Both proven members making great players. 2. USA. They have a ton of talent. I can't say enough about their backup goaltender. 3. I'd probably say Davos or something. A bunch of a top teams last season seem to have older players on their roster. It'll be interesting to see who makes those moves. 4. As a goalie, I just want to have better stats than last season. Higher SV%, lower GAA. 5. I think we'll make the playoffs again for sure. This past season felt like an anomaly. 6. I like basically everyone. Gorlab would be fun to have on board. Beketov, Devise, etc would be cool as well. Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/69105-dc-dragons-press-conference/page/15/#findComment-761926 Share on other sites

I don't keep up with the rest of the teams, but I'm thinking it's Vancouver. 4. What are your personal goals for your player next season? Just to keep up with the younger guys and keep contributing. 5. What are your expectations for DC as a team, can we make playoffs? Establish ourselves as a contender? Definitely making the Playoffs after last year's skid. Last year I feel like it was a total abnormality. 6. If you could bring any member into DC, which one would you bring? KC15 340
1. Who do you think should the Dragons select with their first overall pick? To be honest, I leave that for the GMs with no kibbutzing from me. 2. Which Nation do you think will win the World Cup this offseason? Western Europe. Lesieur will be leading goal scorer. 3. Which team do you think will make the biggest off-season changes? By default, the four expansion teams. From no team to guys on the ice! 4. What are your personal goals for your player next season? At least another 30 goal season. Would be better to reach 40. 5. What are your expectations for DC as a team, can we make playoffs? Establish ourselves as a contender? Of course we can make the playoffs. No idea why we didn't this season. 6. If you could bring any member into DC, which one would you bring? I think we should take someone who can help our team to score more goals than we are allowing the other team to score on us. 2. I sure don't think it'll be World, but I hope I can make an impact if I'm selected! 3. I think the biggest offseason change will have to be happening with one of the expansion teams . I'll give London's McWolf guy the job to do that. 4. My personal goals for my player is to score more points and have more assists, while also not allowing myself to lose games 5. I expect DC to bounce back and make the playoffs this year, the young core is still in its prime, we got this. Win one for Mikko! 6. I think it could be fun to bring my longtime other life teammate Sonnet into DC, especially because his player is pretty good at scoring goals and we need players like that Enorama 1 Link to comment https://vhlforum.com/topic/69105-dc-dragons-press-conference/page/15/#findComment-762854 Share on other sites

What is one thing your player focused on this offseason? 6. What is one purchase your player made during this offseason? 1. BigAl is a great pick. Lots of TPE, looks to be a great up and coming forward. I think there's some guidance that could be done to his player build, but he's got high DF already which is great stepping into the VHL. Needs more SC though. 2. This draft was a very deep one. There's going to be a lot of looking back at this draft to see which players earned more TPE than others, so it's definitely a tough one. For DC, I think if we get our later picks to be more active again, then they'll be steals for sure. 3. I think we have a good chance to be top 5. We have a top forward and defenseman both hovering around 1000 TPE, so that's a great start. Combine them with the depth guys and we're set. I feel like last season was an anomaly. 4. Wolski has been at training camp with the Washington Capitals, who have started training camp after quarantine. 5. I've been working on rebounding and style control. I think those areas are super important for a goalie. 6. I bought some new pads! Kekzkrieg 160
1. How would you rate DC's draft day? I think we killed it picking up a great forward with an awesome future ahead of him, he'll make his way in the lineup with ease. 2. Who do you think was the steal of the S73 VHL Draft? Again, it was a super draft so an easier question would be who did not grab a steal. I think the real teller will be who's active or not. 3. With the current roster, how do you think DC will do this upcoming season? I think we'll fair much better than last season *fingers crossed* I'm still convince that we were just super unlucky and fortune will favor us more this coming season. 4. Where has your player been training and how often? Valentino spent some time at home at his local rink, trying to shake off the rust that comes with depreciation but he's back in D.C. now putting in work whenever he can. 5. What is one thing your player focused on this offseason? How to better position himself to help out his netminder, help make it easier for Wolski while more difficult for the opponent. 6. What is one purchase your player made during this offseason? We’ll need help in our forward lines and I’m sure he’ll be doing wonders for us. 2. Hard to say. It was a very deep class coming into the new season. Anyone could end up being a steal depending on how much work they do. Only time will tell. 3. Honestly on paper we should’ve been a far better team than we were. So this season I can see us atleast being better than the last season. 4. I headed back north to my hometown in Ontario. Spent a good portion with my trainer in the gym and on the ice. I’d say about 5 days out of the week for about 4-6 hours a day. 5. Just sharpening my skills. I’ve been getting older so I’m trying to remain at my similar level of not better 6. He might been first overall, but the value we were able to get was superb 3. I think we have a chance to compete, a lot of teams are under cap stress which we really didn't have to deal with, unfortunately, because we lost Guy 4. My player doesn't disclose his training regime, mostly because it isn't a very good one, flamingos don't practice flying 5. I've been grinding like I always do. Max TPE since the start of Graves' career. 3. They all look cool, pretty interesting locations. Really like all the GM's they chose, would definitely play in any of those places. 4. Not in our current form. I think we are relying on a lot of players developing quickly if we want to compete this year. I was hoping that we would be a contending team before I hit depreciation but with losing Washington and Lesieur I think we move back a couple seasons in that aspect. 5. I do like the Phoenix logo better than LA's for sure. Should be some great up and coming teams in the future. 4. I do. We just need to find our stride. Even more so because I feel as though I’ve regressed from my former self 3. I think it was a dope idea to expand. We are very inconsistent, and it's hard to determine why. I suppose there's more parity in the league. But it just seems crazy we can't get wins on some of the expansion teams. 2. I think the fact the Boris is still a plus player is pretty impressive. Overall I think we have been pretty lackluster as a forward core. 3. The D-core has been pretty solid. I think our rookie Flaten has been the most surprising with his strong numbers. Valentino has been the strongest for sure. 4. I think we need help up front. The chemistry just isn't there. I'm not sure how we would manage a trade from a cap perspective; because honestly if we were going to load up on forwards we would have made a bigger effort to keep Lesieur on the team. I know we don't want to sit around and miss playoffs, but it's a tough reality knowing that our players are improving week-by-week in the TPE category. Patience also could be the answer. 5. I think he is for sure. I think he's been a little shaky at times, but he's still young and will improve. 6. The Americans really loaded up this year. I think they have a really strong roster, will be hard for any team to beat them 4 times in 7 games.. For certain, consistency like playing all out one game then disappearing in others. Maybe it's a stroke of last season's bad luck following us but I know we're better than this. 2. Boris is out there playing to win, I think a lot of us need that kind of drive to get us out of this funk. 3. I think overall, we're doing great for D. Flaten is doing the dirty work in blocking shots and Drumm is out there laying the smackdown on our oppenents. 4. I don't think a trade is necessary, I think we have the tools to be great. It's just a matter of how we can best mesh and build solid chemistry with one another. 5. Most definitely, I wouldn't point any fingers his way in all this cause he's holding it down for us the best he can. 6. I'd say Americans.
