  1. If this is legit, I'd be pissed too if everyone else got "in-sim" updates. Preach, brother.
  2. NORTH AMERICA EUROPE
  3. This. I say Phil for sure as one, Ill apply as well. I'd love to GM and attempt to go for my 3rd medal and 2nd gold! Let the Legacy of GM Campbell continue!
  4. Bogdan Podarok has been the big A+ for the Bears this season. The story is getting old, but similar to the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League, until the Bears complete their turn around (rebuild) successfully, the story will continue to be told. Last season, the Bears decided to put a lot of their assets into the pot, only to fold their hand and run away with whatever they could. From bringing in some significant free agents to making some bold trades, the Bears eventually reversed everything that they had done, however, came off not too bad when getting valuable assets in return. With multiple picks, the Bears landed some keys pieces, two great young players (AK47 & Sven Wolf) and a future elite goalie in Jakab Holik. For such a quick flip, the future already looked quite bright for the Seattle organization. As the wheels continued to spin, we hit the S50 VHL Entry Draft, which we all know was a far shot from an amazing draft, but still had some excellent talent. The Bears managed to pick up a few solid "B" rated prospects, whom range from 6.5B to 7.5C on VHLProspects.com. As the season progressed, the Bears seemed to find quite a few winning streaks and at one point had their star young player, Bogdan Podarok, chasing the points and goal scoring championship, potentially landing him and the rebuilding team their first trophy into the rebuild. However, with some more moves - bringing in some S52 1st rounders and such, the team consistently remained around the bottom of the league, specifically one spot out of playoffs behind the Calgary Wranglers. The Seattle Bears finished the season with a record of 28-38-6, missing the S50 post season by 14 points and now head off to their homes to sit on the couch and wish they were playing rather than their opponents. Some may potentially sit and sulk, but for one person, it will be the complete opposite. While a lot of people go home to spend time with their families, take a break from the long, difficult schedules that take a toll on the mind and body and train to maintain and better their bodies and skills for the next season, GM Campbell won't be going anywhere anytime soon. In his office he will remain, looking over this seasons and S52's prospects lists, evaluating his organization and his opponents and looking to figure out what the next step of his rebuild is, or, if he already has it, how he will pull it off. Giving us a good look into his thoughts on the season, GM Campbell gave a statement earlier today in Seattle. Campbell hopes to find the same success he found in the VHLM, in the VHL. "Coming into the season, I don't think one single person had us making playoffs. We had an incredible amount of inexperienced youth that was getting their first taste of the game and it's obvious that the first year demand of the fans and pressure exceeded reality and they obviously didn't perform how a lot of fans thought they would. Me? I'm absolutely proud of the team, what they accomplished this season and how well they've managed to stick to the team during these difficult, straining times. A rebuild like this isn't easy, but it's something they we're all willing to become apart of or if traded to us, learned to accept and be more than okay with. These rebuilds are tough because the players give up an extreme amount and put there trust in me and hope that it works out. Possibly though, it may not and that's something that looms over my head and there's from time to time but it's important to block those things out. This season was a stepping stone for us and in my mind, was part of step one. We sold off assets and brought in a young core - now it's time for step two and that's obviously to go out and find other assets, whether it be through trade, free agency or the draft. The future is bright in Seattle and as time progresses, I see more clearly how to bring success to the team and finally show the boys that trusting the process wasn't the wrong choice. They deserve it! They're an amazing, loyal group of players and I will continue to work my ass off to give them what they deserve and that's a fucking cup.
  5. Could this be the future rivalry when it comes to the North American conference? For quite sometime now, Quebec and Toronoto have safely ruled over the conference, but with multiple aging players, limited assets and two young teams looking to push through the playoff/contending barrier, could this all change? If things swapped and we seen Calgary and Seattle begin to go neck and neck with it, what could we expect? When GM Campbell of the Bears was asked this question, this was his response.. I expect a blood bath. Both teams have good GM's. I can't overly evaluate myself, but I like to think I do an okay job. Wranglers GM has a plan and is executing is efficiently right now and that just means if both teams can stay on track, they're gonna be some crazy games and hopefully series. Both teams have great assets and the right pieces to make the swap in the conference and I think it's only a matter of time to see what's going to happen. Either way, I hope the swap happens and we create a few fun seasons for both squads.
  6. Anyone got a link? reddit fuckin sucks

it's the worst draft of all time

  10. I'd like to apply. Previously before, I had come forward with numerous sites which had large member amounts on them. I think I'd have a lot of unique, alternative ideas to offer which could potentially bring in some new members. We (myself, Draper and possibly Eagles?) had spoken about this before, however, guarantee pay, position or job responsibility was not put in place. With now more structure, I think it will be successful. I'd like to brainstorm and bring my ideas to the table and bring a bigger, brighter future towards the VHL.
  11. Sven Wolf- SEA +3
  12. Hey bud, that's your ship to steer now.
  13. BUT, his scoring his 99 PA 90 +. I'm sure it's just an odd slump. Maybe tougher teams the last 10+ or so? Dunno.
  14. This is about correct. Partially why last time I looked I had like 2 goals, 18 assist in 40 some odd games. I was always told to have a nice little gap between the 2 if you wanted to be either or. If your passing is higher than scoring, dont expect to score as much imo. Your player will have the tendency in the sim to pass rather than say, shoot
  15. #DAVS I guess. @Draper

  17. The Wolf. When one hears the word Wolf, they think about the animal that roams the shadows of the forest alone. You also think about one of the biggest, meanest and dominant predators in his habitat. For Sven Wolf, you would expect the same, except his habitat isn't the forest - it's the ice. Scouting reports held him high in the rankings and fans throughout Sweden claimed he had traits similar to Forsberg and numerous other Swedish greats who have once laced them up representing their nation. However, despite the hard and incredible amount of dedication he has put into training and his rapid progression when it comes to developing as a player, he has yet to find his stride in the VHL. Being a play maker this is maybe slightly understandable, especially for a rookie, but for a player with his type of potential we can't help but feel a bit disappointed. While most rookies take a bit to take off and generally have an additional year in juniors, Wolf took it upon himself to skip the stepping stone and hop right into the big leagues to attempt to fill some large voids with a potential minor presence. Wolf has notched only 2 goals in 41 games, but remember, he is a play maker and currently is focusing on his passing game. While his goals are slightly dull, his assist total is double digits and amounts to 18 for 20 points on the season. While this is nothing to overly kick a fuss up about being a first year player and losing out on an additional junior season, as stated prior it's simply not what we expected from him. Wolf sets up a Podarok goal early in the 2nd period. Prior to the start of Season 50, it was fairly well known where Wolf was going, what the plan was for him and what his role on the Seattle Bears would be. When it came to expectation, it could honestly be thrown up in the air as predictions from media outlets were all over the place. Essentially, the range for this point of the season was from 34 points and 48 points. Obviously, coming up fairly short. When GM Campbell of the Seattle Bears was approached about his young stars performance, this is what he had to say. We're not overly concerned currently with how Wolf has been playing. He's on the first line, among others, and is competing against some really elite players and teams. Secondly, he missed out on an extra junior season where most rookies likely had went through two and had more TPE prior to sporting a VHL teams jersey over their shoulders. He's done an okay job. Sure, maybe he hasn't been a huge presence on the point chart and sure, if he had maybe we'd be winning more games. Everyone of our fans and the Bears team knows the process we're going through. His time will come, just like the teams time will come. When it does, it's going to be fucking huge. And when the young player was interviewed after a team practice, his words were rather confident than disappointed. It's a learning curve for me, for sure. I know they're saying I have a ton of potential and they're not wrong. It's just a lot about learning, gaining experience and developing your skills and those 3 things are something I've been very focused and dedicated to progressing with. With my play, sure I am disappointed. It's nice to put up big points and obviously it's even nicer to help your team and the boys get those wins, but I just have to focus on training and becoming a stronger player and the rest will come. In the near future, you're going to see much stronger strides from me.
  18. The Seattle Bears have in recent years been a fairly consistent hot spot when it comes to free agents looking for a new home. From some minor talent to elite talent, the Bears have picked up quite a few names. For the upcoming off season, the Bears hope for the pattern to continue. As most are aware, during their elite FA frenzy, the Bears decided to change routes mid journey and go a different direction. Unlike then, the team is in better condition, have great young assets and are coming along nicely while also being in a weaker conference than last year surely helps. For starters, it all starts in our net. Holik is a great young goalie and he's going to be the cornerstone from what we're doing here. It's a delicate process as we dont want to waste his prime. Then we got Bogdan Podarok. I mean, guys been an offensive force for us this season. We hope a lot of players around the league would be excited to play with a player like that. With those 2, we have numerous other significant youth pieces - as well as a few trade talks in the mix. We really want to attract those FA's, speed up the process and hoist a cup.
  19. Id love for you to elaborate on this as I cant seem to find 5 franchise players at this moment. Let's hear reasonings on each prospects. Im not doubting any prospect and this isn't Seattle slamming spects or being unintetested. Simply, a conversation opener and Im intrigued to see your answer. Again, franchise is a proven player imo. Streetlight, Kendrick, Draper etc. Previous history of inactivity, leaving or current semi-acitivity imo disqualifies them. Skye is #1 likely, yes. Deservingly so. Also, as always, good write up @Kendrick
