CoachReilly got a reaction from Phil in Salah Declares for S57 VHL Draft (1/2)
Sadio Salah Declares for the S57 Draft
MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA – Eighteen-year-old local hockey player has officially put his name into the S57 VHL Draft. The window for declaring for this draft just opened with the S55 trade deadline commencing this past week, and the timing of the declaration puts him in a great spot to jump up draft boards in the coming months. Salah had been deciding whether or not he would go to the OHL, attend college on a full-ride hockey scholarship in the United States, or declare for the internationally-based Victory Hockey League, a ten-team league with teams based in North America and Europe.
The local kid’s skillset has excited scouts, with many projections having him going in the first round of the draft with high first round upside. His speed and drive to the net are what separate him from his fellow draftees. His hockey sense is still developing and he is considered somewhat of a project. He is considered to be the fastest player in the draft class at this point, and the second best forward behind Chase Keller.
Salah is expected to be one of the first ever players with Senegalese ethnicity to play professional hockey. His parents moved to the United States and wound up based in Minnesota, both as registered nurses.
Salah decided to sign with Reilly & Partners, LLC to represent him in the upcoming draft.
“We feel the Victory Hockey League is what will provide Sadio and his family the best opportunities down the road,” Jack Reilly said in an official press release, “He and his family are very comfortable with committing to the lifestyle required to generating a positive career in professional hockey, and he looks forward to becoming a role model for all young hockey players moving forward. We could not be more excited to bring on a player and person of his caliber.”
The next step for the promising, young player will involve an assignment to one of five VHL Minor League teams (Yukon, Oslo, Ottawa, Saskatoon, or Las Vegas). None of these teams have made a claim on Salah at this point, but it should be only a matter of time before he is packing up a couple of bags and heading to a new city to embark on his journey to professional hockey.
“I could not be more excited to get going,” Salah said, being interviewed by a local TV station, “I look forward to proving myself and generating a positive impact wherever I end up. My parents have been very supportive of me in pushing me along in my hockey career. Although knowing nothing about hockey when they moved to this great country, they were able to sacrifice a lot of time, money, and effort to get me where I am right now. It is my turn to repay the many favors.”

CoachReilly reacted to Gooningitup in RW - Sadio Salah
What? I took a team with a goalie in regression, argueably the most hated member in all the league as my only prospect. A semi active who died off after 2 seasons. To 7 games with the Legion almost denying history in just 2 seasons.. 5 outta 6 seasons made the playoffs, positive win lose ratio and a GM of the year award. All this with a shit hand, i drafted the goalie whose helped turn Davos around. Also by stepping down when i did instead of waiting till Pavel retired. Left the GM after me with a much better hand than i was dealt to start.
Did i make some questionable moves? Sure i did, it was my first time. I also had internal pressure due to said member. But i regret nothing Davos had its most successful run, in years. And now Smarch has done a fantastic job building them into a legit threat

omg THIS! People always hating on me because I'm multi-facetedly amazing and I like to make up words.
And FWIW, the legend that is @CoachReilly actually requested the creation of the other legend that is SSK Nick Cannon, which I happily obliged because of our common passion for Wildin' Out!

Chelsea haven't had a great history of managers (I'm not going Ted Drake because of his playing career being primarily Arsenal, I'm not going Di Matteo because he wasn't very long for the job, and I'm not going Mou because Mou).
Players though! Jason Hasselbaink. Jason Zola. Jason Desailly. Jason Gudjohnsen. Jason Ballack. Jason Lampard. Jason Drogba. (Di Matteo fits better here than he did the first category)
(Coach is for Pool, but he'd likely appreciate the nod to his past I'd accidentally give if I attached my name to Chelsea's current longest serving player... especially if the player's middle name was Eugene)
