Da Trifecta reacted to Doomsday in S37 Discussion
Weekends are actually when I'm least active.
PT Ideas:
- Brovy is informed that Wesley Kellinger has bought him residency in a retirement home
- Reveal that Shane Baker is quiet because he recently had throat surgery
- Share Davey Jones' hobby, smuggling onions aboard his ship, the Filthy Whore
- Matt Bentley gets drunk off of cooking sherry and ruins a team dinner
- Robin Gow signs an endorsement deal with Red Robin, gets overweight from eating hamburgers

Guys in case you haven't seen, I am pushing for a new logo. Koradek has done some nice work and I hope we can get the new logo implemented.

Da Trifecta reacted to Doomsday in GM 24: Davos vs. Calgary
This is the first hat trick of Landry's VHL career, only the second if you count the VHLM. That one came in the S33 Watchmen's Founder's Cup-clinching win.

Da Trifecta reacted to RandomHero in Linholm off to a hot start
While the rest of his fellow New York Americans draftees are playing in New York this upcoming season, Jakob Linholm will be spending another season down in the VHLM. He was taken by the Minot Gladiators in the VHLM dispersal draft and will be playing on their first line for the season. While he is disappointed he won`t be apart of the Americans season this year, he is looking forward to just getting back to playing hockey.
“Well I`m obviously very disappointed that I won`t be playing in New York this year. I am wishing all the guys luck this season and hope that they have success this year. I am just looking forward to playing with the gladiators this season and helping them win the founders cup this year. I am just looking to do as much as I can to help increase my skills and am looking to really make my mark on the VHLM this year since I didn`t get an opportunity too last year. I`m just really excited to be back to playing the game I love.”
Linholm is off to quite the start to the season this year. After getting one point in his first game of the season, he ripped off 8 in the next two. He seems to be a favorite to challenge for the scoring title this year and looks to be using this extra season to his advantage. Linholm is looking to join the Americans next year and will be looking to help out the team anyway he can.

Da Trifecta reacted to iRockstar in Blade Makes Early Case For Most Improved?
For two seasons Mikey Blade played for the Seattle Bears and had similar results, just average seasons and not too much to talk about, but now that he's on the Riga Reign, he may actually be making his money's worth as far as statistics talk. Blade has barely been a seventy point player, and while it does show consistency, he want's to go above and beyond it.
The season is young, only four games in, but Blade has really been a huge contributor for the team, helping them ease into a 3-1 record thus far. In those four games, Blade is tied for most goals (6) and is currently tied for most points at all positions (9). To add to those statistics, Blade has a 25.00% shot percentage and averages close to 2 points per game. If that isn't enough to make you become a believer, he's also a plus six in terms of plus/minus and is only one of three players to have scored a hat-trick this season.
Again we know this is extremely early into the season but one has to wonder if this consistency and game play will pick up, and if it does, where will it stop? We've seen players like Davey Jones completely dominate than slowly fizz back down to normal consistency, but could this be Blades year to take off? I'm sure he'll be on the radar, that's for sure.

Da Trifecta reacted to CowboyinAmerica in K. Olsen on a hitting tear
Four games into the VHL season, who would you expect to be the league leader in hits? Well, it’s not Odin Tordahl, everybody’s selection for best two-way forward. It’s not Anatoli Zhumbayev, either. It’s also not a defenseman like Lefevre, Jack Sound, or either defenseman Valiq. It’s the Seattle Bears’ Karsten Olsen, who has an incredible 30 hits through four games.
“What can I say? I still think like a defenseman sometimes,” Olsen told assembled reporters after the team’s most recent game against Davos. “I like to hit guys.”
In that game against Davos, Olsen went on a hitting spree, amassing 12 hits in just over 32 minutes of ice time. On two of those hits, Karsten went after his brother Jarkko, which resulted in the Davos winger losing the puck.
At this current rate, Olsen would finish with an unbelievable 540 hits on the season. The current record holder is Tukka Reikkinen, who had 430 hits for the New York Americans in S30. While Olsen isn’t likely to keep up his current rate, is the hit record on his mind?
“Not particularly,” Olsen said. “It’s way too early to think about that type of stuff. I’d just like to win a few more games first.”

Da Trifecta reacted to JardyB10 in Naomi Couldn't Beat Them; Joined Them
After a disappointing 2nd round playoff exit, it was going to be a long off-season for the Helsinki Titans. The team was aging, and it was time for a changing of the guard. Long time General Manager and expert rigger Mitchell Higgins stepped down in favour of player agent Vincent Wong, known for his representation of all-star Ethan Osborne.
Before the change at the helm however, Higgins traded damn near every single player on the roster, including former 2nd overall pick Naomi Young. After round 1 of playoffs, Young proclaimed she had converted to the Faith of R'hllor, to smite Lord Davos and his subjects. This plan failed, and she was then awkwardly exiled to Switzerland to join her rivals.
"I had mixed feelings about the ordeal, but then I realized the Dynamo have like, 4 or so of my Top 10 favourite people in the VHL. I took it as a sign that R'hllor is a false god, and have NOW decided to convert to the faith of the old gods. I took my vows under a heart tree just yesterday," said Naomi, an apparent zealot.
The Dynamo are hoping to repeat as VHL Champions, having only lost Odin Tordahl in the off-season. This loss was offset by the acquisition of Young, and the roster was bolstered further with the free agency signing of Felix Zamora.
Naomi ended the interview with, "We are going to fuck up some shit, even though this franchise is kind of gay."
