NotAVHLM-GM reacted to Devise in NA Semi-Finals, GM 6: Toronto vs. Quebec
It was all in the coins....they foretold the end....
Good series Toronto, Rift/Remy traded games were they played bad. Ultimately it seemed to me this whole playoffs Quebec could only win when Rift played good. No offense to my teammates as Kellinger, Grigs, tons of our boys had good overall playoffs but we would rarely be able to bail Rift out. And finally, in the season I retire him Rift decides to be inconsistent for a playoffs. Good riddance to Two Face, and good luck in the finals Remy. Win a Cup for you and Toronto, you guys deserve it!

NotAVHLM-GM reacted to Taurus in Claimed:Irish Bulldozer speaks on VHLM, Temper Issues and more
As usual, there was a few players to announce that they would be entering the VHLM this season past the deadline that they could be signed before the playoffs, many young prospects either wait another season or announce their eligibilty before Ryan Barrett did. Barrett declared his eligibilty a DAY after the deadline for VHLM teams to pick up players, but Barrett doesn't mind it.
"I really don't mind not playing in the playoffs, it just gives me more time to train to the Minors. Not that I need it, but I gotta stay up to par with my competition, don't want the lads back home to get all excited and not watch me go on the ice and break some bones."
Despite preparing to become a member of the league, Barrett says he doesn't know much about the VHL.
"I really don't know that much about the VHL, other than it's a hockey league, and the best competition in the world is in it. Especially when I get in the league, it will definitely be the most entertaining thing to watch."
Barrett has been known for his temper issues in the youth competitions. Despite him spending alot of his time in the penalty box, Barrett doesn't feel that he has any temper issues.
"I play hockey how it's meant to be played, don't get on the ice with me if you don't want to get hit laddie. I put my heart and soul into Hockey and I'm going to do what it takes to win every game for my team. If you call that temper issues, I don't know what to say to you."
It's hard to point out Ryan's weaknesses due to the weaker competition he's played throughout the years compared to the rest of the incoming prospects, but don't worry, according to the Irish Bulldozer, he has no weaknesses.
"I don't have any weaknesses. This is Hockey, I'm a defender. Can I skate? Yes. Can I hit? Definitely. Can I protect my goal? Duh. You're thinking about it too much. I do everything well. My only weakness, if anything, is my age, I should be in the VHL by now lad!"
Barrett is apart of an OKAY draft class and when asked where he thinks he should be drafted and why he deserves to be drafted more than others, he said...
"1st overall, definitely. I'm gonna be the biggest asset to any team in the minors and isn't it obvious why I'm better? I'm 245 pounds of straight muscle lad, I'm quick, there's not much anyone can do on the ice when you have a bulldozer coming towards you. If a team wants me, they can have me. They'll know what I'll bring night in and night out, a fierce and emotional game."
Before we could ask Barrett anything else, he got tied up on a phone call and had to leave the interview. It's obvious that Ryan Barrett has alot of growing up do before he can begin to play with a VHL team.

NotAVHLM-GM got a reaction from Wasty in Prospect Watch: Sami Kravinen
/** Disclaimer - Old content - this was not published in the VHLM Magazine due to it not being released. **\
Prospect Watch: Sami Kravinen
From superstar to nobody; that is the current life of Sami Kravinen. Kravinen was the best defenseman in his previous league, the semi-professional PHL. In this week’s edition of Prospect Watch we take a look at Kravinen. We will find out where he came from and how will he do with the transition to professional hockey.
Sami Kravinen is used to being a hero, coming from a league where he was two-time winner of the defenseman of the year trophy he sees himself as the next coming of the great ones like Bobby Orr. The Finnish defenseman however has the statistics to proof his greatness. When he entered the PHL he was on one of the worst teams from the league, yet he did manage to be that important for his team that he ended up being the Lidstrom winner, the trophy for best defenseman of the year. While he was no point per game player, he racked up a fair amount of points, average more than four hits and two shots blocked a night you can say he was a great force on the ice.
His team improved when he got better himself as well and he got more in control of his offensive game. In only his second season he managed to score 118 points in only 80 games played, while still remaining a similar amount of hits, blocks and takeaways. Kravinen had outgrown the league and looked for a new challenge; it was time for professional hockey.
When his league went into hibernation mode, it was the worldwide Victory Hockey League that caught his eye. That would become his new goal, to become the best defenseman in this league. Kravinen is a known warrior; he will not stop until he achieves his goals and knows he needs to take it one step in a time. In order to get to the VHL he had however go to through the VHLM. A league where the strong will be separated from the weak. Only the best hockey players will remain and make the jump to the pros.
This season Kravinen is showing his worth for the Brampton Blades who he was the second waiver claim of the season for after they also had acquired Right Wing Damon Tyrael. Joining the Blades after they already played 12 games in the season was a bit hard for the Fin. He suddenly realizes he is not even remotely as good as he thought he was when matched up versus other talents that reside in the VHLM. His statistics compared to the old league have fallen down; he is no longer a point per game player, no longer blocking and hitting at his old pace, Kravinen is just one of the guys now instead of the superstar he was with his old team the Boston Fighting Irish.
Kravinen is however determined to improve and work towards being one of the best. The odds are always there he doesn’t pan out, but with the right motivation and mind set, Sami Kravinen might as well be the surprise pick of the Season 36 VHL and VHLM drafts. Keep an eye out for Kravinen, the potential is there. Once his adjustment period has ended, look for him to become one of the prime defenseman in the VHL.

NotAVHLM-GM reacted to sterling in VHLM Goal
Yes you are. There is a very small minority who agree with this, even in here. What exactly do you suppose the benefits would be. To me, having two simmers means way more inconsistency and yes, having two separate leagues, two separate sims and two separate files is more work. That seems like common sense to me. Not to mention, I dont think you understand the amount of work a radical change takes in this league. Making a second sim also entails eliminating VHLM teams. Overall, I know you wont change a damn thing because the Minors will never be perfect.
Like I said before, the intent of the VHLM is not parity, it is development. What you need are good GMs and better recruiting. Youre trying to solve a problem that doesnt need to be solved.
