Dilly Dilly got a reaction from foot fetish in Why I've Been Gone
While very few of you actually know who I am or that I even existed. I'd like to apologize to those that I have possibly let down, especially the Philadelphia Reapers team that ever so slightly missed out on the playoffs. For the New York Americans, who decided to draft me 53rd overall, I'm glad you didn't waste an earlier pick. What most of you don't know is that Zepheter is my brother, and he tried his hardest to keep me active here. We both took a break to start playing hockey around the beginning of summer. While he came back, a very close friend of mine passed away, which made it difficult for me to return. I'd rather not go into the specifics, as it is very personal to me. This is a shitty position because of all that happened throughout the duration of my inactivity. I missed out on a lot of major tasks such as theme week and other offseason point tasks that would've potentially helped boost my rating quite a bit. I'm looking forward to playing my last season with the Reapers and if I can muster the motivation to stay active, continue my career with New York. Hope to see many of you in the future.

Dilly Dilly got a reaction from Big Mac in Rookie Profile: Bud Knight [2/2]
    Bud Knight
    RW
    6'3"
    195 lbs.
    Left-handed

    Brief Biography:

Bud Knight was born on February 4th, 2018, just over a year ago. He isn’t the greatest athlete, and nor does he need to be. He’s spent the past year training to play hockey in the VHLM and hopefully the VHL. His game has progressed quicker than anybody would have expected, which makes him very enticing to pick up.

    Pros:

    Size and aggressiveness
It is to no surprise that Bud Knight is heavy, as he stands at 6’3” and always has a beer in his belly. He received coaching this past year to help him use his large frame to his advantage. Only time will tell how this will help him make an impact in the league. On the other hand, you will find him to be a bit more aggressive than most other players on the ice. This is mainly due to the fact that he is always borderline intoxicated and doesn’t really care who or what is in his way. Despite this, he tends to stay out of the penalty box more than one would expect.

    Play-making
Bud Knight is a pass-first player. He spent by far the most time working on his stick skills with some of the best coaches in the world. It wasn’t all that difficult for him to make plays in the offensive zone at a high level. There have been reports that it is just luck, and that he might be the luckiest ice hockey player in the world… especially when he is intoxicated. As stated before, only time will tell how his playmaking ability will develop.

    Defense and positioning
Despite his early struggles to remember where to go on the ice, he has made great progress since his days of carousing around the ice during his one-on-one training. He’s developed a strong presence on the ice. Whether that’s because of the fact that he wears a full suit of armor is the reason for that, or not. He has learned to manipulate opponents into doing what he wants them to, and finishes them off with an excellent stick or body check.

    Cons:

    Skating
Although he’s made excellent strides,- no pun intended- Bud Knight’s skating isn’t what it should be. He’s still far from the fastest guy out there. Even though he has such great positioning defensively, when he gets caught too far up the ice, he gets exposed severely. His skating needs more work than just about anything else in his game, but we must remember that he has only been alive for just over a year.

    Lacks sobriety
The benefits of being intoxicated while on the ice are far outweighed by the negatives. Regardless of the fact that he can drink a full keg with ease, his effectiveness and efficiency tends to drop near the end of the game because of it. Some of his past coaches recommend rationing his alcohol intake each period to ensure he doesn’t drink it all at once.

    Camaraderie
Bud Knight has never been that selfless teammate everybody wants. Yes, he is a passer, but he doesn’t really care who is scoring as long as he gets the point. He can’t lead a pen to a paper or follow a straight line, and he would rather regurgitate the beer he just drank than have a meaningful conversation with a teammate. In the end, if nobody speaks to him, the team usually does quite well.

    Conclusion:

There’s no saying how well Bud Knight will play and whether or not he will become a VHL(M) star, but we know this much: he will always have a belly full of Bud Light.

Truthfully, the Reapers are a whole step or two higher than the next closest team in Minnesota, but with some key trades or signings and tremendous growth, they could be challenged. Realistically, I don't see any of the hopeful teams standing a chance this season. They simply don't have the high end assets they need in order to compete in a playoff series against the top two contenders. They would have to pull of a miracle to make it work. I definitely see some of these teams leaning towards selling early, but teams like Ottawa or Halifax could and should be early buyers if they want to stand a chance this season. The rebuilding teams don't seem to be in any position to trade for better players, or many draft picks either. I have a hard time seeing most of them contending for the next couple season unless the GMs make uniquely successful decisions.

In hindsight I should've made it TPA for 201+ and TPE for 0-200 because it kinda screwed up the rankings and general outlook for some teams.

Dilly Dilly got a reaction from Renomitsu in Top Candidates for Skylar Rift Trophy
As we're already one game into the final series of the VHLM playoffs, there is a very tight running for the Skylar Rift Trophy. As I don't want to stretch this out, I'll get right into the statistics and state why each player might deserve the honor.

     Philadelphia Reapers

    Walter Clements
    C | 6'8" | 250 lbs.
    6G | 11A | 17P | +10
Clements currently leads all remaining players in point production this postseason. He is one of the most versatile players in the league. It shows up on both the stat sheet and might be the primary reason why Philly has had such an easy path to the finals. He's a clutch player that makes big time plays in the biggest moments, and he has proven that by contributing to nearly 14% of the Reapers' total points on his own.

    Bjorn Scoringsonn
    RW | 6'1" | 190 lbs.
    5G | 10A | 15P | +4
Scoringsonn was a very respectable top six player this regular season, but has found a match made in heaven with left winger, turned center, Dylan Doyle. He has shown he can play with and against the best players in the league at a high level. Despite having an assist-heavy postseason, he can put the puck in the net just as well. Scoringsonn joins Doyle and Tocco on the highest scoring line in Philadelphia, where they own just over 30% of the offensive contribution on the team.

    Dylan Doyle
    LW/C | 6'1" | 175 lbs.
    7G | 5A | 12P | +5
Doyle has had a tremendous breakout this postseason. He went from averaging 0.26 G/GP to 0.70 so far this playoffs. He's also increased his point per game percentage by a titanic 66%, for 1.2 P/GP during the postseason versus a measly 0.54. Doyle currently leads all remaining players in goals this postseason.

    Boone Jenton(D) - 3G | 9A | 12A | +4
    Kolur Bjoernsonn(G) - 9-1-0 | 0.904 SV% | 2.22 GAA

     Ottawa Lynx

    Blake Laughton
    LW | 6'3" | 229 lbs.
    6G | 10A | 16P | +10
Laughton has remained a consistent two way player throughout this postseason. Leading Ottawa in assists, points, and hits. Laughton and fellow star line mate, Martin, have a combined 31 points this post season, which is nearly 30% of the total scoring for the Lynx.

    Aston Martin
    C | 6'0" | 175 lbs.
    6G | 9A | 15P | +8
Martin is tied for the team lead in goals with Laughton. He has also played a significant role in Ottawa's puck possession, as he's responsible for winning around 55% of the faceoffs he has taken this postseason. He's not the largest guy on the ice by any means, so he tends to stay away from the gritty areas, but he is elusive and is a valuable playmaker for his team.

    Ambrose Stark
    D | 6'3" | 201 lbs.
    5G | 8A | 13P | +11
Stark has been by far the most versatile defenseman throughout this postseason. As a defenseman, he ranks in the top 10 in goals and assists, 8th in points, 1st in points by a defenseman, 1st in +/-, 2nd in shots blocks, and 5th in hits. There's no question he will be a deciding factor in every game he plays as the finals conclude within the next week.

    Pekka Pouta(G) - 8-1-1 | 0.907 SV% | 2.50 GAA
    Thomas Kennedy(C) - 5G | 7A | 12P | +3

There are clearly many bright spots on both of these teams, but I personally think it's Clements vs. Stark. Clements is almost guaranteed to get a point every game, and perhaps even more. Stark and Ottawa will have to shutdown not only Clements, but also the Reapers' second line which has been on fire all postseason.

    Walter Clements
    C | 6'8" | 250 lbs.

    Aston Martin
    C | 6'0" | 175 lbs.

Dilly Dilly got a reaction from NotAVHLM-GM in Bud Knight declares for VHLM draft
I couldn't believe it the first time I heard about it. Earlier this afternoon Bud Light released a statement that their very own Bud Knight has secretly been training for the Season 67 Victory Hockey League Minors Draft.

During an interview, President and CEO Michel Doukeris was ecstatic. He expressed that "it is an honor and privilege to unite world class hockey with our world class alcoholic beverage. We can't wait to see him battling on the ice, and I plan on hosting a draft party at our headquarters in St. Louis. Hopefully we won't be too drunk by the time he is selected." When asked how Bud Knight will fit into his gear, he said "we're currently working on a state of the art set of gear to fit over his armor. We'll provide updates on its status later."

With the league already growing in popularity each year, this will help it continue to trend in that direction by reaching out to an even larger market. When people think of Bud Light they will now think of the Victory Hockey League. Analysts estimate that the average viewership per game should increase by nearly quadruple.

I attempted to followup with Bud Knight, but he was unable to answer questions at the time because he was drinking.
