He may not have put up big numbers in his first 4 games managing only a hit, shot blocked, an a plus one rating in four games. He played minimal minutes but that didn't stop the rookie from being very vocal behind the bench. He was constantly seen providing support for teammates an cheering them on trying to provide anything he could for the team to win. It seemed to have worked as the Vestiquan team managed to pull off four wins. The kid despite being only a rookie was noted as being very vocal in the locker-room between periods. Most would think he was too cocky for being very vocal and trying to help lead a locker room that has many more respected or well known players, but teammates seemed to have found it as a good thing an were quoted saying he was more motivational than someone going in an insulting anyone. A few teammates even quoted the kid as showing leadership skills beyond his years. That is a quality that any team loves to have in players especially young players that have yet to be drafted.

Komarov was quoted after being on the ice for game fours game winning goal.. It shows despite being a raw prospect and playing minimal ice time his impact on an off the ice has been a big one. He shows determination it will take to become one of the best defenders in the VHL.One day we fully suspect he will become a player most teams fear playing against, but also a guy every team wants on their side. We expect to see him continue to help Vestiquan rack up wins in their quest to capture the Super cup title. It will certainly be interesting to see how his play progresses throughout the tournament. Will he gain more ice time can he continue to provide energy an leadership without annoying his team an turning players on his, or will they keep respect for a player whose working hard every second hes on the ice.
 

 
In a few days after the tournament Komarov will head to Oslo to join his new teammates for training camp after he was drafted in the third round. For now however Komarov stated his only goal right now is to help his team in any way to capture a title, and improve his play each and every game to become a top player. "I'm excited to join my VHLM team don't get me wrong but when your playing in such an important tournament you have to focus on that, once i get to Oslo my focus will be solely on helping that team become a powerhouse an try to capture that title". This rookie is certainly a fiery competitive soul that has shown early on to be a driven player. It will be interesting to see what kind of role he plays in Oslo next season.

I decided to try my hand at the second installation of the Super Cup. Last time around my player was brand new and our team sucked pretty bad. I figured I'd give this a try. Unfortunately I was on my cellphone which put me at an immediate disadvantage, furthermore I don't tend to keep track of some of the scrubs around the league. I probably reached a few times (I didn't expect no one to draft a goalie in the first round other than Bagelface), but I did compile what I hope is a nice mix of depth, skill and youth on my roster.

As you can see, we have a good core of centres which is one reason why I neglected to draft good wingers. Not to say that my wingers are slouches, many of them are just really young and won't mature until the next Super Cup. I wanted to get a fair number of draftees on my roster as well which shows up in Boomgaarden, Faraday and Stokes. I think we'll have good depth on the team with our centres, we should have phenomenal face-off win rates with this team and hopefully we'll be able to control the puck and play good team defence.
 
Will my team suck? Likely it will, perhaps we'll make it into the middle of the pack, but like anything its difficult to really know how things will shake out until the games start. I like the depth and the make-up of this team. In my opinion, I have some of the real elite members on this squad and we have all of the potential simmers in the league so we'll likely win by default suckers.
 
VHL's Seventh Birthday Bash
 
No one else has said anything about the VHL's upcoming birthday (July 18-20th) coming up. For you all see the league turns 7 next week and for other birthdays we've done some big shenanigans. I believe seven years is something we should all celebrate and in such I think I'm going to create a promotion where members have a chance at winning 7,000,000 for the player store. That's a lot to give away you're probably thinking and for sure I know a lot of people will be pissed, but fuck 'em. I still believe in having one giveaway every season and we haven't had one since Christmas. We've earned it. Why give away 7,000,00 you may say? Well we have a new player store coming out and 7,000,000 will buy you a triple's week or some other cool shit. So essentially I'm giving you all a triple's week or equivalent.
 
But it won't be that easy! No, I'm going to hide birthday related pictures to seven different places around the league and you've all got to find them. It won't be as hard or stupid as the 12 Days of Christmas shit Higgins put on, but it will be a challenge. I don't really care if you cheat or help each other, I want everyone to get the 7,000,000. Hello my friends. As most of you probably don't know, the VHL turns 7 in exactly a week. This pleases me a great deal as I and a lot of others have put in a lot of work to make this a place that lots of people enjoy. I've had some good times here and met a lot of real great people. I hope the VHL continues on long after I die from old age, which should be soon. With that said, I've decided to make a sterling decision without regard for anyone else's opinion (which generally happens every once in a while). I don't see why Riga has to come to the aid of their team mates everytime one of them opens their mouth to someone else. Jamie is a big girl, she can finish what she started by herself. Do you see me calling on Seattle everytime I get into it with someone around the league? No, cause I'm not a bitch and I can handle taking out the trash myself. There's two obvious fails here.
 
The first being you set your sliders to 5 offense? lulz
 
Second, he has the rivalry setting set to 5 between Davos and Riga which increases the penalty minutes a lot. Should he do it? No, it usually makes the better team lose from what I've seen, but it's not like he changed it all of a sudden (well likely not, but he may have for increased riggery).
