a 2.50, super impressive.

Brett Slobodzian Trophy
VHL Most Outstanding Player

:mal: Jacob Stone :mal:

You all had the opportunity to vote on the outcome of this award and thank you to everyone who made their voice heard. The members of the VHLPA proudly chose Jacob "the old man" Stone as their most outstanding performance for the season. Your league mates are bidding you a happy farewell into the sunset Stone. A four award season for Stone wraps up a very good career rather nicely. A team leader for a long time and a great locker room presence, I personally couldn't be happier to see someone I personally got to enjoy S96 with go home with the hardware. Jorgen also told me to ask you, "Who will block the clap bombs now?"
