We had a lot of quality applicants this season and it was a difficult decision and wasn't taken lightly. I encourage everyone who didn't get the position to not be frustrated and to keep applying for the World Juniors and other positions in the league. We notice names who keep applying.

I'm aware, he told me on discord after. Its straightened out.

1) Huge for the team. Confidence was starting to slip a little bit, but we've managed to dial it back a little bit. I think we let the early success get to our heads a little bit. Time to hunker down and get back to playing Sasky hockey.
 
2) Bonds has been a fantastic teammate. The one thing he needs to remember is that he needs to intentionally get hit by these pitches. Some days in praccy, he stands off to the side of the crease and tries to crush pucks out of the rink.
 
3) With a name like Peace he has to be fine...right?
 
4) I don't think we're in flying V territory yet. Besides... its not fundamentally the smartest hockey breakout of all time either.
 
5) I'd be happy to go to any VHL franchise. Obviously I have some ties to Helsinki and Calgary, and QC (where did they move?). A new experience would be fun and exciting
 
6) all of them. every single drug.

Kachur would be a quality hire. Very active and engaged in our locker room and sets a great example for the rest of the team!

Kachur keeps our LR booming at all times. He'd make for a good AGM!

The thing about punishments is that it doesn't need to be intended to be a punishment in order for it to be one. There are members there who have done nothing to you or the SBA community, yet you insist on denying them the ability to claim point tasks they've done here. I for one am not doing multiple point tasks with the amount of work I put in here, which straight-up keeps me from joining. Surely I am not the only VHL member that is being dissuaded from joining, or remaining active, by this decision your BoD has made. A decision our BoG, it should be noted, was not made in order to not punish members of your community that wished to be active here. 
 
You can say it's not a punishment all you want, but it doesn't change the fact that that's exactly what it is to members of the VHL there.

I can say I echo and respect a lot of your sentiments. I do not know when or how it turned into "us vs them" but having seen the chat logs between Emidas and Bek, I can also clearly state you guys never really brought a solution to the table. It was, very evidently our intention to keep all of it behind the scenes. But as things escalated, as some of our select members you mentioned cause problems that in your mind taints our overall community. But there very much felt to me, to be an aspect in the dealings that came across as if the SBA side didn't want to be seen as targeting specific members. That is all fine and well, but when the conversation goes past what the league was and continues to be doing to try to improve our culture, left with no other argument as to why affiliation made sense SBA members did bring up and target specific members. Nobody was told to be outright fired, but such members were then linked and used to scapegoat our entire communities reputation. 

I think it would of benefited the SBA side to just be more upfront about what they wanted, and what type of change they would of liked to have saw in order for affiliation to make sense. Even if that was a change we weren't capable of, fine their would of been no more need for politics of trying to frame the argument in a way that makes one side look better than the other. We had no problem admitting our wrong, I feel like. We admitted we had toxic community issues, we admitted we had members with problems. That wasn't done just to appease the SBA, obviously but also because we agreed you were right. So I have to agree, considering we saw the changes you guys made, and decided to take similar although less drastic measures of our own, it very much felt like good footing to continue an open and honest relationship. But the attitude that came across from your guys end after that appeared to us to be that because our measures weren't as drastic as yours, and because we allowed members ways to "cheat the system" I believe were Molholts exact framing when it comes to offensive language ergo putting in things like "oh your a big thing I can't say" as examples of skirting the system."  While I personally don't see any taste in messages even like that, obviously the leagues differ in regards to what we let other members get away with in that regard. 
 
Which pretty much brings us to this standstill. Coupled with select members here, who given our more lax standards even still when it comes to a matter of opinion, are allowed to express their continued frustrations with the SBA's more drastic policies (in their eyes) as I mention. For me personally, I just don't see why Molholt or anyone in question can't see the nuance in that a select group of members here who have been burned by the SBA or have negative opinions of it do not make the bulk of our sites opinion of yours. We have plenty of joint members, and plenty of members who also sing their praises. If any of your naysayers wants to get smart or too trolly, they can and have been punished. Even if those punishments are mutings, or temporary, I guess I feel it still sends a strong enough message on our end that we as a league absolutely respect the SBA and it's staff, regardless if everyone on our site all had drama free dealings with them.

Oh man, this is a sad topic tbh. 
 
Just imagine how good it would be for both leagues to team up and just... have... fun.

Chance Rust can best be described as “The player every team needs, but the one everyone forgets about”. Chance prides himself on being the one to have a good game play and shut teams down, but in ways that keep him off the score sheet. Battles in the corner, keeping players out of the front of the net and making smart plays are his goal in every game.
 
Chance has been playing for many years and has slowly been making his way up the ladder system. It has been a struggle for him to advance at points, but through his hard work and constant contact with the coaches, staff and players has earned him good reputation as a leader and one that always wants to improve himself. The VHLM and eventually the VHL are Chance’s next goals in his career and he hopes that his talent and skills will lend himself well to his new teams.
 
Stats wise, Chance is a defensive defenseman, so goals tend to be far and few between, but he does try and get his assist numbers up. His leadership and discipline keep him out of the box, but he’s not afraid to take good penalties when in the best interest of the team and moments. Likewise, he’s not a very physical guy, and rarely throws a hit, but he’s still not afraid to use his body in the corner and work to out battle his opponents 1 on 1 for the puck. The best stat to look for though to see Chance’s abilities is to actually look at the stats of his opponents and their stars as shutting them down is what he does best. Matching up against the best of the best and not letting them play their game is what makes him a game changer.  
 
Throughout his career, Chance has developed and run some of the best penalty killing squads and he looks to improve on it in his next steps of his play. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Chance was unable to enter the VHLM entry draft and is entering through free agency. Don’t think this will stop Chance from making an impact right away though.
 
Don’t be looking for his name in the papers and box scores because you won’t find him there. Just look for him on the ice and for his team at the top of the standings.

*The purpose of this post is not to trash the SBA, more of a he who throws stones should not live in a glass house metaphor. Here are some snippets from a 5 minute search in the SBA discord of offensive language. I think the SBA should get off their high horse here and realize that people are people. Some of these are potentially taken out of context, just like I'm sure some VHL snippets were taken out of context. Also I am not condoning the use of this language, just reiterating the SBA leadership are being hypocrites. 
 

If you search the word "nigga" on SBA discord, there are two full pages of one of the most hateful and racist words out there
Search for the word "bitch" on SBA discord which is sexist and demeaning towards women, and you get 31 pages
