S E A T T L E B E A R S S 7 6 C A P T A I N S A S S I S T A N T # 1 Lucifer Olivier Leveque @InstantRockstar A S S I S T A N T # 2 Hex Universe @Hex Universe C A P T A I N Jim Bob @jRuutu Similar to last season, short and sweet (never with me). A lot of members are in leadership roles with the team and the LR is happy and strong. We managed to retool but hopefully remain somewhat competitive (cup or good pick, bear good). We made strong moves to remain strong in many ways. Once again we have a locker room full of amazing players and people that are committed to sticking together and continuing the strong success that Seattle has seen throughout the many seasons. IR is someone I trust a lot in the league and on the Bears. He’s already played a huge part in the past, present and will continue to do so in the future. Hex has been a great addition to the team and not only has a bright future in the VHL, but with Seattle as well. He’s a strong representation of the Bears future. Ruutu was the first thought that came to mind with captaincy this year. I’m sure everyone knows without me saying how great of a person, teammate and leader Ruutu is. GO BEARS GO!

I heard somebody talking about it but I can't remember where. I also seen an article from @Jubis about how the league was filling up. There is no denying that all the teams are getting fuller and reaching their capacity. I didn't fully look into the article and am unsure if he actually looked into how many of those players are active and how many are inactive. I know Seattle is currently on a mission to sign some sweet in-actives that is going to lead to an all-time best GMOTY award steal come the next off-season (sorry @Victor). I know the more teams get full, the more people are going to start screaming expansion which we all know @Beaviss already has a hard on for. Who doesn't? The thought of new teams is absolutely exciting. New places, faces and logos is always a good time but is it the right time? We've been expanding a lot lately and while a lot of it is justified by the successful recruiting and amount of members who join and end up staying, is too much of something that's good.. bad? My biggest concern is that people see the league getting full, try and find other alternatives but at the end of the day take the easy route out and decide to expand. Maybe the time is right. Maybe more teams is exactly what is needed. But is there other options that could maybe prevent is from happening so soon? That way, when it really does happen, the league is truly ready for it and we're not a bubble that is blowing, blowing, blowing and then all of a sudden pops? I fear for the day that maybe recruitment isn't as good.. or things slow down.. and teams contract. Of all the examples of things that go up fast, damn is it a hard fall down. So, some quick ideas on what the league could potentially implement? Not saying they're 100% bang on but they're something that's crossed my mind anyway. 1. Goalies... Maybe change the VHLM Banking and cap system? I know fixing one mess by causing another isn't the best thing to do but it's all on how you look at it. Right now we have a goalie problem in the VHL like a mother fucker. How many teams have more than one goalie? Raise your hands if so. How many have more than 2 actives ones somewhere in their organization? If so, raise your hands. Probably every team? In fact, it wouldn't be surprising to hear that they have 3-4... and what the hell is their plan for them when they all pop above 250? Is the league gonna implement another role? What's the plan? EXPANSION... shut up, Beaviss... What if instead of that we... implement or changed the system on what we allow players to bank. Right now, goalies have to be at 250 prior to the deadline or they bump into the VHLM. What if, for goalies, we allowed them to go to 300 instead of 250? OR, let them hit 250 and instead of forcing them up the next season, they weren't forced to go up until they had say... 150 banked? So they were allowed 250 +149 banked.. if they maintain that, they can stay done. Anything above, it's time to come up. I think it would mostly prolong a goalies time downstairs 1 seasons, which buys time for the VHL. Yes, it would slightly clog up the M, but aren't they always low on players or partially anyway? Don't we want them to expand eventually too? It could be healthy for the league.. maybe they could maintain healthier rosters.. etc Might not even be a bad plan to do for forwards and dmen.. 2. Change the capping for D-men and Forwards? Man, more and more players are making it up to the VHL quicker... then they're sitting as the 7-8th forwards on their team or the 5th dman.. nothing wrong with that but that's not usually how the VHL flies. I'm not gonna blab so much on this one as it's basically the above and yes, it would clog up the VHLM a bit.. but being a 289 TPE player playing on the 3rd line if you're lucky... is that fun? I'm sure people would do it and it does offer realism, but the league hasn't been that for 75 seasons and we're about to start now because? I don't think i t's a bad move.. makes the league more competitive.. makes the VHLM matter more.. stabilizes the league a bit.. you have the opportunity to add more teams now because at the start of the next season you rosters are being wiped so that their 263 TPE player can go get fucked up by the VHL's biggest stars. 3. Accept that this is how things will be and slightly increase the cap. If you're going 9/4/2 or 9/6/2 - a cap dump is likely in order or things are going to be too chaotic. I definitely don't feel like this one is the answer, but it is a solution and a rather easy one that a majority of leagues already do anyway. You're a new player. You might even be kinda shit. Do you deserve a 1st or 2nd line spot? Probably not. So again, realism. 4. Block goalies from being created You want to be a goalie? Too bad, you can't be. The league has way too many. Is there not a way to add on the portal a warning message fro new players? "Hey, welcome to the league. There's 16 teams in the major leagues and they currently have 45 goalies in the VHL. Abort mission or enjoy playing 0 games a season unless you're on Davos". Or, at least show them the stats? Is there a way to show all totals in both leagues in a minor break down? Even add it as like a drop down so it doesn't take up crazy space? There is 53 Forwards, 39 Dmen, 13 goalies in the VHLM... 112 forwards, 84 Dmen and 34 goalies in the VHLM... and have them color coded to trick them and persuade them into creating as "X". 5. Make a Junior, Junior League This is joke. I didn't like the first one or the idea but this we could also do. EXPAND THE M. INCREASE THE CAPPING SYSTEM. Allow players to be 300 TPE in the M... or Allow 250 + the ability to bank up to 150 for 400 TPE total.. after that, you're forced into VHL. Or just expand. Edmonton, Stockholm, Cologne, Boston. Easy choices. IDK why people are so against reusing old logos. Stockholm's and Cologne's were bad ass. Also, please not a 4 team expansion and not next off-season.. let's see how things go.. 2 week claim. 18-24 *double week 25-31

I don't know how many of these I've started but this is the easiest one to remember because each title had it's own name depending where I was writing. Sometimes at work, in bed, in the tub, on the shitter. My artsy word vomit for the league happens in many unique places. One of the best times of the season is around and that's the off-season. Lot's of action was happening so let's just get right into my 3 bear blabs for the week. I think this season is going to be my 28th season as a general manager. It's been pretty constant for energy for quite some time. No dip, no gain. Can't do much more than I've already done but love the role, it's duties and engaging with amazing people. A lot of people complain the off-season is too long and they get bored and while Seattle's "off-season" was prolonged a tiny bit this year, the break as a GM is honestly not a bad thing. You go deep in the playoffs and it's a constant boom, boom, boom. The Seattle Bears had an excellent draft. We had one target in mind who was @Juice, could of potentially snuck in a pick on dishonesty but decided not to. I wasn't joshing around when I said the talent at 8/9 was comparable to that at 5. We ended up nabbing @Hex Universe @Toast at those 2 picks, so can you really chuckle and say "X" won? I don't think so. We ended up topping the cake with the the most legendary cherry of them all in @Phil. Seattle win's the first round. Sure, quantity. Also quality. It's nice being a team that just did a massive amount of winning, being able to enter a "retool" and add awesome depth, and still try and make a playoff run. If we don't, what's wrong with another sweet pick? Off-season was a lot of fun. Trade talks started much earlier than the off-season and Seattle was swinging out of the fences. A lot of hard trades had to be made but we felt like it was the best thing for the organization. You can either sell at the peak, or close to it and capitalize on your gains, or wait a bit for the price to come down hoping you hit that final Cinderella moment. We want to remain competitive. Not for 1-2 seasons but for many. We'll do what we can to make that happen.

What is the VHLM at though? Maybe it's time to make a bit more of a balanced system? I know we don't want to clog up the VHLM.... but expanding every 3 seasons is all fun and games until it becomes too much and then the bubble bursts. I know we've done great and the amount of members we have is awesome, but the M is still naked. I might save my thought for a quick media spot.

Bana's S76 Quick Q's Press Conference Rules Seattle Bears Team Page 19. Predict the Bears record at the end of the 72 game regular season. 20. Predict your players offensive stats at the end of the 72 game regular season (VHL or M) 21. Who will be the Bears biggest player this up and coming season? 22. Predict who you think will be the league MVP? 23. Which goalie will reign supreme and be goalie of the year? 24. What team will make the finals from the EU? Why? 25. What team will make the finals from the NA? Why? Remember, I post enough that there's diversity but also so that you can pick and choose throughout the season. There will always be enough that you can go back each week and answer etc.

A lot less weird than the first video done lol. Almost had a nice WWE promo vibe to it. Interesting stuff, Thad. Props for your efforts and dedication so far. I can’t wait to see how you do. Good luck.
