4. Look at how the protected Gretzky. You hit him and you would never see the ice again, not to mention you'd get your ass kicked. Now look at how Sidney Crosby has been treated his whole career. As a rookie, Derian Hatcher used his stick to give him emergency dental surgery. You think Gretzky had it in him to deal with that? I don't.
5. Nick Lindstrom could play in literally any era of the league. He was just that good.

8. Malcolm in the Middle just showed up on Disney+, so I've been watching that. It mostly holds up. For the era it was made, the homophobia is very mild.

1. It will be four games. That is all.
2. Booberry, definitely. From all those times he lifted the team onto his back.
4. James Teekirque is finally shooting and scoring, and with that five point sim to open, he's an early favorite.
5. I know people say he's a jerk, hit Jack Eichel and I had similar injuries and both had to wait to get the surgery we wanted, so I relate to him.
6. I always liked Paul Martin because he was like Cool Hand Luke out there. Not fancy, but he could play 22 a night and you wouldn't sweat it.
7. These days, no. I used to listen to some of my history audiobooks. They're quite dense, so when you're tired, they put you right out.

1. I've picked up the goals a bit lately, I think I could hit 40, now.
2. James uses Federation issue equipment. It's very high tech and definitely not a wooden prop with shiny spray paint.
4. I always thought it would be funny to have two cats and name one Garfunkel but not name the other Simon.
6. Well, the Timo Meier trade will not just be big this playoff, I think he'll probably get an extension and be a game changer long term in Jersey.
7. I'd rather not move, but if I have to, I'll go back to Ottawa.
8. The Bakshi Lord of the Rings cartoon. I know people say it's terrible, but I used to watch it with my family every summer when my grandparents visited. It was before the Jackson Lord of the Rings movies, it was the best we had. Plus the Ring Wraiths were really creepy.

1. Righty. I shoot right, too, which is strange, I gather.
2. Probably the penalty shot competition. He has a flair for the dramatic.
4. Whichever one is presently starting their backup goalie.
5. Well, my previous player was on the inaugural Miami Marauders, so I'd bring them up, and I'd send down Helsinki.
7. I think it was the original, side scrolling Duke Nukem, on my grandfather's old Windows 3.1 PC, though he had a pile of those old DOS games I could be forgetting.
8. Probably not. You have to be really bad to get that pick. Now, Bedard plus the right moves? Maybe.

3. Makes a lot of sense for the Rangers. They've got to win while Shesterkin is on his entry -level deal. His real contract is going to kill their cap.

1. Edmonton. You've got those two prime forwards, and it's a lot easier to build up the rest of that mess in a video game. Wait, shit, are they good now?

4. I have been using this name ever since Dale Gribble on King of the Hill released a mongoose into Megalo Mart to find a snake he had released into there to deal with rats.

1. I think it was 17. I either chose that because it was in the Enterprise's designation or because of a terrible cover of a Sinatra song.
3. Gonna pick a real dark horse here -Patrick Roy.
5. The Flyers should, they can change it to a toilet seat.
6. Obviously it varies by age, but for a long time it was Darkwing Duck. Honestly, I can imagine any recreation being any good, because I would bet the original wasn't, either.
7. Goon was a real lighting in a bottle sort of film, I don't think you can just go out and make a movie that good.
8. I'm going to assume this is regardless of financial or health implications. T-bone steak. It's got two different cuts right there, all the variety I need.

1. I'm not upgrading any. It's my last season before depreciation, I'm banking it all.
2. Solid. It was a typical Alex draft - minimize gambling, get your guys. Quality over quantity.
5. I like career modes, so every improvement made to the Be a Pro mode is a good move, IMO. I've heard the current version isn't very good
6. Star Wars. The Empire Strikes Back is brilliant. If that was the only movie in the series, people would still talk about it
7. Babylon by Don McLean. That's right, American Pie isn't his only song.
8. Depends on your definition of "replay". I've sunk more hours into Crusader Kings II than any other, but it doesn't really have a plot. I think I've played Betrayal at Krondor the whole way through the most times, to age myself.

5. Those CHL trades are nuts, but you can see why they go for them. Everyone will remember a Memorial Cup, no one will remember that you were bad for a few seasons.
6. I'd say it's 50-50. For RPGs, my first playthrough is usually based on myself. For sports, I'm all over the place. For example, some of my players are named after characters from popular TV shows.
7. No. For example, in this sketch, the laugh track takes you right out of an otherwise very moving sequence.

1. Are you kidding? Starfleet regulations strictly prohibited that sort of uniform violation.

8. I'd like to introduce an award for the best offensive performance by a defenseman. I think the waters are too muddy on the Norris. By doing this, you'd eliminate situations where either an amazing offensive season is FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY because of defensive deficiency, like Mike Green's 30 goal season. Call it the Orr.
