The stat ratios themselves cannot necessarily be changed, since most stats get to or exceed 99, and STHS treats that as the max and doesn't account for anything over that. The ratios can be changed for some stats, and maybe erase some attributes influence altogether (Body Checking is pretty piss poor for boosting defense), but overall it would need a complete overhaul to make it work, and not just small tweaks.

Wdym? Surely we can make an attribute increase by 0.38 instead of 0.3?

Best solution tweaking wise would be to lower the TPE costs per stat increase.

I mean this is just essentially the same thing.

    Discipline are virtually useless

Discipline is OP if your whole team has it around ~60 or 70 with no checking.

But yeah I agree that hybrid hasn't been the greatest for the league, but it is a much much healthier solution. I think it's been unhealthy in the terms of player progression for welfare players, as you'll like never have a good player now whereas pre-hybrid you still could. Which can be argued whether it's good or bad (people contributing more content/work to the league should probably have better players, but should it be impossible for welfare players to have all-star players?).

I think one potential solution is just increasing ratio's by like 1.3x or something small. Would need to look into it more. In terms of build flexibility, it definitely allows for more flexible builds, but it locks people out of insanely off-meta builds (you can't ignore attributes). Wonder if we could allow TPA recalls to just target the STHS attribute instead of the hybrid attribute. Would need rules on it so you can't just recall all of your passing but might open up options.

  3. idk seems like rin has a pretty decent argument. She has points on 40% of Oslo goals vs. Bennets 32%, has only 4 less goals, but also 20 more hits and 150 more SB's. So not much less offensive production with insane defensive numbers.

Think the only argument is whether she deserves it cause his team sucks and numbers are artificially inflated, but she blocked 8.7% of shots against her team, while Bennet blocked 6.1% against.

I think its close for sure

See if I quit the league and I follow the instagram more than likely after the first post I see from them I will unfollow them. But that's a me thing and maybe a majority wouldn't do the same.

I mean true, but then your at least making the active decision to not rejoin, when someone can totally make the opposite decision.

I mean I guess I wouldn't be interested in random stats from a fake hockey league out of context but maybe I'm not nerd enough lol.

I mean i imagine there's still some value in building a following of current users, because maybe in like 3 years you've quit the league and forgotten about it, then you get a random vhl post in your ig feed since you never unfollowed, and you're like "damn VHL was fun I should check out how it's doing now". Though I do agree random standing posts are not going to be driving new traffic to the site

  6. I feel like daily or any social media posts are not the way to go. Like people have said it's just spamming irrelevant content to a few people who are autopilot scrolling. If you want to advertise I feel like it needs to be done to a large audience who is actually paying attention, which is why reddit and youtube have been so good in terms of numbers, you have a targeted audience who are already paying attention and are actively reading/watching, so they are actually hearing what is said and get interested.

I think that recruitment needs to be much more focused on figuring out this method, instead of trying to manage social media. Recruitment should be looking at new avenues (new channels, twitch streams, forums, podcasts, etc), as well as figuring out how to improve retention from these avenues, since that's the biggest problem with them right now. Obviously it's been tried (new scripts and whatnot), but surely we can do better, start tracking some sort of analytics (views, retention rate, whatever), and work to improve those. I think investing effort into this instead of just shotgunning 1000 random instagram and twitter posts to the void is much more worthwhile.

If you do want to do social media though, I think the focus needs to be on either tiktok/yt shorts/ig reels, since I have seen like random roblox football leagues or like minecraft hockey leagues making posts about the league, their history, recent games, and getting relatively high interactions. This can be a task for someone on recruitment to look into and see what's making this work for them.

Anyways, why don't we just hire @badcolethetitan as recruitment head since he has a marketing degree, and then we just blame him for all the problems.

    1. AGM Willems was recently interviewed and he said that "Keegan Gamble is the real big deal, the true future of the league" - your thoughts on that?
    2. Calaway and Laas have been slowly becoming very good friends, some journalists have called it "the great defensive bromance" -  as a teammate of theirs, do you agree with that title given?

    3. Both Jason and Sakamoto have won awards this season - how much will that influence their morale going into the next season?
    4. If you would have to predict our position in standings at the end of S91 - where would you put your own D.C. Dragons?
    5. What would be your ideal pre-game ritual?
    6. D.C. Dragons ownership has started a new merchandice campaign called "Arena of Dragon" - a GoT and HoD themed hockey equipment - are you interested in acquiring some of that?

    1. He's an amazing player, I can definitely see it

    2. Sounds like a pretty cool title, no complaints

    3. I think it'll help them, knowing that people are watching and recognizing their talent

    4. I'd say top 5 easily, maybe top 3 if we play well

    5. I'm not much of a ritual person

    6. Sounds pretty cool, I'd definitely be interested

Season is coming soon... Are you ready?

    Answer 3 for 1 TPE, Answer 6 for 2

    1. GM Frostbeard, after being pressed by a journalist, has said that "I am yet unsure what role will Frenchman and Jason has on our roster, one will play second line, who? Not sure yet" - Do you feel GM should already know how his lines will look or this is a normal situation for a team not to know who plays where yet?
    2. Keegan Gamble and Keita Kourou have been both actively bonding and have both been seen golfing together in the off-season, what are your thoughts on that?

    3. Ben Laas recently was called out after he said that "Vincent is not good enough of a captain", some quoted that as "Vincent is not good enough at mixing Captain Crunch with milk" - which one do you feel is the right quote?
    4. On our roster, who is the player that has the highest ceiling on what they can achieve in VHL?
    5. Local newspaper "D.C. Chronicles" released an article stating that D.C. Dragons should go into another rebuild and GM Frostbeard should retire. Do you agree with that statement?
    6. Do you individually feel you have done enough practice this off-season to achieve more next season?

    1. No I don't think it's weird. Just need to try things in practice and game to see whats best

    2. That's great. Good relations

    3. Definitely the 2nd, that guy is somehow incapable

    4. I hear that propsect Eno Velvson is a generation talent

    5. Local conspiracy newspaper? That is a HOT take.

    6. Yes, I put in a lot of work with some other prospects and VHLers
