  1. So far there aren't any teams I really mind that are in on McKillop. You'd think that his brothers would have tried to get the Pitt execs in on him, but honestly I kind of knew that no matter how much I tried to stack the deck, Pitt simply wasn't a good enough football school to be in on recruiting for the types of players we're being built as here. Given that, as long as I avoided West Virginia, Penn St, and most of the SEC I was fine with it. Georgia (or "Red Bay") is one of the few SEC teams I don't mind, although I'm kind of pulling for Boise or Louisville.
  2. This one was on me.
  3. Joined League 2. Team is D-Won't.

  6. Good luck Boubabi
  7. I actually get this, although I'm not a "film guy" at all. I'm a "book guy" which in our society, is even worse for making me cringe at what people haven't read. However, as I have watched probably less than 20% of the movies in this thread (nor do I have any shame in saying so) I can see from other people's perspectives how it's reasonable for books as a medium not to interest them, just as movies as a medium don't interest me.
  8. Yeah, I didn't see the actual poll at the top and put the response here...
  9. Beat them by 1 in each period
  10. As long as you don't blame R specifically. I doubt R had anything to do with it, one way or the other.
  11. So Davos couldn't hit the Brookside of a barn the other night...
  12. I have teams I prefer in other leagues (Leverkusen, Levski Sofia are my next two) but Chelsea is and always will be my top.
  13. Calgary is the team right now who can beat anyone or lose to anyone. Well, maybe not Quebec...
  14. http://youtu.be/sEXHeTcxQy4 I actually kind of feel bad liking this song, since it's basically the Blackhawks' theme song, but it got me through 12+ miles of some of the most difficult terrain I've ever run on today, so that makes up for its poor choice in hockey team.
  15. BRINGING: I'll teach all the guys some poker before the party, then if strip poker comes up, the dates will be at a disadvantage.... My date (who, coincidentally, will be B& from any strip poker games because she'd win, she'd even kick my ass and I'm good): Liv Boeree

  20. Martin Brookside, mango
  21. Martin Brookside, goaltender for the Calgary Wranglers, was on his way to the rink when he noticed the manager of the rink's gift shop chasing down a guy who had stolen something. Brookside ran directly into the guy, knocking both over. The alleged thief got up first, but did so in such a hurry that he was still dazed, and so he only got about five feet before falling over again. Brookside got up next, fully cognizant, and grabbed the guy by the shirt. He tried to slide out under the shirt but Brookside was having none of it and reached under to grab the guy by the side, under the arm. By this time, the guy chasing had caught up to them, and they cornered the thief into the wall where his pant legs were lifted up to reveal merchandise that had been hidden in the band of his socks. Brookside got banged up a little in the scrap, just some minor cuts so it's nothing worse than he's seen on the ice after every game, but this isn't his usual context. Still, he went right to practice and the trainers cleaned out the wounds before sending him out onto the ice.
  22. This guy knows the difference between formally and formerly
  23. What Devise said. You've knocked your player a lot, but you're actually pretty substantial, and honestly you're the piece I was most happy with getting in the trade. Sure, a lot of that is the fact that you've got farther to go before retiring, but you've earned TPE pretty well so far and you're not too far over the peak of the team. PIMs to Playoff MVP? Who knows...
