Review: I think you did a good job overall. There’s a lot going on here but it doesn’t feel overly crowded. I like how you have the background split with the goalie being the divider, having the logo on one side with the name on the other. My only recommendation would be since the photo is a goalie and you have the Kings logo on there it’s not necessary to say “VHLM - Goalie”. The colours flow and are consistent amongst the entire graphic. I love that font you used for the name, it just makes it pop. The signature is a nice touch as well. Great job!
    9/10

Totally agree with the VHLM Goalie part looking back. Isn’t needed and would’ve looked much cleaner without them and just the logos. Thanks for the feedback!

    1. The season is officially over. How do you feel overall mexico preformed this season?

    2. What do you think will be the most important thing for Mexico to have a successful playoff run?

    3. If you had to pick a MVP from the season who would it be? Why?

    4. What do you think is the most underrated attribute? Why?

    5. What do you feel is your players biggest strength? How will that contribute to our success in playoffs?

    6. Who is your dream dinner guest?

    1. Pretty solid. Had our ups and downs but we worked through them as a team.

    -

    2. Guys like myself, who didn’t have a big role in the regular season, step up and do our part.

    -

    3. Coaching staff. Great job running the team and motivating everyone to keep going every day.

    -

    4. Couldn’t choose one, but one that’s slept on is size. Who wouldn’t want a 6’8 500 pound monster in the net?

    5. My bench warming is elite. I probably won’t help us in playoffs, that’s the reason I’m so good at it.

    6. Tage Thompson… my goat.

  4. Early Childhood [172 Words]

Vincenzo Pagano was a Italian born baby, coming into the world at 23 inches and 10 pounds. To say the least, Vincenzo has always been a big boy. Being in Italy at a young age was tough on Vincenzo, with his family having Mafia ties, not a lot of hockey around, and not a lot of popularity for hockey. Nonetheless, Vincenzo had his future planned out for him, as his Grandpa was in the VHL for 7 seasons, and lived the dream. Vincenzo lived in a high income household, and when he was about 7 years old, he watched his first ever hockey game. A few weeks later, he asked his father to install an ice rink into his backyard. From there, it was history. Everyday, a young Vincenzo was out on the ice, practicing, grinding, persevering, and giving the game all he had. He wanted to be just like his grandpa, and wanted to prove to his father that putting in this ice rink wasn't a waste of their family's money.

    Teen Years [212 Words]

When Vincenzo was 13, he was trying to find a high school in Italy, which allowed him to play Hockey. Unfortunately, he wasn't able to find a place to play his beloved game, so he had to put his VHL dreams on hold. He got a job and saved up every penny of every paycheck he got, in order to pay for a plane ticket to Canada, where he could continue to pursue his dream of playing in the VHL like his Grandpa. After around 2 years of working, Vincenzo turned 15 years old, and had saved up enough money to get a plane ticket to Canada, and provide himself with food and shelter for a couple of months. At this point, Vincenzo was all in on his dream; it was go pro or die trying for him. When Vincenzo got to Canada, he once again, searched for schools for him to play hockey at. Of course, there was an abundance of options. Vincenzo went to tryouts for three to four teams before he was finally accepted into a high school located in the heart of Quebec. He would pick up his VHL dreams again, and continue to grind until he was guaranteed the starting goaltending spot on his high school team.

    High School Career [257 Words]

In his Freshman year, Vincenzo played JV hockey at his school, and had an ELITE season. He broke JV records having a .955 SV% and 1.12 GAA stat line in his first season! His coaches knew he was ready to be pulled up to the Varsity team, and that's exactly what happened. Going into his Sophomore season, he was 16 and was coming off a mediocre ankle injury from his job. He had trouble recovering from this injury, and only had a .845 SV% and 3.85 GAA in his Sophomore season, on Varsity. This got to Vincenzo, and he was considering hanging up the skates. He was planning on giving up, until he remembered the grind he had when he was a kid in his backyard, and didn't want to disappoint a young Vincenzo who had VHL dreams. He decided to give it one more year, and if it went well, he would keep playing. Going into his Junior season at 17 years old, he PERFORMED. He had a .960 SV%, 1.05 GAA, and lost the league Championship to the best team in the tournament. He decided to play out his senior year, before trying out for a VHLM team. His senior year was HISTORIC at his school, to say the least. Vincenzo only allowed 26 goals in his 82 game season. He had a .989 SV% .317 GAA, won the championship, and was invited to numerous amounts of showcase events. For once in his career, it looked like Vincenzo had a good shot at going pro.

Where I am Now [193 Words]

After his High School career, Vincenzo tried out for the Mississauga Hounds, San Diego Marlins, and Houston Bulls. All three teams denied him. Vincenzo was losing hope again, but after a tryout with the Mexico City Kings, he found a home. They offered him backup minutes behind second year goalie, Jose Avocado. He was joyful to accept the deal, and was completely fine with being a backup, as he knew he would slowly grind into the starting spot. The Kings were a top 5 team in the league, so he was glad to be giving valuable time to such a good team. Currently, Vincenzo has a .861 SV% and a 4.11 GAA. As always, Vincenzo will continue to grind until he reaches the VHLE, and then the process will repeat. Vincenzo will never back down, and will continue to grind through his pain until he's on top of the world. Vincenzo made 1.5 Million US Dollars so far with the Kings, and has moved his whole family from Italy to Mexico City to come support him. The journey has just started for Vincenzo, and I don't plan to end it soon. Go Kings.

  5. Game 491 Recap: Riga Reign - DC Dragons

    First Period

Just over one minute into the game, DC Dragons Winger 'David Cobberson' gunned in his 13th goal of the season to give the Dragons a 1-0 lead early on in the game, assisted by Hextall [20], and Dvorak [15]. Then around 7 minutes into the game, David gave his teammate, Lucas Grey, a chance for his 13th goal on the season. The pass connected and the Dragons went up 2-0 early on, with assists from Cobberson [20] and Calaway [26].

    Second Period

Going into the second period, the Dragons had a commanding 2-0 lead, and things weren't looking to pretty for Riga. Luckily, The Frenchman knocked him his 35th goal of the season assisted by star teammate Kowaslki [68]. Riga's Daniel Clarke connected for his 8th goal of the season, and tied the game up 2-2 with 4 minutes left in the second. Riga struck ONCE AGAIN! Larry Abass Jr with 45 seconds left gives Riga the 3-2 LEAD!

    Third Period

The second period comes to an end, and Riga scored 3 straight, gaining a 3-2 lead in the process. Only 2 minutes into the 3rd period, DC's Mark Calaway picks up a lovely goal to tie the game at 3-3 for the Dragons. Riga's Larry Abbass Jr didn't like the idea of that, as he fired his second goal of the game into the net halfway into the third period! With only 10 minutes to go, Riga had a 4-3 lead, and the Dragons were slowly losing hope..... UNTIL..... LUCAS GREY GETS HIS SECOND GOAL OF THE GAME! With just over 4 minutes, Grey nets one to tie it up 4-4, hoping to extend the game by one period. His hopes came true, as the game continued into an extra period.

    Overtime

Only 3 minutes in... GOALLLLL. Riga's Sadie St-Louis knocks home his 27th goal on the season, and gains 2 points for Riga's season total.

    My Opinion

Overall, this was an excellent game which involved a good comeback from Riga after going down 2-0. The Dragons desperately needed this win, but it seems both teams lacked defense, as there was a total of 96 shots this game. Big players came through in big moments, and thats what made this game so exciting and gave Riga the upper hand.

Answering three questions gets you 1 Capped TPE

Answering six questions gets you 2 Capped TPE

    1. Trade deadline has come, gone, and we haven't made any moves. Does this prove how good this group is?

    2. Instead, the team has been active with the incoming waivers. How important are these mid-season additions for our championship push?

    3. This S91 Draft Class is shaping up to be next level. How many will make the VHL?

    4. Greenland has been very active with bureaucracy with hopes of having a great National Team. Will they do it?

    5. Who will upset Philadelphia in the playoffs?

    6. Three hours ago, what were you doing?

    Player Ping

1: Shows how confident and coordinated our group is, and puts into perspective how tight of a bond our team has.

    -

2: Not gonna comment on myself, but I think Sam has done a great job adding solid depth midway through the season.

    -

3: As a part of this class it is exciting; and I think the best of the best (including me) will continue on into the VHL.

    -

4: Not sure, haven’t followed it very much. Credit to them though, great country.

    -

5: Hopefully us if anybody. I want the smoke.

6: Currently camping, so I was playing cornhole.

As you have likely seen by now @Dil has decided to step down from the GM position of the London United, leaving yet another GM vacancy that needs filling it would seem. As always the league would like to thank dil for his time behind the bench for the United.

    Hello!

As most of you have probably seen, D.C. and London in the VHL need new GMs along with Istanbul and Stockholm in the VHLE. From experience, this will likely mean that a spot or more will open up in the VHLM - therefore we have decided to open up this thread to get interest so that we can make hires quickly after the VHL and VHLE's are decided.

If you have any interest in becoming a VHLM GM, please reply to this thread. If you have any conditions, questions, or concerns, please reach out to either @Gustav  or myself.

Something something only post if you want to be hired, mods will hunt you down otherwise.
