The playoffs are a fun time, if your team is in the running. When you don't make the playoffs, the days are long and you have to dig deep to stay on course. Training is vital to success, many have chosen to take time off and not worry about becoming a better player. This is a very important time of the season to improve your skills. If you want to be a great hockey player in this league, you don't take time off, you work harder.
With my team in a rebuild, I look forward to the coming season as it will define our direction a bit more. We should have some young talent to add and a veteran player or two. The GM has a plan and all we can do is sit back and watch what happens.
Next season should bring some excitement to the team. Something that was lacking this season. I hope we draft self-driven players that knows what it takes to become great, not just take up a roster spot.
I see a big step forward in NY next season. I will be ready to play.
