1. As of this writing, we are 12 games into the season and our team is off to a much rougher than expected start! What are some things the team or management can do to right this ship? Pun intended, obviously.

 

2. As a team we're performing below expectations, but looking at your individual stats, how do you feel you're performing personally?

 

3. For those of you who are new to the VHL, how has your experience been in the first week or two so far? For those of you aren't new to the league, what WERE your first impressions of the league back in the day?

 

4. Describe the type of player you are, or are striving to become!

 

5. Today I was (and probably still am) suffering from some kind of stomach flu/bug/food poisoning/maybe I'm dying. What are some things you like to do to make life a little easier on yourself on a sick day?

 

6. Do you watch/follow hockey in real life, and if so, who are your favourite teams and why? If not, then what sports (if any) do you prefer instead?

1(ah) Jardy est le plus bon AGM! Il est drole et intelligent, esp. a cote de Le Grande Manager Minion. 
 

Deux: J’aime les Marauders de Miami. Ils son mon equipe premiere quand j’arrive a le VHL (as AGM, Dood Qui Est Groovy jouer a Minnesota rip)

 

Trois: Je ne comprende pas. J’etudier francais kindergarten a 9e, and didn’t use a translator yet so I’m pretty damn impressed with myself. 
 

Cat: Aw man I miss gaming. In Canada, I had a laptop running Windows that could play the most basic of games (Isaac was the best, but also TableTop Sim Jeopardy and Star Wars BF2 were favs). That died (I think something inside melted trying to play Golf with Friends and I blame Josh and Rory). Now I’ve got a Mac that can barely run Microsoft Teams for work, yet alone an incompatible Steam game. Rip. That’s fine, I was always more a console guy before I joined the VHL and loved my Xbox. I had a 12 year Xbox Live account, holy shit! Game Pass was unreal because I don’t have the attention span to play any game enough to make it worth $100 CAD. Anyways that got left behind too. Now I’ve just got my Switch, which travels really well, but I don’t have a TV to play with my friends. The most gaming I get these days is Chess.com with my co-workers and the VHLers, and doing the New York Times crossword. 
 

5. Controversial opinion (that absolutely should not be followed by anyone outside Canada and/or under the age of 18): cannabis. Being sick is a lot of a mental struggle, and using cannabis helps me mentally get out of the shit to let my body do it’s thing and heal. I’m not the annoying prophet proclaiming the healing powers of the magical plant to anyone too polite to walk away, but if you ask, I’ll tell you how much legalization helped me manage my anxiety and depression or a stomach bug and overall blah sick day. 
 

6. I feel like there’s a rule against doing PTs en francais (or generally non-anglais) but as long as the presser comes out in English and the other languages are bonus, I’m game. Like many of our non native English speakers, I enjoy the opportunity to use a language I thought I had entirely forgotten.

Also, I love me some Binding of Isaac! I haven't played in a good long while, there's been overwhelming amount of updates, but the original game is one of my two perfect games on Steam (the other is Telltale Game of Thrones which you just have to complete to get all the cheevos).

1. I still enjoy the forum, I love our team and I'm sure we can battle for the last playoff spot.

 

2. I would maybe trade some players for @S82 draft picks draft, because we are clearly not contender this year and we do not have a lot of draft picks this season.

1. I just joined the team after being in the league for a very short period, even though we may have lost and we are last; my morale is great. I really like my teammates so far and I can only hope to be around to see the team grow.

2. Focus on trading for draft picks and maybe flipping those picks accordingly for some high potential players who are willing to help grow with the team. Otherwise, just get some picks for the next season.

3. I like my new teammates, they have all welcomed me to the community with open arms and have been patient with me. Giving them so good build advice and letting them know how to better get through the site would be a good way to welcome them and spark up a conversation if they are confused.

4. When I first stepped onto the baseball field, and onto the ice for the first time when I was younger.

5. My notebook with my story ideas in it, my copy of LOTR, and finally my baseball glove my grandfather gave me before he passed.

6. Haha, we need more fights, i say we remove the pads and drop the frozen biscuit and clean the lines because we just wanna fight. I jest, maybe a mid season draft like my teammate said, or implement salary arbitration, could be interesting; or not even work lol.

First of all, good call with the shoes. This is not the kind of weather you want to get caught barefoot in!

First of all, these answers are so damn heartwarming and they made me smile.

 

Second of all, I know you were kidding with #6 but a little chaos would be pretty fun, especially when we don't have as much to lose. One of my previous players was meant to be a full on goon, but I abandoned the league for a while before I got to see his maximum Fighting potential. I have no qualms with being an unconventional player

1. My morale isn't even effected by losing so much but it triggers me really hard thet we lose like 70% of the games with only one goal behind but I'm enjoying how my guy plays. I'm not ready to execute you and minion yet because it wasn't your fault.

1. Curtis hasn't been producing like he should but I'm here for the long run until we bring this team to a championship

2. I personally am not ready for a general manager I've only been playing for a few weeks but I think I would just continue the season let the guys know each other so next year we come out firing next season.

4. My brother was hanging from monkey bars and I made a line in the woodchips and told him to land past that point and as he was gaining momentum once he was going to let go he held on too long and fell straight on his back and I was just dying laughing no injuries for those concerned btw.

1.) Well, I'm cheating, but we are no longer dead last! We are now second to last! So things are improving, and in the VHLM (almost) anything can happen!

 

2.) The first thing I'm doing is finding someone else to be in charge - I ain't got time for that shit no mo'.

 

3.) Well, I'm still getting to know my new teammates since I was one of those brought in, but everything seems pretty good here so far, minus the not winning a ton part.

This reminds me of the time I accidentally touched the upper burner of the oven when reaching to take something out. The funny thing is I heard the sizzle of my skin touching hotness before I really felt it. Fortunately I only lightly brushed against it so it didn't hurt too bad.

1.) Well, I already got traded once. At this point, I think I'd like to stay, just so I can still play as a starter.

2.) Jackbox Night could be fun - allows audience participation so even if you're not playing, you can still participate.

3.) I'm actually almost done! I'd say 90% - just need to get one or two small things for the wife.

4.) I think someone is doing a cooking stream or something? That might be one of the "if we get X amount of donations" ones, but either way, that's what I'd like to see.

6.) I have two - one is for cooking reasons and the other is for personal injury reasons. For the cooking one, I had first started cooking and was making Rice-A-Roni. "Brown the rice" accidently turned into "blacken the rice" and it was pretty distrusting - just very crunch and basically inedible. For the personal injury story, I was browning ground beef for something and couldn't figure out why the beef wasn't actually cooking even though the range was on. My mom has an electric stove top, but one of the older ones with the coils, not the flat surface. I had accidentally left the cover over the coils, so the pan itself wasn't getting hot. This must have happened for at least a couple of minutes, if not a little longer. I realized what happened , but I was distracted with something on my laptop (possibly VHL?) and without thinking, I used my index, middle, and ring fingers to slide the cover off the burner like I had countless times before...except all those times, the burner wasn't on high heating up cover. I left skin marks on the cover from where I slid my fingers and immediately filled the bathroom sink with cold water and stuck my fingers in there. Eventually, I ended up at Urgent Care with 3 very burned fingers that started to swell up. Did not tickle.

I recently attempted to make pancakes for the first time ever and had no idea how it worked. I threw an entire bag of pancake mix onto the burner and then mixed in the water, instead of pre mixing a much smaller amount with water. I created something but it was nowhere near edible

1. I’m at a point in life where I have all that I need and want, so what I asked for was PlayStation $$ and I used it to pick up Hitman 3, ooooh yeeeah!!
