Members of Bat-Family and some other members of Gotham are still capable of jailing, on top of the fact that there is a vote to jail. Those with Discord access (Including Commissioner Gordon for example) still see the jail discord as normal so they'll still be able to get info. The only real downside to it as that Gotham can't release people manually from jail any longer, and has to trust the info they have. 

It wouldn't be Gotham without a little chaos now would it? There is a lot to decipher from last night activity so let's get right to it. 

Let's get started on the Vote to Expose Batmans Identity. The tally's for last nights vote are as follows: 

8/11 People voted Meaning 4 votes are needed for 50%. 

3 for Jericho
2 for Zack
1 for NSG
1 for Pytrell 
1 for MMFlex
 

There is not enough votes for 50%, Batmans identity is still a mystery and Mob cannot attempt to expose Batman again until Day 4. 

NSG was sent to jail last night. It really matters...I promise....(sarcasm) 

The Lazarus Pit was activated last night. @Doomsday Commissioner James Gordon has been brought back to life and has returned to the game. His Bat-Signal ability will be active again provided he is alive at the start of the Day 4!

Oh and...lastly....we sadly have another causality to report on. @Jericho has been shot in cold blood, a coin with two heads on it was found on top of his dead body. Jericho's role was....Blackgate Jailor! 

That means we have ourselves a good old fashioned JAILBREAK everyone. All members who were jailed (Molholt, Ben and NSG) are hereby released back into the wild. I believe that concludes what Gotham learns in public from last nights action. If you were dealt death attacks last night and still have Armor Stacks remaining I would of noted it to you privately, just want to make sure people get how that works. As Villains and Heroes by default survive one of those. 

DAY 3 HAS BEGUN!

We have 13 living players still in the game, which means we need 7 to vote to jail again tonight. Good luck, and uh...yeah good luck Gotham haha! 

 

Closing up the Day Phase. Just to confirm yes there are multiple roles that get access to the Jail Discord, that means they are in there and can chat as they see fit. Given that no roles are revealed from a jail, the idea is that your getting information from knowing which members have access and in case anyone wants to communicate using the Jail Discord info would come out that way.

One thing I'm absolutely noticing that is taking people time to get used to, how and what to be cautious with when it comes to both information, and your roles. Feel free to play as you see fit but I feel it's important to remind folks Gotham has no killing roles. They can't remove you from the game. They can jail you yes, but there are many ways to get in and out of jail and abilities that work in jail, or ways you can assist even if you are exposed and in jail. 

The meta of Salem normally has you in such guard from ever revealing and when you do your usually biffed for it, but here information is the name of the game, and since there are lots of non-mob roles that still count as Villains, and that doesn't even get us into the Ra's of it all. Aka a player that one hundred percent needs the game to go to Day Six in order for him to have a chance at winning the game. Devise 3 paragraphs of day close on game talk is over now so let's get to it. 


Another day phase in Gotham and this time the citizens of this cursed city have finally been able to find some consensus. Despite the fact that we hear rumblings that the Mob thinks they can expose the infamous vigilante known as "The Batman" Gotham has rose together as they feel a member deserved to be thrown in Blackgate Prison.

Our vote to jail total is as follows: 
Ben: 7 (mmflex, Jericho, Rory, Jhatty8, Zack, Spartan, Ricer13)
Ricer: 1 (eagles)

7 is enough and Ben is thrown in jail! Any night actions that Ben would of been able to do and most actions that could of happened to him during this night phase are obviously nullified as he joins Molholt in the dingy cellars of Blackgate. See you at 1PM ET for whatever occurs tonight, remember to get your actions in, stay sane Gotham!

Just a follow up should of included it in the OP, but disrupted players are the only non-bat family players that cannot vote in this, similar to how they cannot vote during the game thread while disrupted. Thanks. 

We have a big important update that is worthy of both me tagging everyone and DMing everyone. 

The Mob is attempting to expose Batman's identity!

Once per day during any day phase (after Day 1) a member of the Mob may choose to privately call an anonymous vote to expose who Batman is.  That night all living members of every non-bat family faction anonymously vote, (to me in the Discord) if they correctly guess who Batman is with the winning result having 50% or more then you become exposed and reduced to Bruce Wayne. Abstains or people who do not vote before the end of the following night phase reduces the overall number needed to reach 50% majority. You cannot vote for yourself. If they do not guess correctly or the winning vote does not have 50% or more, then the Mob cannot vote to expose who Batman is until the "next" day phase. (Cooldown for a day)

So in this instance, if Batman is not exposed today the Mob will not be able to do this ability again until Day 4. I'll be DMing everyone on the Discord shortly to get your votes.

Disrupted: A disrupted player is incapable of using any special actions during the day phase. This includes any ability that requires you to choose a target during the day phase. Further, the player cannot vote to jail someone in the public forum during the day phase, but can post in the public forum and their respective Discord chat.

Yep. Both dead and jailed players do not count towards the voting total as well so with 14 living non jailed players today, 7 votes are needed to jail someone.

Also since I'm nice and because @Ptyrell was already smart enough to link this together, given we have a balance sheet of roles you can pretty much already start working on your own role lists the moment the game gets started. 

Here is what it looks like at the start of the game with 17 players. (Not including the roles we have since revealed.)

I'll also state that it's important to remember what you tried to do, and what did or didn't happen. Read the role list, if you tried to do something and couldn't chances are only a select few roles could of prevented that. The language on that will generally be specific enough that your meant to be digging for information that way. Anyway I've rambled on enough here carry on!

For balance reasons all ToG games will include the following roles:

Per Deadshots ability - Once per game at night choose a target. At the start of the next day phase you assassinate that target. (This isn't an attack.) 

Normally Deadshot would need to you know, figure out the identity of his targets and save his once per game for that as it's pretty OP. He just happened to get a target who gained something from exposing himself. That isn't to say there couldn't of been any protection that could save him, but mostly something that negates or a GCPD Sniper potentially. Deadshots targets are randomized at the start of the game though and aren't just good guys. Just a great luck of the draw for Berocka on that one, and already throws a wheel of chaos into things for Gotham. 

Night 1 is over!

A quiet night in Gotham? Never. We have some actions to report on. 

@Advantage has been killed by a death attack! His role was...

@Doomsday our confirmed Commissioner Gordon has been ASSASSINATED! @Berocka packs up his things and collects his money, he has slain one of his targets and gets a win this game. Berocka leaves the game....he was Deadshot! His two targets were Mr. Freeze and Commissioner Gordon.  *(Note for dead players, the you have been added to the Graveyard. Remember that Ra's Al Ghul has 3 players he can bring back to life as it is his win condition. Feel free to post as you like to Ra's and try to get yourself back in the game.) 

@Molholt has been sent to jail! You do not learn the role of someone who is sent to jail. All living players with access to the Jail Discord can now join Molholt in Jail though and communicate as they see fit. 

That concludes that the public gathers from last nights events. Gordon is dead and with him the hope of a Bat-Signal gleaming in the sky is also gone. Gotham sits in fear, wondering what is yet to come.

Just waiting on a follow up from one player then everyone has confirmed what chaos will ensue from last night so I'm giving some leeway here. Player won't have all day though, if I don't hear back in a bit I'll start the day phase.

Exactly this. I wouldn't call you a mediocre GM at all @Peace as you inherited a team with basically nothing for picks or players and were then thrown into a plethora of huge league changes, expansions, and the like. Inside all that turmoil you still built a team that members were proud to be a part of near the end, that I feel like is a worthy accomplishment. Nothing wrong with stepping down when your feeling it's time though, sorry I only just got this. You've always been a stand up member in my book bud.  

The first day phase has ended, everyone with Day choices I believe has already put in their actions but if you have a night action (some have both a day and a night so confirm) feel free to get those in now as we are in the first night phase. May god have mercy on all of Gotham, although who knows we'll have to find out how chaotic this is going to be after I wake up from my sort of slumber. I'll be sticking with the same time (1 PM ET) for opening this up so ignore the fact that I closed this half hour late.

So, just so everyone is aware this works exactly like the Mayor in Town of Salem. Meaning a Gordon confirmation will be confirmed by the person running the game. I will in fact be confirming this role reveal. Just a FYI in case ya'll forget, this also means starting tomorrow Commissioner Gordons vote counts for 3 to jail.

One more final heads up. All players are confirmed and we are just waiting on one to hop into the Discord otherwise. I'm going to tentatively set the end of the First Day Phase to 1 AM ET (So about 5 hours from now.) I'll leave the night phase open for 12 hours, just to let everyone get a second to get stuff in, so expect tomorrows Day Phase to start at 1 PM ET. I don't know if I'll be sticking entirely to that schedule throughout but for the first day it seems fair enough. 

Just some quick clarification as I've had a few people ask me about this/not realize that is how it was worded. Despite the fact that town can't vote to jail someone on Day 1, ANY ability that reads "during the day choose" can be used, and has to be used during the day phase. To do so just DM your action and then I'll lock it into play. Also if you do have questions, probably better to DM them to me to avoid you know potentially revealing crucial information. That is all.

It's a quiet day in Gotham as it's citizens are milling about, enjoying a little bit of peace and serenity. For they know, it cannot last. Everyone knows that Gotham is home to some of the most vile, the most corrupted and twisted personalities. This is especially true at night, where Gothams Most Wanted regularly treat the city as their own personal playground. For the citizens of Gotham they put their hope in vigilantes, symbols of hope, and the few that dare stand against the chaos. With super villains plotting, can you Gotham and it's citizens survive? Town of Gotham...begins!

*Notes: As is the case with Town of Salem, Gotham cannot vote to jail anybody on the first day. However any roles listed abilities that state "Choose during the day" may be used. As is the case with any specific role ability, to use stuff like that you just need to DM me on Discord your intended action. Night actions occur on the first night as well, so enjoy the little bit of peace that is going to come from the first spell of day phase here. I'm going to leave this Day Phase a little longer just to make sure everyone has time to get in on the Discord, see what their roles are and figure out what in the blue hell is even going/they want to do.
