  1. Yeah, the Nukes. If it was the Nuuk Oilers, you'd have a full force 'liberation' on your hands.

    SEA/DAV; S70

Nah, people thought that the TOR/DAV trade was bad because I gave away a 'lotto pick' and a second round pick for Chad Magnum and Jaxx Hextall essentially. The value was agreeable to me regardless of what other people think. In the thread most people were 'ah, Davos won this trade!" but when it came to the public vote it wasn't so black and white last I checked. A lot of people thought Toronto came out ahead. Not majority, but not totally in favor of Davos like everyone was thinking. What a lot of people are still thinking is Alex Bridges is retired. He isn't, I know this because I was talking to Rayzor about his recreate not being on his team or something like that and he mentioned Seattle pressed for him to just un-retire his old player since he was so new anyway. If you direct your attention to his update log... Yes, there it is, updated for the week ending Feb. 02! Learn from the trades you complete. There's a lesson every time.

  4. Toronto doesn't have VHLM players on its roster. ?
  5. I 'kinda' agree with him, I stop around his religion rant (and finally added him to my ignore list). I'm not religious, but my god stop forcing your opinion on others like its fact through statements and just let people believe in what ever they want. It's Robbie though... It's a shame a sports icon died, yes, but it's often (and this time greatly) exaggerated by the media and blown out of proportion in the news. What I mean is Robbie is right, the majority of the headlines aren't 'Nine killed in helicopter crash' as it would be if it weren't someone famous. It's all focused on an icon. "Icon and eight/seven others fatally killed in crash." If my favorite hockey 'icon' passed away, I'd be sad of course. I'd join others mourning like those on social media, I reckon, but I wouldn't go over the top by spamming images and sharing every picture I come across. A sharp, respectful fan salute and that's it. Rest in peace, icon, and thanks for the inspiration! Hockey 'icons' death, while sad, doesn't triumph others who have died either and deserved recognition. A family friend of mine, a loving mother to one of my best childhood friends passed away just a few days ago, and she has priority over Kobe in both my mind and heart. The reason it's all over the internet is because he had an influence to a great number of generations through basketball. The plane carrying souls shot down by it's own country didn't have that impact, and on social media was comparatively - and sadly - ignored. It wasn't, but in comparison... more people cared about Kobe's crash than Iran shooting down their own jet and killing civilians. And that is why I typically avoid most social media crap. Just mindless sheep to the slaughter the majority of the time.
  6. We don't have an award for the biggest trash talker on the ice.
  7. Spyro's been good. Hope you get more starts with Vancouver other than just against Toronto.
  8. Another week is approaching, another six question here to be asked! 1. Toronto's first week of play has concluded. We're 4-5-0 with 8 points, which to me is pretty awesome. Is the team over performing, under performing or performing as expected compared to your expectations before the season started? 2. Our rookie, Chad Magnum, has five points in his nine VHL games. He is currently tied for second in rookie positioning, do you think he'll rise above Summers for the number one spot? 3. Toronto's had a rough schedule against Vancouver (four of our five losses so far are against them). Do you think our record would be better than 4-5-0 if it were against a more diverse schedule? 4. Toronto - at the moment - is tied with the D.C Dragons for the final playoff position in the NA conference, both firmly above Seattle's terrible 1-6-2 record so far. Do you think this is just a fluke, or do you think this'll extend into the season? 5. The HC Davos Dynamo (3-3-4) - like Toronto - have been surprising people early. Like above... do you think that this is just 'STHS being STHS' or do you believe there is some other reason for it? 6. Nethila Dissanayake's 10 points is leading the team through Toronto's 9 games. Is this any surprise, or did you expect another player to be atop the Legion's roster? If so... who?
  9. Despite my head being enlarged because of Toronto’s success, it is rather remarkable mine is still somehow smaller than yours.
  10. You pretty much answered your own suggestion.
  11. I’ll be tossing my name in this season... to help anyone who needs it. Feel free to contact me on here or on Discord if you need any help! Great opportunity to give those who have no experience some experience. God speed!
  12. Not writing this for any TPE, but I want to announce the Toronto Legions leadership group for the S70 season. We don’t have too many active players, and I refuse to give a letter to someone who isn’t here, even though May absolutely deserves it after shitting on Seattle’s season opening two games. The individual wearing the C this season is Chad Magnum, and although he is a prospect, he is active right now and showing how to lead by example with his own players development. Magnum created a month after the S70 draft class opened, with the first S70 prospects starting to earn TPE in October, and he’s kept up with them despite creating in November. Way to go, Magnum! Our first alternative captain will be Nethila Dissanayake, he’s got the capabilities to be a quality player if he remains active in the Discord server and is expected to be the Legions top player this season. Congratulations, Nethi! Our second alternative captain this season will be Aron Nielsen, and while he did sign with the Legion through free agency, solas has been active in the Discord and nominated May for all three roles. What a selfless act! For real though, he’ll likely be our best defender too. @Corco @nethi99 @solas
  13. I totally forgot that you tried to interview me, Spaz. I deeply apologize to you, I’d still be willing to do an exit interview of sorts if you are willing to accommodate me.
  14. I will do everything in my power to get Houston a cup!
  15. Josh made the playoffs with a CPU goalie, anything is possible.
