Review: Wow! This is incredible! I love the style of the doc to make it look like a real newspaper. The smaller details such as the weather and enlarged first letters add to it. The visuals are simply stunning, and the way you break the news and games is awesome! 10/10
Thanks, means a lot coming from you Laine. Glad you liked our format! They call those enlarged words "Drop Cap" btw.

A STATEMENT REGARDING THE STATE OF THE VHT:
I wanted to make a statement about the state of our operations here at the Victory Hockey Times. We have found ourselves seeking to find a new direction to go in - a new path that will reshape our mission to fit the needs of what we seek more than previously. Our mission before was to write quality content for the Victory Hockey League community to enjoy, but now, that mission is beginning to slip from our grasp. We have chosen a new mission, hinted through the Spartan and Fishy Show podcast. We want to boost writers who may lurk in the shadows currently, to the spotlight of the Victory Sports News platform. We will also strive to write quality content for your enjoyment too. We will accomplish this by not accepting writers who work with VSN going forward, focusing on our new mission we've set out to accomplish. We are also delaying our first edition likewise. Our Co-Founder/Assistant Publisher Spencer Elsby, who is on VSN's staff, will still be on our team naturally. We respect his work ethic, and his drive to put out quality content week in, week out. Former Writer Scotty Kaberle has now left our offices also. We respect his drive to work too, with all of the responsibilities that he possesses in the VHL/VSN. Thank you Mr. Kaberle, your article will stay in our next edition. Thank you for your time.

FOR THE BEST EXPERIENCE, VIEW THIS IN LIGHT MODE, NOT DARK MODE. THANKS.

Love the diction and structure. You should join VHT, if you don’t have too much on your plate. We would love to have a mind like yours on our team.

MIND. BLOWN.
Victory Sports News never fails to impress. The depth of coverage on these prospects, the incredible layouts, graphics, and colors. They all come together to create a masterpiece. This is the magic of the VSN. This shows the talent that their writers possess, it is truly surreal. Fantastic job on my team, the Chicago Phoenix. Huge fan of it all, VHT will never reach the formatting levels of this, but then again ours is a newspaper. Two completely different formats. Grade A+ article otherwise.

Yes, I got them thank-you. Seems a little much for me. Perhaps a letter to the editor, or a guest column....something like that from time to time... That also might take the heat off your regular columnists, having a venue for public contribution, that is. Thanks again !!
No problem. We will be including pieces from the community in our papers in a specific section. We will be taking entries, and reviewing three pieces and spreading awareness for that writer. It’s a great way to get other people that isn’t on our staff involved.
Thanks,

Please fire off a couple of examples. I can see from that if I have the skills/time/inclination to pursue this. I do appreciate your effort and pro bono direction in this very worthwhile project.
I sent them to you.

If you can give me a quick run-through of sports journalism, I will gladly lend a hand with some articles
I answered this in a prior response, we could provide a couple of examples for you to get a sense of what it is that we want. It’s not hard to understand.

Will there be a venue whereby you accept contributions from the general public? The requirements mentioned above sorta cuts out most of us...ya know
I see your point of concern. I did think about that when I made the post, we can send you articles that are examples of what we want if you’re interested in joining our team. Thanks for the response! Great question.

As a former writer on the VHL Mag, very excited to see it returning! Getting featured in it was a huge honor, and I'm glad to see another generation of members getting to experience it.
Really hope to see you guys officially get recognized and become official VHL media soon!
Big thanks! I can't wait to begin work on it. I'm pretty pumped!

Just a heads-up for anyone interested: even though this doesn't come with extra job pay, you can obviously claim any written articles or created graphics as your weekly PT (provided they still meet the guidelines for either submission).
That aside, love the idea and the ambition. Definitely looking forward to seeing what you guys are able to create!
This is correct, thanks for including that small detail Sonnet.
