After some conversations over the past few days, @Gaming Ringleader has elected to step down as GM of the Oslo Storm, effective immediately. I want to extend our sincerest gratitude to Gaming for his time with both the Storm and the Iron Eagles and for piloting the two franchises through a tumultuous part of VHLE history. I don't believe he's going anywhere in the grand scheme of things, so I look forward to seeing what he does next!
 
With the timing of this being awkward and the team needing a direction going into the season ASAP, we did not post for the role and instead asked around for someone I already knew was interested. He should be a familiar face to you all!

You´ve probably never heard of him. His name is Filip Zinek. He has recently turned 18 and played in Pilsen his whole life. His performances didn´t stand out until the latest season, where he put up a game average of 1,9 points per game and was the leading scorer and point leader. He also got called up multiple times by the A-team where for a youngster he put up astonishing numbers. In just 12 games averaging 14:05 time on ice per game, he put up 6 goals and 4 assists for 10 points and was a +3. In a few post-game interviews he had he was very humble and mature for his young age.
 
You might be wondering why would I compare him to Petr Straka. That´s because they were both born in Pilsen and have played for their youth teams. They are both left-wingers of similar height and weight. They also put up similar numbers in the U18 league. Petr put up 40 goals, 74 points in 46 games. Not bad right but now listen to this? Filip put up 39 goals, 76 points in 6 fewer games. These are outstanding numbers and he still has some time to grow. These were some great prospects for Pilsen´s hockey team, but at the end of the season, Filip told the media that one of his dreams was to play in the VHL and that he would want to take the first big step towards making it.
 
This news took the GM of Pilsen by surprise, but as he wanted to see the youngster succeed he allowed him to try out the free agent market. Now he´s looking for a new home. Will anyone be interested and what happens if he doesn´t find a club? Nobody knows, but we surely will inform you tomorrow about this information

When an award is highly contested, multiple people are going to feel slighted when they don't get it. Award voting was 2-1-1-1 here, so very close. Feel free to quiz the individual GMs and why they voted how they did if you feel like that'll give you closure.

Absolutely well deserved, if not for the TPE records shattered, the on-ice statistics, but the members you have singlehanded brought into the VHL. I'm sure your recruitment tree stretches further than anyone realizes, obviously I have you to thank for me being here at all. A great person, a fairly decent GM, commissioner, member, and friend. Maybe one day one of your players will join Dakota in the HOF.

Who has held the record for the most TPE in VHL history?
 
A little bit ago I was thinking about articles that might be interesting for any sort of VHL 100 series coming up here not too far from now, and there was one topic that really peaked my interest: the all-time TPE leader. It’s a title that’s gone back and forth over the years as TPE has inflated, and I think it’d be a lot of fun to interview people who had that title.
 
This isn’t that article. But with Enorama entering the HOF as a builder today, it did give me some inspiration to see who’s actually held that title. Info from the early days of the VHL is tough, but this thread with Victor’s list dating from I believe S35 was a huge help. With that, I was at least able to put together a list that I think is accurate from the first player to hit 1000 TPE. (At the very least, Victor's tagged here and will correct me if I'm wrong.)
