Alex 3,199
1 D.C. Dragons FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY Analfist @STZ RW TPE: 392 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 72 50 50 100 43 408 26 137 39 S87 Playoffs 17 9 7 16 7 74 14 36 6 Welcome back to the VHL, John Frostbeard! His return to the general management game couldn't start better with the first overall pick to build around, and we believe that Ottawa Lynx forward FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY Analfist is that player. In a draft class heavy with defensemen, Frostbeard decides to go with the consensus top forward available. Analfist scored 100 points, with 50 goals and 50 assists complimenting his well-rounded game. The S87 first overall pick in the VHLM also scored 16 points in 17 playoff games to help Ottawa win the Founder's Cup. On top of his success on the ice, Analfist is the latest player from STZ, a dedicated and loyal member who is absolutely ideal to build around. Frostbeard's return to the VHL couldn't be off to a better start. 2 Vancouver Wolves Jacob Stone @scoop D TPE: 417 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 72 28 55 83 31 254 79 137 168 S87 Playoffs 7 2 1 3 -1 24 6 14 25 Frank Funk has been facing a lot of scrutiny lately, so the pressure is on to hit with the second overall pick, so what does he do? Trade it to Frank Chadwick and the Vancouver Wolves on the eve of the draft, of course! There is no pipeline whatsoever for Vancouver, but selecting Jacob Stone immediately changes that. The top-earner in the draft class had a successful season in the VHLE with the Vasteras Iron Eagles, showing his two-way skills racking up 83 points and blocking 168 shots, and the Wolves' cap space suggests he will be playing another season there. Stone is the type of player that can immediately give Vancouver a jump-start on revamping their blue line, and is a no-brainer pick for the Wolves at #2. 3 Toronto Legion Mark Calaway @Beketov D TPE: 353 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 72 27 48 75 -1 220 52 126 94 S87 Playoffs 5 3 2 5 -2 21 2 10 8 Year Two of Mooner's rebuild begins, and even with the misfortune of dropping to the third overall pick in the Draft Lottery, he's still primed to get exactly what he wants: a blue liner capable of protecting franchise goaltender Joel Castle for years to come. Mark Calaway is the perfect addition for the Legion here, and although Toronto will need more defensemen, the massive American defender is as good a start as you can get. He scored 75 points with the Halifax 21st in the VHLM, showing off his well-rounded playing style. Additionally, as the latest player from Beketov, Calaway is as much of a sure thing in the VHL as there is. The only real question mark for Calaway is whether he'll go to Toronto right away or spend a season in the VHLE first. 4 New York Americans Jesper Davis @Josh C TPE: 340 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 72 35 43 78 7 316 58 118 31 S87 Playoffs 14 6 8 14 -5 80 6 26 14 Thadius Sales and the New York Americans have an aging core, and nothing really to get excited for in their prospect pool. He'll fix that by adding the top center in the draft in Jasper Davis, the first piece of the next generation in New York. The Americans have the cap space to play him immediately, but I imagine he'll have a season in the VHLE first to develop further. His build so far is very balanced, and he has developed at a very consistently high pace, but I believe Davis isn't quite where he needs to be to make an immediate impact in New York, at least not right away. Regardless, Jasper Davis will soon be the face of this franchise. 5 Prague Phantoms Bobby Bob @Baby Boomer D TPE: 366 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 72 30 82 112 12 253 54 119 124 S87 Playoffs 12 2 14 16 2 44 8 17 21 After a dramatic retool this offseason, Prague enters the draft in prime position to begin their new era of prospects by adding the best one available to them. After a long and successful previous career, culminating in an incredible final season, Baby Boomer returns with Bobby Bob, and has needed no time to adjust. Bobby Bob could potentially join Prague's roster this season and will surely be a part of Prague's ever-impressive defensive core for a long time. Prague will need cheaper depth as they hope to overcome a competitive EU conference and give themselves the extra edge to establish themselves as a perennial contender. 6 Malmo Nighthawks Moritz Stauffer @GoodLeftUndone D TPE: 330 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 72 17 52 69 -2 183 82 154 104 S87 Playoffs 5 0 4 4 -2 18 0 8 8 Malmo made what looks to be a wise decision to tear down and begin the rebuild in Malmo. Picking up a ton of picks and prospects for their core players has accelerated the process immensely. Building from the bottom up, Malmo elects to select Stauffer, an established affiliate member, with Auto-12, making them an incredibly reliable and safe option to lead them for seasons to come. GLU is a great presence in the locker room, and with connections to affiliate members, he has a lot of positive influence. An excellent pick for both vibes and talent. Also of note, our first first-gen off the board! 7 Chicago Phoenix Merome Dilson @MexicanCow123 G TPE: 354 Season GP W L OTL SV% GAA SO GA SA S87 Regular Season 67 45 16 6 0.91 2.58 3 173 1926 S87 Playoffs 12 6 5 0 0.881 3.41 0 36 302 One of the few picks we all agreed upon. With rumours of Cole Pearce leaving Chicago, and Shindigs having sadly disappeared, Chicago will be looking to rebuild their back end from scratch. Merome Dilson is by far the best goalie available in the draft, and with most teams struggling with an overabundance of goaltending, Dilson and Chicago seem like a perfect fit. We will see whether Dilson elects to play in the VHL or VHLE this season, as I can not imagine being an underdeveloped rookie starting goaltender in the league will provide a huge amount of personal success for Dilson, but getting established in the VHL and helping build the culture in Chicago could be an intriguing prospect. 8 New York Americans Francesco Mancini @GioSivo LW TPE: 278 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 72 30 38 68 17 311 32 116 12 S87 Playoffs 4 5 4 9 -4 73 10 26 3 Our first player that should be pretty well guaranteed to be playing in the VHLE this season, in Mancini. New York is another team that simply needs to add as much value as they can with each pick, regardless of position. With an aging group of forwards and defenders, new blood will be key to turning the ship around. Mancini has the potential to be a cornerstone piece for a franchise, and with careful cultivation, and a bit of good old fashioned organized crime, the Italian should have no problem finding a good home in New York. 9 Helsinki Titans Gregger McKeggegger @TheNeonShaman LW TPE: 267 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 72 62 62 124 52 481 32 145 48 S87 Playoffs 17 10 14 24 14 122 16 32 8 Coming in at ninth on the list is Gregger McKeggegger (trying saying that name three times fast). McKeggegger spent his season in the M where he was apart of the cup winning squad, the Ottawa Lynx. McKeggegger ended up putting up 62 goals and 62 assists, good for 124 points and also a +52 on the season, absolute insanity for offensive production. Another forward to add to the prospect pool and at perfect time, as Helsinki will need to replace two forwards in a couple of seasons. 10 Moscow Menace Owen Lazaro @traphag LW TPE: 239 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 72 37 54 91 15 357 70 173 62 S87 Playoffs 7 2 1 3 -3 21 2 17 6 The first of the double digits as Owen Lazaro we have going to the Msocow Menace. Owen Lazaro had a great season in the M with the Marauders, where he put up 37 goals and 54 assists, which notched him 91 points on the season. He did struggle a bit in the playoffs, but still a very solid regular season will have him drafted in the first round. He'll be joining the squad in a couple of seasons where a forward spot will open up for Moscow, and that's where Owen Lazaro will slide into the lineup! 11 Los Angeles Stars Liv Slater @Subject056 D TPE: 220 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 72 5 35 40 8 95 56 152 99 S87 Playoffs 12 4 6 10 2 32 2 23 19 Liv Slater has really come into their own recently, following a average season with Houston, where they posted 5 goals and 35 assists for 40 points in 72 games, Slater's play went to a different level in the playoffs where they had 10 points in 12 games before being eliminated in the 2nd round. Los Angeles is looking to improve thir defensive core for the foreseeable future and Slater would be a great first piece to bring in, as they will be VHL ready as early as S89. 12 Helsinki Titans Legacy Gaming @Gaming Ringleader RW TPE: 232 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 72 28 47 75 0 350 39 92 13 S87 Playoffs 12 9 10 19 -2 58 4 22 2 Legacy Gaming is back with a new player, this time bringing in a forward to the VHL. Legacy Gaming played with Houston in the M this season, where he put up 28 goals and 47 assists, good for 75 points on the season. Legacy will be a great addition to Helsinki, as they're going to be losing two forwards due to retirement soon. By the time that they retire, Legacy Gaming should be able to make that step to the VHL and slot right in for Helsinki! 13 Calgary Wranglers Rip Wheeler @ScottyP LW TPE: 204 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 72 30 47 77 4 313 97 194 24 S87 Playoffs 5 1 3 4 -5 18 12 22 3 Rip Wheeler has the potential to be one of if not the biggest steal in this draft, they have been improving at a fast pace since joining the VHLM's Las Vegas Aces as a waiver signing and impressively posted 30 goals and 47 assists this season to finish 5 points above a point per game. Wheeler is a can't miss prospect and any team that takes him will likely strike gold. 14 Riga Reign Mason Rice @Sawyer13 LW TPE: 210 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 72 11 21 32 15 137 50 140 22 S87 Playoffs 14 1 5 6 0 30 10 23 6 One of the more intriging prospects in this draft, Mason Rice shows real potential as a two-way forward of the future. This past season with San Diego in the VHLM, Rice posted a very solid 11 goals and 21 assists for 32 points in 72 games. Rice also plays a very complete game and isn't afraid to play the body as they recorded 140 hits and 22 blocks this season. With Riga already having a very solid defensive core, Rice would be the perfect pick for them if he is available at 14. 15 Riga Reign McDonalds BigMac @ryf87 RW TPE: 200 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 52 12 27 39 14 144 22 71 8 S87 Playoffs 7 1 4 5 -1 22 4 11 4 Coming in part way through the season, BigMac only appeared in 52 regular season games for Miami. In those games they produced well, posting 12 goals and 27 assists for 39 points, a very solid first season. BigMac will likely need to develope for 2 more seasons before making the jump to the VHL, but they show real promise and the sky is the limit for this young prospect. 16 Calgary Wranglers Nils Andersson @Viper RW TPE: 204 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 49 23 26 49 9 191 24 82 15 S87 Playoffs 17 8 6 14 9 67 6 18 7 Coming off of playing an integral role in Ottawa's Founder's Cup victory, Andersson posted 14 points in 17 games in the playoffs, 8 of which were goals. Andersson looks to be a solid offensive option for just about any team, producing at a rate just below 1 goal every 2 games. Calgary is nearing the end of their big 3 offensive options, and brining in Andersson would give them a solid replacement for when the sun sets on their current roster. 2ND ROUND 17 Toronto Legion Alex DeLuca @Deluca D TPE: 162 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 38 3 13 16 31 36 58 80 60 S87 Playoffs 17 2 8 10 -2 20 14 49 29 18 London United Alex Carlson @Dack C TPE: 190 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 34 5 9 14 -2 55 18 52 8 S87 Playoffs 12 2 5 7 0 20 4 20 1 19 Los Angeles Stars Tarro Tsujimoto @Taro Tsujimoto C TPE: 164 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 72 25 31 56 -1 203 42 93 24 S87 Playoffs 5 3 3 6 -1 28 0 14 6 20 New York Americans Dank Turtle @DankTurtle C TPE: 181 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 58 10 28 38 6 107 18 74 3 S87 Playoffs 17 2 7 9 -7 42 10 35 3 21 HC Davos Dynamo Tord Yvel @Trazan D TPE: 161 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 22 1 12 13 5 16 28 42 35 S87 Playoffs 5 1 0 1 -1 3 8 16 8 22 London United Eurydyka Sklodowska Dudzinska @diamond_ace D TPE: 153 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 72 14 50 64 -6 158 118 230 169 S87 Playoffs 5 2 2 4 -5 10 6 10 8 23 Chicago Phoenix BjorkaBjorn BjornaBjorkson @JardyB10 RW TPE: 339 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 72 13 13 26 20 235 59 146 7 S87 Playoffs 11 3 5 8 5 43 12 32 3 24 Warsaw Predators Olivier Gauthier @fonziGG G TPE: 155 Season GP W L OTL SV% GAA SO GA SA S87 Regular Season 72 39 25 7 0.89 2.71 3 194 1757 S87 Playoffs 14 7 6 1 0.897 2.66 1 42 406 25 Malmo Nighthawks Justin Williams @JCV LW TPE: 150 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 72 31 63 94 24 285 24 121 59 S87 Playoffs 17 9 16 25 8 69 16 27 5 26 Moscow Menace Tullemore Dew @Spade18 C TPE: 149 Season GP G A P (+/-) SHT PIM HITS SB S87 Regular Season 72 35 43 78 -17 351 48 125 60 S87 Playoffs 5 1 2 3 -7 18 0 5 5 27 D.C.
