Davos will need a C very and I mean VERY soon

Sir William Covington III is making a list and checking it twice. No he's not santa and he will not be giving away gifts. The only gift he is looking a home for is his talents. The list is not a team list but it's a demand list. Now usually the words "Demand" and "List" usually throws up red flags to GM that something is up. But we are told these demands at 90-95% none contractual demands. They may have heavy implications on where he signs but they have no actual weight when it comes to contract. Most people will scratch their heads and wonder what in the hell is a none contractual demand. For the most part they would be right to be confused by it. But it can be as simple as "demands 1st line minutes" "demands to be captain" but talking to people in Davos and people that are around SWC3 at times are telling us that his demands are more complex then that. They don't really revolve around playing minutes or leadership. They maybe included but the demands in general we are told revolve more around the team and things to do with it. Which is pretty vague. SWC3 did say he will release a few demands at his earliest convenience but that can be any day and any time with him. Hell it could even be once free agency begins. He also said "Teams that meet all demands can reach out to me. If you do not meet them all then don't bother talking to me prior to FA or even offering a contract. Once the demands are met and you are allowed to talk to me then go ahead. But till then fuck off and half a half decent day"

SWC3 is a man of many words. He is loud and lets his opinion be known to everyone but after losing in game 7 to the shitty Riga Reign SWC3 packed his bags and left the locker room in a real hurry. He gave no uplifting speech to his team, no comment to the media. Which is odd for him because he was the captain for the last two seasons. But after game 7 which wasn't even close he was the first off the ice. He didn't even shake hands with the Reign. By the time his team mates got into the locker room with the somber cloud hanging over them SWC3 had his sharp 3 piece suit on and was ready to hit the road. He had his assistant carry is hockey gear to his car and grabbed a beer for the road. He did actually turn around but did not speak. He sighed and left. The SWC3 era has officially ended in Davos. It started with him being the cornerstone for a rebuilding franchise in need of a figure and a identity. He gave them that and more. He gave the team an attitude, a reason to go out and fight every game. But now the team will lose him for nothing come free agency. Bidding is expected to reach high numbers on SWC3 which may knock Davos out of the race to get him. SWC3 never shot down the idea of returning but has said that he has all that he can do in Davos and it was time to move on. There hasn't been many memorable moments in his time in Davos other then his amazing rookie season which capped off with a ROTY win. In his second year his numbers kind of came back down to earth but still were very good. But when the team needed their captain the most in game 7 and some even argue the whole series, SWC3 was nowhere to be found. He was shutdown, he was ineffective and some might even say that he looked like a player with no interest. Almost as if he was already thinking about free agency and not how to win games and the series. Now comes the question of where will SWC3 take his talents next season and beyond. To which I would say you guess is as good as mine. Free agency should be a wild ride since SWC3 appears to be one of if not the top free agents on the market.

Anyone excited to watch this show? Has lots hype behind it, it premiered this week. It's on my PVR. I've worked a ton on the show as a Grip, I usually don't watch what I work on but this show has a ton of hype behind it and from working on it, it actually looks good.

They might as well just announce the team is named "Black Knights" the owner after the announcement said he loves the name and he played for the army and what not. He has a history with the name. Might as well get the logo and jersey out sooner rather then later. Get that fan base excited. Even I know that past the casino's buying season tickets and giving them out to people staying it, it will be hard to bring the real vegas populous in for games. 80-90% of the nightly attendance will be people in town to visit. There is nothing wrong with that. Vegas was the largest untapped sporting market till this. Welcome to the league Black Knights.

$500 mill later there is 31 teams now. VEGAS BABY VEGAS. Anyone that is mad Quebec didn't get the team over them or a 2nd expansion is a fool. East has 2 teams more then the west before the expansion team. Truth is West still needs a 2nd team. Seattle is the obvious choice here. Maybe in a few years. Quebec is only getting a team soon is if a team relocates. Plus the shitty Canadian dollar was a huge factor in Quebec not getting team after the obvious team imbalance

Sir William Covington III is a perplexing man. Ever since coming into the league he has turned heads because of his play and because of his attitude. His loud mouth brash “go fuck yourself” ways rubs people the wrong way and he wouldn’t have it any other way. William now in the final year of his rookie contract with HC Davos has announced well ahead of the season that he planned to leave Davos and explore the Free Agency market. What he will find out there is ballooned offers in efforts to pry him away from Davos. But at that point he will not even belong to them. Does this man really have allegiance to Davos or all ties to the team cut? He announced today that he and Kai Roberts put on a show for the league. He says that they staged fights and arguments because he knew the players and people of the league wanted and needed the two would but heads and argue. There were people getting popcorn ready to enjoy the argument. Little did the people of the league know Covington and Roberts planned everything to the “T” and enjoyed doing it as much as the people loved reading it. It was poetry, it was a sheer amazing shit awful mess that everyone expected and it was glorious to watch. But if Roberts isn’t the reason why Covington is leaving Davos then what can be the reason? If he enjoys the team and the management then what exactly is the reason? Is it the fans? Davos doesn’t have a huge population so lack of attention by the fans to a man that is all about is image and his ego may drive him out and make him go to places like NY or Toronto. But Covington has flat out announced that he has not and will not make up his mind where he is signing till the offers come rolling in when free agency opens in a few short weeks. Rumors are also swirling that Covington has met with Zimmers Corp agent and former client Xavier Martinez who had the most entertaining free agency in league history. One filled with live updates on what he is thinking, knocking teams off his list till a few remained and then announcing his “decision” on the VHL Mag podcast. So he meeting with Martinez should point to that he wants to make the most of his free agency. The question really comes down to where exactly would he sign? Seattle was interest in acquiring him via trade today but only if he would sign. SWC3 turned down the trade and opted to stick out the season in Davos. Due to his NTC he can do that and team management has no other option then sitting back and letting him walk at the end of the season. So will Seattle come after him when he tests the market? Will Covington even consider? Well if you ask him he would say that after conversations with the Seattle GM which the Davos GM allowed, that he was impressed by the talks and is open to them offering him a contract and he would consider it. Next on the list is Riga. There is no denying that Riga would want the talents of Covington in Riga. They seem to be doing the rebuild the “right way” but what would stop Covington from going there? Sucking for 1-2 seasons is not something he wants to do. The same thing goes for Seattle. So why would he go to these teams? To be the man, the man that they build around. To be the captain and bring them to glory. This is a man that claims he is the rightful king of England. So anything is possible. Other teams that Covington could probably go to are Helsinki because they are building a strong young team and maybe just maybe stay in Davos but no one including Convington himself is expecting that. As he put it “Davos is a great place but it’s time I move on” Where he will call home next season? Will it be NY? Toronto? Seattle? Helsinki? Riga or will he stay in Davos? We will just have to sit back and wait to find out.
