I can confirm that I am definitely not back at all. I'm still equally as lazy as I was with my last player and the player before. I'll be honest, I don't know why I can't get myself to write an article every week or get myself to stay active within the league. I'm still incredibly lazy. However, when I was in the league, I enjoyed every moment of it. Every moment I've spent in this league, I've enjoyed. I just know that writing an article every week is apparently impossible for me to do these days. So I decided to join back in the league but with a caveat. I know I will not be a perfect user and I know I'm not going to be a top prospect in my draft like I used to be. I'm happy being an option for a team, just a decent player who will likely welfare his way through his career but enjoy himself in the league again.
 
Some things that have been going on in my life... Well, I'm having a kid. Potentially in a month or so. I feel like this confirms that I'm an old head now and it's exactly why I won't be committing to a full career. I'm excited to enter this phase in my life in a way. I know it'll take me away from sim leagues for a bit but for some reason, I'm extremely excited by this. I probably wont be when the kid comes and I'm sleep-deprived however I'll have degen hours on Discord to look at . No, this little one will not be joining the VHL in 13 years or so. Before degends get any crazy ideas.
 
I've been primarily an SBA user for the past little while considering they have a season pass option over there. It makes it a lot easier for me to participate in which is why you could find me over there versus over here. I know that sounds confusing but it's easier for me and the community is great over there. I hope to see some more members from over there join back over here but I know the SBA season pass isn't convertible to over here so you may not see much coming this way. Hopefully, we can see more SBA members pop over here and at least welfare. I genuinely believe the welfare system here benefits players as you can still have a great career just earning 10 TPE. I remember some great players in my time who had wonderful careers just welfaring.
 
GM's please, encourage your players to welfare if they cannot earn well. I may or may not make an article on some great players who welfared throughout their careers. There was one on DC and I can't recall his name ( @Enorama probably remembers as he was the GM). He was the one who turned my head to a great earning career with just welfaring. Sure theres a big difference but that player did everything but earn a big 6 TPE every week.

Congrats man, good luck with everything in the next month or so! Happy to see you back in any capacity. I think it’s healthy to have level expectations with your player. No harm in having a depth player and still being around in the community.
 
As for the DC player, maybe thinking of Mikko Aaltonen? He was primarily welfare but earned like over 1000 TPE..

My IRL nutsack of a brother Marcel has managed to win two consecutive Continental Cups in five VHL seasons as a stay at home defender with Welfare + PF and some career tasks and first gen stuff. Yermolai Nabakov is an utter disappointment to my agency and his season so far is drastically underperformed so far. 24 points in 16 games is absolutely dreadful and we should expect better statistics out of him soon. He has been working hard in Russia and produced some good statistics over there. I'm really sad to not see him top the charts with his statistics so far and I think we haven't even seen the best out of him yet. Philly's players hasn't been lighting the lamp so much for him as he's been trying to set his team up as much as possible. However, he has been playing fewer and fewer minutes and I think he's ready for a huge uptick in his minutes in order to see him really thrive and groove into his own.

Hey all! Hope you're doing good. VHL/E/M seasons are underway and there's lots to talk about. Outside of the VHL, Alberta and good chunks of Canada have been choke held by a crazy cold spell. Lots are bitching about it, but they forget they've been blessed with Springtime temperatures up until January. We were literally cutting vegetation at work in January with the skidsteer...  and what they also forget is = no snow, cold = more fires. So you enjoy those nice days in Winter but please don't bitch when all there is filling the skies in Summer is smoke from horrendous wildfires. Works been okay. Nothing working in -50 after living in Australia for almost a year to even the playing fields. It is what it is. I was blessed with that amazing opportunity and it's all good, baby! Now... let's blab!
 
Recruiting has been awesome. We did an advertisement that you can find HERE! The advertisement I do believe happens somewhere around 4:07. The advertisement brought in I'd imagine close to around 100 members and I do feel like the recruitment team with the help of some others outside of it, did a great job reaching out, engaging and retaining the new members. So much so that whenever you log on, you see a bunch of new faces who are updating, earning and even donating! It's wicked to see. TikTok is now a thing for the recruitment team too. If you want to check it out, follow it or help grind us some followers, check it out HERE! We've posted 3 amazing weekly standing videos that @Triller made up. Not only this, but there's also been some small talk on another venture we're currently giving thought to that could also be very cool! 50 followers is more than we had before and we're sitting at over 1,200 views on the videos right now! Whatever gets the word out. One member found is one more to add to our awesome community.  Outside of recruitment, the Bears are rebuilding but we have a good group to build around. Players/members like @Berocka @zepheter @ROOKIE745 @Mongoose87 @NineIQ v2 and @pugsood are certainly good stepping stones to build off. Goalie is key nowadays and we got a killer. 7-5-0 and a .929 SV% in the E right now is something to be excited about. Matthew Highmore @NineIQ v2 is smacking the puck around in the M with 16 points in 10 GP, carrying on from his last season totals and heights of good play. SWN @zepheter is on pace for what he did last season which is great to see and @ROOKIE745 Kadachi has only played 12 GP but is basically halfway to last seasons totals. That has to feel good, hey? lol Then you got Aussie man. Started the first sim off I believe with 2 goals. and has since only gotten 1 assist. CLASSIC BEROCKA.
