Hello! This is going to be all over the place FYI

I am going to give a bit of a run down my history in the league and then get into the news...

I joined the VHL back in S80. This was a really rough time in my life as some family stuff issues were happening and I needed an escape and I stumbled across the league from a Thrash94 video. I signed up, created a player and signed with the Minnesota Storm which was run by @Laine and AGM @youloser1337.  Justin (Youloser) was an amazing help and taught me a ton about the whole league.

Going to jump forward to the Junior Showcase Tournament.

This was I believe the first JST ever and @youloser1337 had the honor of running the Royals? I think it was the Royals... and he had asked me to be the AGM which I was super excited for so I accepted, I actually think I was camping at this time.   I vividly remember joining VC and @frescoelmobeing in there.... just a random memory.  ANYWAY.... We had run the Royals through that tournament and then Justin ended up getting a GM job in Mexico City and He had asked me to AGM for him over there which I was certainly willing to do.. About halfway through that season I ended up getting a GM job for the Houston Bulls which I think only lasted 2 seasons then I essentially handed the team off to my AGM at the time @Arce.  I then AGM'd for Arce for a decent bit I think? I then ended up scooping up another team in S85 the Ottawa Lynx and that job didn't last long.

In S86 I applied for the Warsaw Predators General Manager position. The position was filled and found out they hired @N0HBDY....   Not long later I was offered the General Manager position in Toronto which I was happy to accept!  I knew I had some big shoes to fill but with some encouragement I knew I could do it which I think I did.  In my 10 seasons in Toronto I had achieved: 1x Continental Cup, 1x Victory Cup and 3x Devon Marlow-Marta Trophy.

I would like to thank @animal74@v.2 @dstevensonjr for everything they have done these last few seasons!  You guys have been so incredible to work alongside, we built some of the greatest teams in Toronto History in my opinion.  I'm really not sure how you guys put up with me for so long....

I would also like to thank all of my friends for everything the last 16 seasons, you know who you are.  I will be around the VHL still just maybe not as much.

Also guess I should thank @Acydburn@Beketov & @Josh for running this league for however long.... get a life.. ❤️

With all that being said I am officially announcing that I am

Spoiler

No longer going to be the General Manager of Toronto

I endorse @dstevensonjras my replacement .

Thank you everyone.

It has been an honour and a privilege to work with you in Toronto.

The league should give you an honourary David Knight Trophy for the amount of talent that you gathered in Toronto, but never seemed to fully get credit for. It takes a lot to build a team that is consistently in the mix for a title. so having built one that won 2+ rounds in 4 out of 5 years deserves serious recognition.

I very much look forward to our paths crossing many more times!!

Thanks for the ride @Moon!  Was the first time I was fully invested in one team for the entirety of my players career (9 seasons at that).  We truly did have a great group.

I also fully endorse @dstevensonjr as the next GM of the Legion.

Great to have you as a GM @Moon!  Hope you stick around in a lesser capacity.

When it gets colder out I will fire up steam and we can game a bit.

You did good, Mooner. You weren't put into the easiest situation, but you persevered, ended one of the VHL's longer cup droughts, and turned Toronto into a legitimate contender season after season. Not only that, you've set up the team to be in great shape for a smooth transfer to a more than qualified assistant. You've truly left Toronto in a better place than you found it.

Job well done, sir! 🫡

@Moon First of all, thank you for having faith and drafting me as your first ever pick for the Legion, 13th overall in the S86 Draft. Secondly, thank you for letting me ride shotgun as your co-AGM for seven seasons. You had a vision and built something wonderful. Everyone who came to Toronto during your tenure, no matter for how long, loved playing for the Legion and loved playing hard for you. The Legion went from missing the playoffs for five straight seasons to making the playoffs in six straight including three Cup Finals in five seasons with the S91 Cup the cherry on top! It was a pleasure and honor to work with you and play for you and together, with many others, we have written our names in the annals of Legion lore forever. You end your Toronto GMing career as the all-time franchise leader in regular season and playoff wins - not easy to do in today's VHL especially for one of the original teams. Be proud of what you accomplished. We are all proud of you. :tor:
