Spence King reacted to Dom in S77 Fantasy Zone - Week 2
S77 Fantasy Zone Week 2:
The rules are the same as always, 2 uncapped TPE for guessing the 4 winners and 3 uncapped TPE for guessing the score and the winner of the last game. The form closes when the first game has been simmed, which I expect to be at the end of this week. If you submit the form more than once, your last submission will be the one considered.
*The games for last week are not simmed yet, I made a beginner mistake (my bad) and selected games that were just a bit too far but expect them to be simmed tomorrow or Tuesday. I adjusted myself for this week and it should not happen anymore.

Spence King reacted to bigAL in S76 WJC Medal Ceremony and Awards Show
The Cheerleader Award
The Cheerleader Award is something I literally just invented because of the support and awareness needed to make this tournament successful. The Cheerleader Award is for the team who builds the best hype train, screams the loudest, and obsessively cares about the WJC. This year’s Cheerleader Award goes to the GM who made our tournament beautiful. This guy was all over the graphics, creating a tournament logo, some 🔥 team logos, and the medals that will be presented tonight. Your S76 Cheerleader Award winner is:

I can shout into the void all I want (and I do!) but you people listening, supporting the teams, hyping the games, and fighting in #trash-talk make this all matter. Thank you!

Spence King reacted to NSG in Weird Times In Vanny (For Tucker, That Is)
Well, in Season 75, Henry Tucker was drafted 26th overall by the Wolves. Who made those selections? @Beaviss & @Spence King. Flash forward 1 season, and Spence is AGMing San Diego, while Beav has resigned. So, now who’s the GM and AGM? @fonziGG and @Sixersfan594. So in just one season, no one who drafted Tucker is still around. Crazy, right? I still got the contract that they signed me to, though. However, I used all of it on a First Gen Reroll, so now I’m a much more effective player, and I have 70 in Fighting, so that’s good. I’d like to give a special shout-out to fonzi for not responding in enough time, so I could put down 70 for Fighting. But at least he woke up quickly enough to get my scoring to 98.
Speaking of scoring, in yesterday’s game against DC, something very special happened. Here’s Vancouver’s commentator, Play BiPlay.
“Ladrian skated up the ice, dumps it off to Adrienne, Adrienne finds Tucker streaking down the ice, wide-open! Tucker has a 1-on-1!!! Tucker shoots, Tucker scores! Goooooooalllllllll!!!! Henry Tucker’s first career goal in a Vancouver Wolves uniform as Vanny ties it up, 3-3!}
For the record, when I say “streaking down the ice”, I do not mean that Henry was skating on the rink without clothes on. Then, in the 2nd period, Tucker got another first.
”Adrienne’s behind the net. Quick pass to Tucker. Tucker Skates, and slides one through the defense to Su! Su jukes one defender, runs over another, fired a backhand and it!s goooood! Gooooooalllllll!!! Andrew Su with his 10th goal of the season and Henry Tucker has his first ever assist! And the Wolves take a commanding 6-3 lead!”
How inspiring. That’s it for today, bye.

Spence King reacted to OzNasty in Yukon Rush Press Conference!
1. I expect to step in and be a force on the blue line to help this club win some games.
2. I think we will fair very well this year. With a new addition to the point with JB, we can be a shutdown pair while our boys up front can put the puck in the net.
3. As I always say. A family picnic is a lot better than eating alone. Team success is what drives me.
4. They’re doing a fantastic job already. I’ve been in here for less than 24 hours and they’ve taken so much time to help me out already🙏 Amazing group here.
5. Catch Me If You Can.. best movie I’ve ever seen and I’m a movie buff. 100000/10
6. As many Junior Chickens & McDoubles I can get.

Spence King reacted to v.2 in Tui Sova - Junior Review
Age: 19
Position: D
Height: 75 in.
Weight: 210 lbs.
Birthplace: Fiji 🇫🇯
Early Life:
Born in Lautoka, Fiji, Sova’s home turf is the second largest city in Fiji. Famous for its sugar cane belts, Lautoka is often referred to as the “Sugar City”. Sova’s father was a Canadian working abroad in the tourism industry, and his mother was a local Fijian teacher. Before Tui’s first birthday the Sova family decided to move back to his fathers native country, Canada.
As the Sova family settled in Canada and Tui began to grow up, like any Canadian boy his love interest with the sport of hockey began to blossom. Sova was enrolled in minor hockey at the age of 5, and as he aged his obsessive personality helped him excel in almost every aspect of the game. One of Sova’s most memorable moments came in high school during an easter tournament in Calgary, he scored 4 goals from the point (all slappers) during a championship game. At this point, he had full on attention from college scouts.
Junior:
After high school, despite garnering attention from scouts in Canada, Tui Sova decided to take his talents abroad. His goal was to see other parts of the world and hopefully excel development by playing in the Swiss Junior Elite League (Jr. A). Sova’s first year went smooth despite the team missing the playoffs. Sova spent time on the team’s second D pairing but managed to finish the year strong as a top 2 defenceman.
His second year however, didn’t end up as planned after being sidelined early on in the season with a nagging left ankle injury. Sova was forced to miss almost all of his second year of junior, spending most of his time with Swiss doctors and ankle specialists attempting to rehab his foot. Despite the setback, by late offseason and after a summer spent home in Canada, Sova was ready to step back into a leadership role on his team in Switzerland and resume his career.
Tui knew he had to prove himself and make up for lost time in this final year of junior, as his main goal was to prepare for the VHLM and the VHL draft. His ankle injury was clearly a thing of the past as he was able to lead the league in minutes played with his club, and ranked among the top 5 defencemen in the league. The team missed the playoffs for the third consecutive season, but Sova was still able to retain his stock for VHLM scouts and finish the season strong.
VHLM:
Sova went back to Canada for another offseason where his agent took calls from VHLM teams. One team in particular was able to promise top pairing minutes, and seemed to have many pieces of exciting talent heading into the season. Tui Sova’s reality of becoming a VHL player has drawn closer this week as he just signed a free agent contract with the Mexico City Kings. The goal now is simple for Sova; improve his skating and puck handling abilities, and develop into a bonafide two-way defenceman.
