  1. 1. Komarov needs to be a man possesed an the rest of the team needs to get him the puck. 2. Give the puck to Komarov guys shots a beast 3. None of the above nobody eats that shit. 6. Omask cuz why not Russia is a great country.
  2. You guys shoulda never won season 50 #davoswasrobbed
  3. Asia and Europe were the top 2 teams in the WJC. However, Asia did not show up for the good medal game. Komarov callled himself and his team mates out after a very bad effort in a 7-2 gold medal game loss. Komarov who was seen Lias Anderssoning it by tossing his silver medal to the crowd in disgust. Was quick to call his and his team mates effort f****** pathetic. They were clearly not ready, did not skate had no heart. It was embaressing for the team that shocked everyone by leading the tournament in scoring. For some reason they just caved to the pressure showing they did not deserve gold. Hopefully Asia learns from this and comes back stronger next year. They still have yet to ever win gold at this tournament in its history. Which is very disapointing as many saw this to be their best chance to win gold all together. Komarov will likely be back the the tourny next year. He had an okay tournament, but said he wants to be better next time around.
  4. This theme week seems to be about our bosses wanting their respective asses kissed. Wanting us to talk about all the positives in the league. There certianly are some positives to this league, i would not have been here this long if not for that if it was all negative. Today we will give you some positives and negatives about the league. Pro and Con # 1: The People The first 1 is a pro and a con, because of course like the world there are some very special people. Id say the majority of people here are great people that i have had positive interactions with. Ive been here a long time and for the most part ive enjoyed my time here and the people i have met. I personally find myself talking less since the move to discord, then when we had most of the chat on forums. Where missing an hour doesnt mean reading 7million messages just to try to catch up. Personally im not high on discord because i feel you could miss to many good convos or important information. However, like earth there are some bad people, those who trive on drama. Internet tough guys, dreama queens, and just some people putting on an act. The internet is full of fake personalities and since the spike in members here there are plenty more then there used to be. Pro #2: Ice time Honestly i think this league is better than other sims i have been involved in because teams are not 4 lines deep. Your not typically stuck playing low ice time not producing, and bored. Given this type of league is all about just reading stats not watching games that makes it better for members. You can actually see your player producing rather than "earning" a role. Given there is not much else to do in the league the idea of 4 line deep teams is off putting. Having 2 lines most teams 3 on true contenders means everyone usually can earn meaningful ice time. Con # 2: League carrying more about getting members than keeping them. Yes i said it, many moves have angered me honestly if i did not like the GM in Beavis who drafted Komarov id probably have just retired. They continue to strip TPE away claiming inflation. But then honor TPE bumps for members who do not even post in our forum, and the opposite league does not do the same for our members. That means as a functioning contributing to this league forum member i could earn LESS than someone who posts a link to another league. For a league to claim its all about their members then slash earning rates so drastically its kinda like buying a used car an hoping its not broken. Pro # 3: Portal I honestly can say i love portal, it just makes things so much easier, neater and smoother than the old way. I dont need to do a whole ton of steps an hope i added right the forum does it all for me. Saving me time an headaches, it can take abit of getting used to for new people, but i feel the system is just much better than when i joined the league. Overall the league is good, but lets not pretend it is without its flaws. I believe in being open an new members should see the good and the bad. I did not cover everything here, because well the word count going over 500 does not do me anything extra.
  5. 1.Hopefully help us upset the league an win the cup nobody here to lose. Losing is for losers. 2. Who knows its totally random but lets win em all. 3. Why Komarov is not playing more him an Neals back getting sore from carrying the team. 4. Probably come out like Hugh Hefner or something with like 50 women on my arms. 5. Ford trash cars that work for short bursts, but very inconsistent like the americans who make them. 6. Nope i wanted 200 points i guess ill settle for 100 but not happy not scoring enough.
  6. League doesnt respect the old men anymore Komarov started as a hot dog vendor too!
  7. Last night Komarov took over, putting up a massive 10 points in 2 games. It seems he has started to get hot lately. As he shows up more an more for practice teams are wondering what has changed. The russian barely was training early, seeing him fall to the late rounds in juniors. Late rounder in the VHL, aswell. Now he has suddendly come on strong earning, a good amount of practice time an it has started to pay off on ice performance. The biggest question is how long will he maintain this progress? If he continues it would be the second fastest rate he has had in his career behind Sergei Komarov who as we all know was a beast in his days. He hopes to atleast be a solid role player for many seasons. For now Saskatoon is happy to see this hulking Russian dominate juniors as he continues to climb the scoring leaderboards. Sadly it has not seen progress in the standings as it appears to be on pace to end the season in 7th place.
  8. 1. Need tweeks need to keep improving thank god for Komarov and Neal 2. I dont really follow who is GM anymore but good luck to them except against Saskatoon. 3. Its not HR approriate 4. Gabriel Mcallister dude annoyed me taking away my spot light with Sergei 5. Chemistry pretty simple everyone always underestimates it. 6. Snoop Dog cuz pain management would be less pills haha
  9. 1. End of the day every point counts so of course it is huge. 2. Better at hitting homeruns still, but he has been valueable in net for us. Shame he likely is not our goalie in net next year. 3. He has always been a creeper so not shocking 4. If the puck is going to Komarov for the shoot 100%, if not 0% 5. Honestly not sure how i fit into anyones plans with my development not being that great 6. All of them get tested bro
  10. Komarov has had a good junior career to this point avg a ppg after not playing really his first 20 games. Last season, however some solid play has led him to a confidence boost and it appears to be doing wonders for his training recently. His skills have started to shine through and he appears to be more interested in putting work into the gym improving his skills. However Saskatoon appears to be falling behind an now faces a shot at missing the playoffs all together. Which has kicked Komarov it appears into over drive putting out the best gym hours of his career so far. Only time will tell how much of an impact it will have on the Wild. However as a late round pick they must be jumping for joy. The Wolves too must be looking upon this progress as good as they possibly can as well. Though he will still never be a star any extra work will atleast make him a valued role player.
  11. Haha thanks for the shout out. It was good to see Evgeni accomplish what he did. Even if i had to call a career early for reasons beyond my control
  12. My answer to the SBA VHL drama is cut the SBA they already get free hand outs from our league for not posting articles on the site. So <insert swear word here>
  13. Wonder why u chose the season before Sergei Komarov, forget the 3rd guy, and Casey Jones battled for top rookie spot we all had100 points. Nevermind noticed the link is gone now
  14. Kazimir Komarov is a hulking russian who when he grows into his frame should be a force to be reckoned with in the years to come. Today we are going to take a look at a few strengths and weaknesses this young russian has. Strengths. 1) Scoring Komarov is an elite goal scorer he can score from all over the ice with different styles of shots. He is very deceptive, which makes it very hard for goalies to read him and stop the pucks he puts on net. His booming shoot will only get worse as he grows in strength an becomes more man than boy 2) Skating Despite being a huge man he can skate with the best of them. He has seemed to put importance into practing his skating and improving it. Which makes it scary when you realize just how fast this big man moves. If he can put on some muscule, he will terrify defenders coming down the ice. 3) Defense Despite being a russian sterotype, he can actually play defensive when he wants to. He know where to stand an it helps him when it comes to creating offense. He seems to be commited to playing quality defense which is a good sign for a young forward. Weaknesses 1) Checking Despite being a huge guy he really does not throw many hits. He could crush bones with his frame but to this point seems reluctant to do so which frustrates his coaches. The Komarov family bloodline suggest this will not last the family has already been outspoken by his soft play ruining their reputation. 2) Commitment Komarov fell to the late rounds in both the VHL and VHLM drafts. The reason for this is his lack of commitment despite coming from a respected agency. He has not put on solid time yet and that scared teams away. He intends to work on this but he knows he will never become a true star player in this day an age. 3) Strength He needs to grow into his frame he is scrony and weak on the puck despite being 6 foot 8. He needs to bulk up to be successful in the VHL as he wants to be a good scorer playing against men he has to look like a man not just a boy. He will hopefully start to work on this soon as he aims to commit to the gym abit more going forward.
  15. 1. Yes im not a VHLM star and many of our prospects are raw. Which usually leads to struggles which we have started to see now. 2. Gary Neal or whatever his name is hes been on fire for the team this year. 3. Score goals, and bang babes so far accomplishing both. 4. Different player types playing off one another 5. Komarov is when he wants to be the problem is hes has been streaky. 6. Friendships its the only reason i have been here for so long
  16. Komarov started off the season hot. However, recently his play has dropped off abit he has not been seen at practice often missing it. Hes been described as lazy, and that makes him a russian stéréotype. When things are going good for the Russian, he plays like a man on a mission. However when things are going poorly he has not. He often has taken shifts off, or hogging the puck. It must be frustrating to the Wild fan base as they can see he clearly has all the talent in the world to be a star player. Coachs have been benching him lately, trying to send a message to the russian. Talking anout making him a healthy scratch has surfaced as well as he continues to just not commit to working out. Vancouver has been reached out too for aid as they own his rights in the VHL. Only tine will tell if the russian will get the memo or fade into obscurity.
  17. So me too lol im a free agent pick up Unless rules changed usually its late starters or guys creating there next player that go into the draft. Pengu would be too early that id assume he will stay in halifax. I forget the cut off point, but it was usually late season guys
  18. Halifax roster is very weak, pretty much a few options to score, and defend the team lacks depth and serious options. They have however emerged as the best of the worst. Currently 7th in the league with 40 points. The team in led by Pengu, Heinen, and Komarov who are all near or in the to 10 scoring for rookies. Which is impressive for Pengu, and Komarov as they did not play the first 20ish games in the league. Pengu even more as he appears to be a first gen whose earning at an amazing rate which could he a steal for some team in the VHL draft. Next year i would assume to see all 3 of these guys back which means Halifax should be a threat unlike this season where its been development only. Time will tell how big an impact these guys have on the roster next season.
  19. Despite playing 20 games not in the line up well registering 3 points. His next 28 games have seen the Russian register 36 points. Showing just what the raw talented Russian is capable of doing, he continues to develop at a slower rate he will not be a high pick, due to much deeper drafts. However keep an eye out for his talent as someone whose shown he can build players his performance in a year where half the time he did not play to be gaining close to a PPG now shows he has skill. He has learned a lot from his family, his mentor is Sergei Komarov who was always in the convo for best two way forward during his career. The problem he has was playing against 2 generational type players during his prime. Time will tell just how well this hulking 6'8 Russian does in his career but the family has not had a bust yet. Though some never fully lived up to their grand potential due to real life. Halifax is a bad team, but it has a few bright spots with Heinen, and Pengu, along with Komarov. Who despite lack of depth seem to be performing well for the team. Likely will not make the playoffs or even if they do bounced first round. However, much less frustration on Halifax than his time in San Deigo
