Review: Very simple graphic. I like the logo you added onto the shirt, the size is done well and the fog/mist clearing only near the head is a nice touch to make the person stand out. The background isn't bad either, I'm not a particular fan of it, but neither am I a hater of it. The Florida man logo at the corner is a nice touch, although I might've placed it more to the left. The topic of the graphic is very simple, therefore it shouldn't be a surprise that the graphic is a simple one as well. Although that's the case, it's nice that you did what you could to make the graphic look competent. 6.5/10

    1. With the off-season looming, what do you think LA needs to do the most in their off-season?
Retaining players isn't going to be easy. It would be impossible to use the picks they have to build a competitive team. The best course of action is to rebuild.
    2. A lot of teams likely needing shake-ups due to retirements, is this the year of the rebuild?
Yep, I think it would be a detriment to both the team and players to stick around.
    3. New GM in town, what is your honest suggestions to get LA back to the big time?
I trust IR can get LA on track and it starts with the rebuild.
    4. Toronto also got a new GM, congrats Doomsday! What are your thoughts on Toronto next season?
I like the look of Toronto. They're on the cusp of being a true contender. I think they could use one more high end forward.
    5. What does your player do pre-game to get FOCUSED?
Chatting with the team, listening to music, bouncing around and staying in a good mood.
    6. If you could add one legacy player to the team, who would it be and why?
That's easy. I wanna play with the GOAT, Scotty Campbell. I'd set all sorts of career highs. Honorable mentions to Hulk Hogan and Dan Dan. Both incredible players that have carried me in the past.

Nope. Haven't been on much so I missed the whole introduction. I have a very

    3.  Were you surprised with the outcome of the Moscow and London series?
Honestly not. Moscow has an insane team.

    4.  Who do you think is going to win it all in the VHLM?
I'm not sure to be completely honest with you. Haven't paid much attention to the M this season.

    1. We just acquired defenseman Milan Dvorak. What are your thoughts on management going all in at the deadline?
I think it's a master stroke. Great move. That guy's a star, and he's a really important piece for any team hoping to win a title. Future hall of famer.

    2. Despite dropping the last two games, we had a pretty strong week. Do you like our chances of finishing on top of the standings?
I'd say they're really good. I mean that's mostly because the season is already over now but you can ignore that part. I personally guarantee we will finish first place in the standings in the regular season.

    3. Our defensemen have been very active recently, racking up a ton of goals for us. How important is production from your defense?
I'd say it's really important. Especially as we're in the last throes of the meta era, it's good to build up our scoring and get as many shots on goal as long as this strategy works. So it's a key that our defensemen are involved in that too.

    4. Are you modeling your build off of another player? If so, which player? If not, what playing style are you trying to go for?
I'll take this question to answer with the new hybrid attributes since that makes for more interesting builds. I wouldn't say I'm modeling my build off of anyone in particular, but I'm considering a couple different ones. Obviously my initial build was an offensive defenseman, so I'm kinda thinking about sticking with that, but I might put a little bit into leadership like I've been doing currently just cause I think that'd be fun.

    5. Do you have a favorite NHL team? If not NHL, any other hockey league around the world?
For the brief amount of time that I was a hockey fan, it was the Bruins. So if I had to pick one now, I think I might stick with them? I don't really have a favorite hockey team though.

    6. Spring break is just around the corner for me. What is the coolest place you have been to for spring break?
I don't think I went anywhere for spring break either lol. It was nice to go home and get away from the stress though, lol.

Hey all. As some of you may know, I’ve been dealing with some stuff lately and it’s all come together to put me to the point that I will have to step away from the GM world. So, following the conclusion of the Season 82 playoffs, I will be stepping down as Warsaw Predators Los Angeles Stars GM. Hopefully by opening up the job now the league can have someone solid in place for as soon as the offseason begins.

After I failed at guiding Vasteras  Halifax in their post-curse-break years way back when, I didn’t think I’d ever try my hand at GMing in a sim league again (at least not in a top level league). I’ve been blessed with amazing players and good luck, but to be able to have the sustained success that Warsaw Los Angeles has been able to have these past four seasons has been awesome. I proved to myself that I could do it, which was pretty cool, and I ended up enjoying the job more than I ever thought I would (most of the time ;)).

It's tough to nail down one recommendation with the team housing multiple stellar newer members that will eventually be VHL GMs one day, but I was told I could only pick one, so my recommendation will go to @dlamb @v.2. Constant VHLM GM snubs aside, dlamb v.2 has a ton of experience with GM leagues, knows Warsaw Los Angeles hockey inside and out, and has proven to me over the years that, as someone on the team I could always lean on for another opinion, he can succeed in a VHL GM job. I hope he and any Warsaw Los Angeles player interested in the job will get legitimate consideration.

Now I just gotta go win a cup real quick then I’ll be out.

zepheter got a reaction from Vkobe-v in Florida Man - Rookie Experience
Florida Man is more than just a hockey player. He is an icon for delinquent boys and girls across the globe. One that doesn’t take no for an answer, and gives his all whether he is on the ice or robbing a bank with with no regard for his own life. Many throw around the term “generational talent” like it is a football on Sundays, but there are levels to this. I preach about the Florida Man meta, and I promise you I am telling the truth when I say it is inevitable. You can relate it to an avalanche going downhill, FAST. When Florida Man establishes his presence, just know something is gonna get real deal fluffed up.

All season long, in the great city of Los Angeles, Florida Man made the most of his talents. Whether it was posting up multi-point performances, stealing money from high profile celebrities, whipping his Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat through the traffic-infested streets of downtown LA, or running rooftop to rooftop in his favorite crocs. Yes, just the crocs. While he might not be the role model we asked for, he is a living reminder for kids to stay away from hard drugs and bad temptations.

You might be wondering how a lunatic with a Florida tattoo on his forehead can split time playing in the world’s top professional hockey league and also be up to so much tomfoolery. The truth is, nobody really knows. Florida Man lives on his own terms. He has taken all of the restrictions set up by the team and governments across the world, and basically thrown them out of the window. When there are questions, he does not sit around and wait for answers. He seeks out the answers in any way he sees fit.

Drawing back to hockey, Florida Man is the answer in all situations. He will go out there and give you a performance that will amaze you every single night. It is not in his nature to put up identical performances. Always demanding more from himself and his teammates. Whether the Stars are killing a penalty, have a power play of their own, or in the final minutes of the game. They can call upon Florida Man and expect him to deliver. Gifted a clutch gene at birth, he has had timely goals throughout his entire career to help him win some of the greatest achievements that hockey has to offer. He is just getting started, so it is only a matter of time before that clutch gene makes its mark on the rest of the VHL.

    2. I think we will. Every team goes through rough patches and I think we hit ours a little bit. We will get it together.
    3. It is very important, it's an aspect that not a lot of other teams have going for them.

    3. It is always important. Having defensemen who are able to score at this rate always benefits the team, especially since they can be considered the full package hockey player.
    4. I am not, but I am trying to create a player who is efficient on both sides of the ice, being a main contributor to goals, but also helping keep the puck out of the net.
    5. My favorite team is the Montreal Canadiens. It has been since I was born.

The Seattle Bears organization has been disgusted and so much more over the last few days as we've all watched an innocent, peaceful and loving country like Ukraine be attacked from all sides in so many different ways. After days, weeks, months and probably years of lying, manipulation and dirty tactics, Russia has conducted an unprovoked, unjustified and barbaric attack on the Ukrainian people and their freedoms. Like most, I and we were not surprised. It wasn't a matter of "IF", but a very unfortunate "WHEN". That happened to be a few days ago and ever since the start, my eyes haven't been able to stay away from that reddit page updates or the news for more than probably 15 minutes max. That Reddit page updates every like 2-5 minutes with information 24 hours a day so it's literally like crack. This stuff fascinates me and is interesting and obviously not in the best of way. How can you note be glued to this and care so much? The horrific videos of the attacks, the sad videos and news of a father hugging his daughter and she boards a train - both sobbing, or the bad ass moments where a Ukrainian woman tells Russian soldiers to put sunflower seeds in their pockets so that when they're put down flowers will grow. What a crazy world we live in. Deep down, I hope Ukraine can do well without any physical, military personnel help from other nations (NATO etc), but if it comes down to it, I REALLY hope we get involved because they don't deserve to be left alone to lose their freedoms and if we don't stop this... where will it end and what does it really say about our governments or us?

On the portal, there is 7 players from Ukraine. Of the 7, Seattle has the highest ranked at 571 TPA in Em Em Flex @oilmandan. Two others have had higher TPE and that would be L & R @gorlab/ @Kylrad. My player, Mikhail Kovalchuk, is Russian. This is what he had to say: "I do not stand with my country or Vladimir Putin. Putin is a dirty, POS snake and I hope he gets what he has coming to him. I do not support this war. I do not want this war. I feel so bad for the people of Ukraine. I want to change my citizenship to Ukraine and move there!" I know the VHL is an amazing community that has come together at times to do some amazing things - whether it's Christmas time and we're donating to all our specific causes, bush fires and BC in flames and whatever the case may be.. We always find a way, despite our differences, to come together to bring some good to the community. A small, weird little online hockey league and we find a way to bring some amount of good to other peoples lives. It is my hope that if Ukraine can come out of this okay (we're rooting for you! ZELLENSKKYYYYY), that maybe the idea of us somehow supporting a fund to help those who have been injured, hungry, lost loved ones or displaced from their homes. I don't know - food for thought

I know that this may come as a surprise to some of you, but it’s taken me 17 months of being the VHL to spend a considerable amount of time on the index simply exploring. I went through and clicked on just about anything I could, saw a few interesting records, and found myself looking at player stats. I ventured over to the goalie area and discovered that when I click on a player and then click into “Pro Stat” I can see how many times that player earned a star in a game.

Now, you may be wondering what I did with this incredibly valuable information. Well, wonder no more! Here we go!

    Nerdy Facts and Stats
Up to this point in S82 there have been 366 games played in the VHL. With each game having 3 stars there have been 1098 stars this season within these games.

At first, I was curious to see how many times goalies in the VHL grabbed one of those stars. What I found. after looking at every goalie who has played at least one game in the VHL this season, totaling 31 goalies, was that goalies have been named a star of the game 97 times. First star times were 35, second star times were 34, and third star times were 28.

What this means is that out of the 1098 possible chances a player had to be named a star of the game, VHL goalies were named 97 of those times. For those who love percentages, this means that VHL goalies have been stars of the game 8.83% of the time this season thus far.

In all of the VHL there are 295 skaters and 31 goalies who have played in a game this season, totaling 326 players. This is including bot players and goalies and players who had at least 1 second of on-ice time. This means that the goalies that have played this season make up 9.5% of the population of players who have played this season.

9.5% of the playing population has won 8.83% of the star opportunities. (Disclaimer: Keep in mind that at most in one game goalies can only claim 2 out of 3 stars since you won’t have 3 goalies in a game each grabbing a star. Also, a goalie’s chances of earning a star is .33% less likely to happen when compared to a skater who has 3 opportunities to be named a star in a game) (Further Disclaimer: There are so many variables that go into probability and I A) don’t know how to do all of that, and B) don’t care to do it all even if I knew how. It’s likely I messed up something somewhere, so be gentle on me).

    Goalies played (31) / Total number of players (295 skaters + 31 goalies) = 9.5%
    Times goalies were stars (97) / Total star opportunity (1098) = 8.83%

    The Fun Part
Of course, as someone who manages a goalie, and has for 8 seasons now, I like seeing him do well. So, in the spirit of competition I wanted to show the goalies and how many times they earned first, second, and third star of the game.

As far as goalies with first star of the game accolades we have Thadius Sales with the most at 5 times. Then, Kunibuni UnGuri and Sikants Klamasteris have both been the second star of the game the most at 4 times a piece. And finally we have four goalies who have the most third star of the game accolades; David Davis, Sirkants Klamasteris, Tobias Reinhart, and Xavier Booberry. Finally, there are four goalies who have each been designated as a star of the game up to this point in the season 8 times; Em Em Flex, Sirkants Klamasteris, Tobias Reinhart, and Thadius Sales.

Now, after reading all of this you may be wondering, “Thad, what does this all mean and why does it matter?” Well, I’m glad you asked! This started as something completely meaningless, and for the most part still is, but I’ve learned something interesting throughout this little adventure. A goalie being named a star of the game is a pretty significant thing! I’ve also learned that I shouldn’t start working on something like this too late at night, otherwise I’ll stay up too late doing meaningless research and bothering @Spartan to help me figure it out. But, isn’t that the moral of the VHL story?

Anyways, I hope you’ve enjoyed this little project and I’m hoping to return to this at the end of the season and see how different the numbers are!

    3. It's been great, I really didn't expect to have this much success as a team this year. It has kept my interest in the league for sure.
    4. I think the hardest shot is the best event. Really just a measure of brute strength. Everyone should want to win the hardest shot.
    5. I would put more time into balancing the league. There is a VHL team who only has 3 wins so far this season. They are like almost 50 games into the season. That's ridiculous
    6. It's a tie between hockey and football. I do think hockey is more enjoyable to watch live, especially minor league hockey. Nothing beats $12 seats and cheap beer.
