So far so good tbh, we've had a nice few sims, including our first ever 2-0 of the season which was huge. While IDK how much of a comeback we'll have, it'll be nice to win some more games. 2. Do you believe that our new waiver players are ready for the spotlight? Looks like they are, especially Shaun haha, we needed a goalie SO bad, so this was a huge addition and has helped immensely. 3. How do you feel about the early VHLM standing? If I'm honest, only being in the VHLM one season I am slightly disappointed not to be successful more, both on the standings and individual player side, but I'm doing my best to enjoy it! 4. What is the coolest titem you currently own? Probably my car honestly. Got it in honour of my grandfather, 1966 Mustang. Had it rebuilt earlier this year. 5. You are hosting a team dinner. What do you serve? Buffett of some kind for sure, maybe like a surf & turf? I'm sure that would go over well! 6. What does the league need to do about these disruptive spam bots? 2FA or something, even maybe implementing a pattern or like whatever they use nowadays to deter bots. It's been absolutely critical, we're winning so many more games now, slowly but surely pulling out of the bottom, and could even fight for a late playoff spot! 2. Who has been the best foward so far in the season? For the team? Has to be Rohnson, constantly in big plays, getting us some crucial points when we need them. 3. Who has shown the most toughness out of anyone on the team? Canet du Bocage has to be the most gritty player on the team. Never afraid to toss the body, or take the body. But if you hit him? Expect to be hit back! 4. Who in the VHLm has surprised you the most? Honestly... Mexico City. Their team on paper looks impressive and quite deep. A full roster even, yet they are having to claw tooth and nail to try and make the playoffs, I expected much more from that roster! 5. How do you feel about some of the changes the Board of Governors have discussed? I'm... optimistic of some favourable changes that will only help better the league and improve it for the long run. 6. How did you enjoy your Labor Day weekend? Had an excellent weekend, spent it with the family, had a great little "staycation" with them and got blessed with some gorgeous weather. Really went amazing, while the position isn't what we had hoped for, however individually I am so happy! 2. Who has been the greatest overachiever or underachiever in the VHLM thus season? I don't really think there was much of an over/under achiever that I can personally pinpoint.. 3. What is one positive that you can take from this season? As greedy as it is, my huge individual performance. I had a crappy midseason year last year, this was a big year for me. 4. What team would you look foward to playing in the playoff? Knowing who we played, anyone but San Diego haha, getting swept sucked... 5. Who is you way to early pick to win the Stanley Cup? I'd say either Ottawa or Colorado 6. Do you plan on going out to enjoy the fall colors? If so, where? Beautiful provincial parks all around me here where I live in Ontario. Going to be doing a lot of trail walks with the wife & kids. Pretty good it was my first season really enjoyed it 2.in the league as long as I can, I've already met a lot of great people through here and it's not every day you find a passionate hockey community. 3. A very crease dominant goalie, someone who can play aggressive and not get punished. I'm going to be building a lot of agility and rebound control during my time here. 4. The VHLM allows new players to hop right into the league, no problem. It's exciting because you're playing with a bunch of guys in the same boat as you. The VHL is restricted to established players, which isn't bad, it's league structure, but it makes the VHLM a lot more exciting as you're watching the younger talent start to emerge. 5. More than happy, 4th round, 21st overall. There's nothing to complain about. I also get to crack jokes about going to the 21st with the 21st now so I can assure you that joke is never dying out for as long as I'm in the league. 6. Like I said earlier we get to set the precedent for this team. Whatever happens this season we were a part ofthe original team. Some of the guys here will leave Halifax as VHLM legends, maybe not league wide but definitely locally. 7. More like all eyes are on to see if we can preform.There's a handful of guys on the team who have kind of stagnated in ability and our challenge is to get better than them and prove ourselves. 8. I'm still kind of new to the league but if I had to take a guess I'd go with Oslo, I don''t have a whole lot of knowledge on who has what players but I think historically Oslo has done well. 9. It's cool to be integrated with the community like that, to take a touch of local spirit with us, but for anyone outside the city it's going to be a little confusing. 10. The Miami Marauders. I've got a lot of history there and a good rapport with the GM. 5. I saw a guy in a pretty good Duff Man costume. He didn't know that Duff Man can never die, only the actors who play him, though. 6. 100%. The NHL is one of the dumbest leagues with regards to safety. The Garage league. Mexico doesn't have a Seinfeld themed novelty goaltender, so them. 3. Probably that Seinfeld themed novelty goaltender. 4. That anyone has lost to us. Sorry boss. 5. That's tough. I think COVID pushed a lot of people to these sorts of activities and now the pool of people that would join has been reduced. I will say this: the E is draining too much talent from the M and the result is bad for retention. 6. To be honest, it's sucked in a lot of ways, most of which don't have a payoff. We have won a few games thanks to @Mongoose87, more than I thought we would so that’s the high point. 2. We have the exact same records as I answer the press conference, so I would say we are equally as bad. 3. @Mongoose87 by a large margin. 4. How closely matched the top five teams in the league are. 5. Have a theme week asking for recruitment ideas. 6. Fall? The fuck is that? We are in first winter here, so it’s been normal. Seriously though, I don't really have personal ambitions, just think it would be fun to see Halifax good again after some struggles. 2. I tend to be all or nothing, for better or worse. It's why I take seasons off between players to recharge, but when I'm here, I like testing myself to see what I can build by maxing out. 3. Recruitment! Would love to have new players join us to build something in Halifax, it's a great place to get some playing time quickly and learn the ropes. 4. A playoff bid's a good start. I'm not going to say that we should be a title contender immediately or anything, but with the randomness of the playoffs, you never know if you get there... 5. I'm excited to see how Kendra Cavill @Firekiss does. Kendra has a good start on building those goalie skills already, and think she could be a real key for this team to go far. 6. Enjoying it thus far! The main thing will be to keep bringing the positivity, and hope that I'm able to help with that on the boards and in the LR.
