  1. "That's why AGMs don't have a color... because they're not important." oh Everytime I listen to these podcasts I swear I get assaulted whether it be direct or indirect what's going on
  2. Prees 1) Despite being 6th in the league, we are currently 5th in the NA conference, out of the playoffs by 1 point. How do we cope to overcome this tight race? 2) Although still one of the strongest teams in the league, Vancouver has been trending down lately, and should we make playoffs we'd likely face them in the first round. How do we feel about this series? 3) In light of the theme week, who's the most likely to get their first HOFer in the next couple of classes? 4) With playoffs coming up, offseason is quick to follow. How do you plan to beat the offseason slump? 5) If you've been following the VSN Australia podcasts, who's "voice reveal" was the most shocking? 6) Who is your favorite NHL goalie and why is it David Ayres?
  3. 1. What's your hottest take about the VHL 2. What expansion team would you like to see the most and why is it the Galway Grenadiers 3. Really I just wanted to ask about Galway so I'm out of questions
  4. Pls do not take Lafreniere from Detroit we need him
  5. 1. Batman. And quite possibly spiders. 2. Being ignored mostly, having to tell someone something over and over again and having nothing change. 3. I move into my apartment come August so I'm excited to have a place technically my own. 4. Have some long work days coming up this summer, groundskeeping likely 9-5 (8-4? I don't remember my hours...) and quite possibly some closing shifts at my local pro shop. 5. Next weekend I'm headed out to Blue Mountain in I want to say Ontario, ski weekend with my extended family, should be a good time. 6. Anything chocolate that isn't overwhelmingly sweet. Shit slaps. 7. Asian food, virtually any Asian food is like my favorite thing. 8. ahem *clears throat* THE GODDAMN GALWAY GRENADIERS @Banackock
  6. Last season New York went on a tear that ultimately pulled their season out of the gutter and brought them into a much more serious conversation about contention. Well New York decided that should become tradition because they've gone and done something similar again. Remind me why I AGM for the most stressful team to watch in the league. Anyways, GAME 203 14-16-5 0-0-0 A close battle against DC kicks New York down to roughly .500%, a season that had been considered by most below average for the roster New York has. Although not quite as grim as last seasons 9-16-8 record, the addition of star players like McWolf and the breakout of Nolan and Jensen should have propelled this team much further. So albeit a better position to land in than last season, the amount the team had developed made this mark highly concerning. GAME 227 17-17-5 3-1-0 Although 3 wins is big for a struggling team, the case can be made that these particular wins don't really show much of a shift. With wins against Malmo, DC and Seattle the only team that truly stands out as a contender is the defending champs. Meanwhile the loss comes against Vancouver, arguably the strongest roster in the league at the moment and it wasn't a pretty game to watch, getting shut out while Vancouver put away 4. Nonetheless the turnaround started here, so the article will start here as well. GAME 257 21-18-5 7-2-0 This is the first truly significant series, through five games the Americans played Vancouver once, Moscow twice and Seattle twice. This is the real competition and New York showed they came to play, securing wins against all three teams and only losing to Seattle once. Taking two games from Moscow is no easy task, as they currently sit 4 points ahead of the second place Vancouver, a team that is 9 points far and away from third. Taking a 4-1 series against top teams is a true awakening for the Americans and truly starts to propel them upwards. GAME 304 27-18-6 13-2-1 The boys have come alive and through a 7 game stretch only drop a single game, and even that was in OT. An interesting blend of teams, New York faced off against Malmo, Prauge, Seattle, Prauge again, Helsinki, Davos and Vancouver. Picking teams from all over the map, surprisingly the game they dropped was against Malmo and not against some of the stronger competition like Vancouver and Seattle. Despite that this is the run the boys needed, pulling them into contention and putting them back on track to place high this season. GAME 29-20-7 15-4-2 The last stretch has been nothing special, a little spurt of .500% again but I don't expect that the Americans are done just yet. These upcoming 16 games will see how the Americans hold up, if they continue to strive and push further ahead or if the crumble and fall back into their ways. I am going to have a stroke by the end of the season at this rate. 511 Words
  7. Late Press 1) After going on quite the tear, we now sit 5th in the league and 3rd in the conference, only five points out from Calgary. Do you think we can catch them? 2) After playing our last match against Davos, our series against them comes out to 2-4-0, which may call for a resounding "what happened"? 3) This is the second consecutive season where we've struggled through the first half of the season and pulled it together for the second. Why do we wait to put on the gas? 4) Many veteran players (our @McWolf included) have recreated for the next draft class. Who are you most excited to see in the next few season? 5) If you had to recreate right now, who would your next player be? 6) Who's the scariest team to play against?

  10. *inhales* GALWAY GRENADIERS WHERE ARE THEY
  11. FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY But seriously congrats McWolf I know you’ll kill it in sask
  12. Oh Gustav mentioned me in an article what did he say? ”Vancouver could trade low TPE players like Jerry Wang” oh
  13. Excited to see Canada at the bottom, league is starting to shift away from a single country powerhouse maybe?
  14. I’d like to apply for the position, try and do Elmebeck some justice in his place. I have been AGM in New York for about 3 seasons now, and have learned heaps under Esso’s guidance. I’ve also been a presence in many VHL/M discords as well as been around the league a decent bit and I feel I have what it takes to be the guiding figure a VHLM GM needs to be.
  15. *Me filling out the expansion poll* @DoktorFunk "EXPANSION WILL KILL THIS LEAGUE" oh
  16. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this also doesn't qualify for anything as all point tasks must be VHL related, not NHL or any other leagues. Third times the charm right?
  17. Unexpected press because I have hit a wall on my project 1) As I'm sure we all know by now, teammate and all around great guy Elmebeck has recently passed away. What's your fondest memory of our friend? 2) We are only 5 points out of fourth in the league, do you expect us to make it there? 3) We are only one goal off from last in the league with goals for, how do we fix it? 4) @studentized's breakout season is bolstering our offense, being on pace for around 60 points. Who else is having a breakout season either with us or around the league? 5) If you could move for one player in the league who would you want to see in the red, white and blue? 6) If you weren't playing hockey, what would you be doing?
  18. Hey @jared, please keep in mind all point tasks have to be your own original work, claiming a graphic that someone made for you, especially one that has been posted on the forums is against policy and repeated offenses can result in a point task ban that will ultimately hurt your player.
  19. I’m going to scream next time it gets posted
