It was Jericho's idea, except Boubs and Edgar actually did the podcast instead of just playing the game and saying random things when prompted.

1) What game would you like to see us play (free is ideal)? Football Manager 12, but it's not free, so I'll go with the Cat Launching one. 2) Would you like to play with us? If so, please leave your Steam ID/something to identify you Yes, will give you my steam ID tomorrow 3) Would you like to be included in the vodcast? (note that we may only include one other person so things do not become hectic. In a later episode however, we may experiment with a free-for-all style podcast). Yes

PA has only recently agreed to allow beer and wine sales in grocery stores, any other alcohol must be purchased at "Wine and Spirits" owned by the state. About a year ago, wine was at the same, and beer was only at beer distributors, who weren't allowed to sell a whole lot else.

Chris: Devise was right, I wasn't necessarily looking for Landry. I asked you about Kellinger when I didn't know about his season, then I looked at his season and STOPPED ASKING ABOUT HIM. You do know that I didn't continue asking past the one time. I liked Yuma's season because it's the same as my own, and I think our window is basically until the end of my career. I guess I wouldn't have minded an S35 guy (have two of them already) but I was never really intending this to be the season, and I like the S36 players because they line up with our entire window. As for the trade: Coach wanted S40 Riga 1st and S40 NYA 2nd for Yuma. I already had the S40 NYA 2nd in discussions with Boubabi (which ended up happening, and got me Kravinen) so I couldn't do that. He initially said that it would be fine to swap it out to another 2nd in another year, but then dangled Landry in an attempt to try to get the S40 2nd. I still couldn't deal it because it was still in talks. The jump to Landry seemed, to me, like closing the window on the Riga 1st and other year 2nd. It may not have been, but it seemed like it. I then jumped to the S42 CGY 1st thinking that given the depth of the S40 draft, it might be comparable to the S40 NYA 2nd (and if it was slightly better, then Landry offset it, if Coach's established price on Yuma was S40 Riga 1st and S40 NYA 2nd, which I don't think I'd have done for just Yuma). Yuma also wanted to come back to Calgary as recently as days before the trade. (Also, Coach kept saying the deal had to get done that day, which may or may not have been an intentional tactic, but it limited my options). Basically, IF the S40 Riga 1st and S40 NYA 2nd was going to be the price, THEN the S40 Riga 1st and the S42 CGY 1st would also be a similar price, but the first part was too much, so the second part continued to be too much. I do think it's a bit of an overpay in hindsight but not as bad as you guys make it seem (especially Chris, but Devise's song was over the top too, weird to think that Jericho was the most tame) and there have been worse deals that you haven't harped as heavily on, whether this season or other seasons (potentially because it's me and it's fun, which it is). On the whole though, you guys know I can take it and while it might bug me, I'll still be listening to each one of these. I'd also like to hear your opinions on the Erikson deal which happened after the recording of this podcast. It's a good deal, so it'll probably get about 2 seconds of airtime.

The rebuild is fully over now, and the Calgary Wranglers (who just seasons ago had nothing, no picks no players, a fully empty war chest) are built. It might not be prime S23 Calgary or anything, but this team is on the up and up. First, let's start from the back. Martin Brookside has been a shit goalie, as have all of the players from the diamond_ace agency, but he's at about 600 TPE now and really should stop being shit this season. The biggest reason Brookside should finally stop being shit is that he now has four quality defensemen in front of him. Tony Stark and Edwin Encarnacion were here last season, but they can't do everything on their own, so Godavari Yumalatopinto returns to the Wrang, and Sami Kravinen rounds out the group. It's good to have some depth on the team, especially with Encarnacion doubling as the enforcer and giving the team a vital source of PIMs. Up top we have Calgary wonder man, Travis Boychuk. This guy has been the face of the rebuild the whole way and was the biggest steal of his draft. Giygas, a good veteran center, will be along for the ride in his final season and looks to play a vital role for the team, as does Thomas Landry in his farewell tour. The up and comers, Lukas Nykvist and Andrew Niklas Erikson, will build into the team and develop into just the players needed to replace Giygas and Landry. This leaves the team with five forwards, four defensemen, and two million in cap space - will we see something soon? In the pipeline are MF Percy Miller, Marcus Hurley, Superbman, Sepp Reiter, and Chase White. Miller is the nearest to VHL ready of these, but will continue to season his skills in the VHLM. The team hopes to have him come up next season to replace one of the retirees, but his progress will not be rushed and if he isn't ready, he will be able to stay down yet again. Marcus Hurley has been a quick riser and may also end up in the VHL next season if he keeps it up, and the same was true for Superbman a few weeks back although he's slowed considerably. Reiter and White are two lottery ticket type selections, but Reiter has been in contact with the team since the draft and looks to have some sort of promise going forward. The same can't be said for White.

Why go into professional hockey if you're not going to use it to your advantage? (If I suspected you'd get the joke, I'd have said "use it to your Chris" but that's probably something you haven't been around long enough to figure out)

We'll... drive over you?

Figured. I was 12th of 14, went on a little run in the consolation playoffs, was hoping it bumped me to 2 instead of 1. Oh well

I'll be joining just not from my phone

Do the consolation playoffs do anything?

First Calgary pick was 21st, nothing to regret here

I'm 3-0 in a league, 2-1 in three other leagues including my money league, 1-1-1 in one, an in VHL league... 0-3. This is despite having the 9th most points scored out of 20. Can I not get everyone else's best week?
