  2. Interviewer: Here we are with Michael Johnson of the Halifax 21st. Give us your thoughts on the series with the Ottawa Lynx. Michael Johnson: Honestly, we battled every night and so did they. I know we got swept but to be honest they were really tight battles and 3 out of the 4 games were in OT. They had the fight and the determination on levels we didn’t have I suppose. Good luck to them in the finals. Interviewer: Is there anything you want to say to the 21st fans considering this will be the last time you may have played for them? Michael Johnson: Yes, I want to say I’m deeply sorry we couldn’t give you guys the chance to hoist the cup with us, this year we’re disappointed but I think the guys in the locker room are already preparing for next year. I do want to say that we have such incredible fans, staff and a great group of guys and I just want to say thank you to everyone for helping me develop. The 21st will forever be in my heart. Thank you and lets go 21st! Interviewer: Thank you and good luck to you on your next challenge.

  8. 06/18/2019 Today marks the day on the calendar that we’ve all been waiting for. It’s our first game against the Marlins in the playoffs. I’ve been growing restless and I know the rest of the guys have been. Training has been ramped up this week; we’re working harder, getting stronger and demanding our bodies to give it all. There’s this unprecedented hunger in the room that I can’t even put into words. In the weight lifting area, everyone is lifting with anger in their eyes. Meek Mill and Tory Lanez have been playing on repeat due to the shouting nature they have in their songs (I swear I’m not the DJ). I hope we do well, I’m not nervous at all but I think if we can perform the way I know we can then we’ll be an absolute cracker of a team this playoffs. I spoke to my mom this morning and she’s been so encouraging and confident. She and my Dad have both been so enthusiastic and determined that I get my first adult league trophy. They’ve been waiting a very long time for this, since I put on a set of skates on. I’m working extra hard for them. I think this might be Halifax’s last season to compete although I’ve been wrong in the past. People have been underestimating us this season yet we came second. We started off slow but improved as the season went on. Even though we have home ice advantage and came second in the VHLM, we feel like we have something to prove. It’s not even like there is pressure that we’re putting on ourselves. Well, maybe it is, but I’m not taking it that way. I look back at some of my best games this season and I have to get into that zone. I remember my warm up before playing Canada earlier this season where I got 47 saves on 48 shots. I’m ready to upset people, I’m ready to make some saves and push Halifax deep into the playoffs. I’m ready to win a fricken cup for this city. The people of Halifax have so much faith in us, I just can’t believe how incredible this city has been. I was just at the gas station this morning, filling gas and every single one of the attendants were wishing us luck and telling me to train super hard. I realized then and there that the cup was more for the fans than us. They’ve been so diligent and patient. Imagine going to multiple finals in a row and lose. This is for them as well. I shared my story and thoughts with the team and they agreed. We’re dedicating this playoff hunt to the fans, to the people who work hard everyday and watch us to get away from the daily struggle. This is for the staff, the coaches, the organization. This is to everyone in Halifax, I’m dedicating myself for Halifax this offseason. Lets go 21st!
  9. Rip. Good luck man. I wish you the best in your career and the rest of your circumstances. You seemed like a cool guy so it'll be sad to see you leave
  10. Michael Johnson's thoughts on his first season in the VHLM: For my first year, I definitely was terrible at the VHLM level but my WJC was insane. I ended this season with 25 wins, .874% and 3.02 GAA. Granted I had 3 shutouts which was way more than I expected. I’ve got to be better in the playoffs, at this point I wouldn’t even be expecting to start but I hope I’m given the opportunity. I need to ball out this post season and make an impression on this draft. For positives, I got to say that I went from just a young kid into a man this season. We split starts but I’m so confident in my abilities, its incredible. Yeah, I played badly but I believe in myself enough to rebound nicely in the post season. Our first series is against the Marlins and they’re definitely a fantastic team so if I get the start, I’ll have to be on my game. Lets go the 21st.
  11. Granted theres practice, yoga and cardio sessions also included in his training schedule. Plus I need things to write about
  12. 1. What is the best VHLM Logo, why? Not ours sadly. Has to go to Houston. All the colours are nice. 2. What is the best VHL logo, why? Seattle Bears. The bear looks cute 3. What would you pick as Halifax's mascot? A boat captain!!! Would be dope! 4. What is our team pre-game ritual? Talk shit about Mexico City 5. What is our team post-game ritual? Continue to talk shit about Mexico City 10. Worst topping for a pizza? Mexico Ci.... Ahem... Pineapples.
  13. You forgot about the goalies Thorvald is staying with Halifax and I'll most likely be heading into the VHL
  14. 6/15/2019 I woke up at 4:50 am, as usual, and had an espresso. Reason I have one of these is for the quik convenience. Also, I love nespresso. I got ready and packed my bag for the day. I know today is going to be a long day at the training facility. I hopped in my car and popped on that new Drake song with Rick Ross (Money In The Grave) and some Tory Lanez and bumped over to training. At this point, I’m super hype due to Tory Lanez shouting at me in the car. I get into my locker, and put my stuff away. I grab my phone and headphones and head out to the squat rack. Typically I’m doing a 2 day program for 6 days in the week. Today is Day A. The 2 days look as following: Day A: 3x5+ Barbell Rows 3x5+ Squats 3x5+Bench Press Day B: 3x5+ Chinups 3x5+ Overhead Press 3x5+ Deadlifts The “+” at the end denotes that the last set is as many reps as possible. I usually don’t go for true muscular failure as I’d prefer to leave some reps in the tank. I also rest 2-3 minutes between sets and if it really winded me I’ll wait till I catch my breath. I also had 2.5 lbs to every upper body lift and 5 lbs to every lower body lift every day so I can see progression. Also, if I ever do more than 10 reps on my last rep, I’ll double the weight each time until I can lower it back. This is just my lifting routine. This is the program Shad (the world class head of athletic performance enhancement) had sent over and I’ve been following it religiously. I think with this plan, I’m going to end up with a lot of stamina and strength which is nice. I mean, right now I’m lifting super heavy. The rest of what I do is based on the coaching staff here on Halifax (in terms of lifting weights, of course). After lifting weights, I’m usually hanging out with the team in the locker room, getting my pads on and wrapping my stick with tape. Unfortunately, today it looks like I’m alone as most of the guys went out partying last night. A few others also have familial commitments so it’ll be fun to practice with the coaching staff. Kind of that one on one session that everyone needs once in a while. Since I’ve finished all of that up, it's time for me to go out and get some lunch. I’m absolutely starving and they have meat and potatoes today. I’ve recently been a vegan but I went to a family birthday party and I just couldn’t do it, honestly. It was hard to continue being a vegan after the slip up so I’ve slowly reintroduced meat back into my life. Ah well, that was training today, so I think I’m going to go home and catch some Z’s,

  18. June 9, 8:00 pm Journal Entry 58 Post World Junior Championship: Dear Journal, I can’t believe that I got Bronze at the World Junior Championship with Team Asia. We worked so hard the second we met up just before the tournament and I gotta say, It’s unbelievable to think that these guys were complete strangers (minus @Acydburn) to me and by the end of it we were pretty much family. We were warriors night in and night out and sadly we went out to the gold medalists. At least, we smashed Team Canada twice and Team Europe. I could just tell that people were sleeping on us. I’m so proud that I could be a part of something so important and special for the Asians in the world. I also want to give a big thank you to @Enorama for the opportunity and the starts throughout the tournament. Hopefully, I can participate again next season! Michael Johnson
  19. You see those two roles named town in bright yellow. I’m one of the two. I’ve been claiming that the entire time. I guess town is just an alignment, not a role right?
  20. I've literally claimed to be town here. The fact that you're trying to convince the rest of town to kill me and @HulkHogan based on 0 proof of anything is truly showing me you're either the jester or trying to do a double kill on town as an evil entity. Like it's completely random that you're claiming I'm sus when your actions are showing yourself to be sus. Honestly, if the rest of town believes this I'll be completely shocked.
  21. Welcome back buddy. We haven't met yet, but nice to meet you! Ps: @Phil is the real MVP
