The VHLE is a new minor league more centered around competition, for players with 201 to 400 TPE. The VHLM is now the developmental league it was always meant to be, with the new max TPA set at 200. 
 
The nice thing about the VHLE is that it will basically allow you to reach a higher level of TPE before your rookie year in the VHL, and if you earn well, you can still play eight seasons in the VHL as well. You just need to have 350 TPE before the start of the season to be eligible to get called up to the VHL.

Yeah I think it's tough but ultimately I don't think it was as intentional as Maurice is making it out to be.
 
People need to be able to differentiate between dirty and intent to injure though. Intent to injure generally requires some evidence of pre meditation. Cookes hit on Savard for example. In hockey it's usually from targeting. The dirty hits that come because of misguided timing or playing on the edge are more born of recklessness. Both should still be suspension worthy with context but obvious intent is like nearing a crime and way more serious than reckless behavior in game context.

Best of luck to you. But some unsolicited advice from someone who works a lot in law: Complete internet silence, including social media and forums like this, is a good idea until it blows over. Hopefully this wouldn't turn into a case, but if it does, that'll be the first place a prosecutor will check and even talking about a case (even to say you didn't do it) can be used by a smart attorney in some fashion.

If your canadian should be fine. Plus your a minor, case will be very hard to prove that you actually did it if you didnt.
