I would just say something like 3 EXP for completing a season in the VHLM / E would make 0 difference overall and could be seen as a nice engagement thing. I don't think we need to complicate with bonuses for playoffs or anything however.

Which I'm all for, I think it would also make contract negotiations actually be a lot more fun. Cause at least to me just getting sent the standard ELC of 3m 1m 1m with 0 room for negotiation wasn't exactly a "fun and engaging" experience. Now, if you can't add bonuses after the fact. You actually have to sit down with your GM and look at what role you're expected to play for the team during that ELC and what salary structure fits that. It adds risk on the side of GMs, sure. But giving above minimum value on contracts *should* have risk attached, which the current system doesn't.

All lines will need to be submitted to me by using the Team Management section of the portal. Please make sure to grab the most recent client file before setting your lines up! Also ensure you have the most up to date version of the STHS Client (I believe it's version 3.3.6 at the moment). Waivers and trades will be processed before each sim so PLEASE ensure you update your lines to remove traded players and are messaging me your waiver placements. If trades result in invalid lines and I have no instructions, I will be using the partial auto generated lines to fix it.
 
Please keep all communication about your lines in Discord DMs.

There has been a lot of talk generated by @Tate's article over the last 24 hours. I am not here to dispute, refute, or agree(fute - damn my need for alliteration), the article. Rather, I would like to shed some light on why I stay in the VHL, if for no other reason than it's a good topic to give me my sweet TPE.
 
No Commitments- @Ricer13doesn't need to shit himself here, but there's nothing stopping me from walking away at any point. I am a recent new dad and will some weeks find it difficult to get all my point tasks in. This is a league for recreation and so the vast majority of people will always understand that irl comes first. In my prime, I did a lot for the league. I enjoyed the platform and wanted to give back to the community. I was rewarded by being inducted into the HoF as a builder - by far the bigger honour the league has bestowed on me. But now, I feel like I can just sit back and relax and enjoy the league how I want to. 
 
The Community - whether there are toxic or inattentive members here, I won't comment on, but this is a very large community and it's got some fantastic people in it. I choose who I interact with to enhance my enjoyability from the league. I've been with this league for well over a decade so I have had relationships with some members for a very long time. That definitely keeps me coming back.
 
The History - 12 (13 now?) years is a long time to be part of something. I have grown up with the league, as the league has with me. I've watched members graduate high school, college, get married, have kids. Even if it's not on a very personal level, I have a deep connection with the league and its members. I try to make the VHL the place I want it to be and see what I want - encouraging, welcoming, compassionate. I try to pay that forward with all my interactions.

Well a message from me but I’ll try to include what’s going on as best I know for everyone so that you guys are aware.
 
First off, I know not a lot happened in here the last couple of seasons. That’s on us really more than you all and I apologize for it. You all know I had a kid 2.5 months ago and have been around but hit or miss on being able to handle large stuff since. @Josh is in a similar boat now, or will be very soon I’m not sure which. This is why I took the backup simmer role last season and he has it this season, we were trying to break up the thing we were most needed for on a daily basis. Anyway, @Acydburn was obviously brought in but does have some family related things to deal with that I’ll let him discuss if he so chooses to, that’s not my place.
 
Anyway, I have gone through and tried to at least add my 2 cents if not “finalize” the more or less active discussions going on in here. I’m hoping to be able to announce them by the off season if not sooner when applicable so if somehow there’s something to add on be my guest but I think most things were waiting for us.
 
So yeah, sorry, we’ll try and do better. You all keep being your amazing selves and don’t let us get complacent. Just know that life is a bit hectic so we’re around but major overhaul changes have been pushed kinda to lower priority than just keeping the lights on kinda duties.

I never thought I’d be here… I never thought I’d make a month, 3 months, a year.. like I did.. I knew I could.. but I would have bet on me failing.  It was a super good feeling to go through this and see all of my words and all of the updates over the last while! I’m so proud I made it to another cool milestone.. thanks for being part of the journey. The words in here have of course helped too!  

Well sir @Banackock you have inspired me and as I work towards my goal of playing pro football, I want in on this challenge. I’ve always had a drinking problem and have been semi addicted to weed for the last 6 months. So I hope you don’t mind me popping in here with a post but I’m hoping that publicly posting this can keep me extra motivated!
