1.) I thought I got much better tracking the puck through screens. It wasn't really something that lower level teams do, so I had to adjust to it this year.
2.) Just talent - top end talent, middling talent, and depth talent.
3.) Next season I'm not sure if I'm starting or backing up, so I'd just like to have a save percentage over .915.
4.) Number 1 - where I want to be when my career is done.
5.) I was gonna say something about that but now apparently Brady is back? This off-season has been CRAZY.
6.) No, pineapple does not belong on pizza at all. Veggies on pizza are good, pineapple is bad.

1.) We need to score more goals than we allow, no matter if that's a 1-0 win or a 7-6 win. Don't think that's happening this season though.
2.) I have always preferred writing. A long time ago I did some podcasts, and would be a guest for the right one today, but I don't have the motivation to actually put one together anymore.
3.) Think it would have to be somewhat weather related...maybe someone looking like our current logo holding a lightning bolt of some sort (Zeus?)
4.) The fans - they keep showing up game after game even with the season that we're having. Have to give them all the props in the world.
5.) Sit inside and wait for it to get warmer - Although I don't mind the cold or snow, I don't really have many winter activities.
6.) Hm....a good cheese or pepperoni pizza is probably my favorite "regular" pizza, but for specialty pizzas, I like a good white pizza with extra garlic, tomatoes, and broccoli. Overall, I think veggies on pizza is underrated.

Hey all. As some of you may know, I’ve been dealing with some stuff lately and it’s all come together to put me to the point that I will have to step away from the GM world. So, following the conclusion of the Season 82 playoffs, I will be stepping down as Warsaw Predators Los Angeles Stars GM. Hopefully by opening up the job now the league can have someone solid in place for as soon as the offseason begins.

After I failed at guiding Vasteras  Halifax in their post-curse-break years way back when, I didn’t think I’d ever try my hand at GMing in a sim league again (at least not in a top level league). I’ve been blessed with amazing players and good luck, but to be able to have the sustained success that Warsaw Los Angeles has been able to have these past four seasons has been awesome. I proved to myself that I could do it, which was pretty cool, and I ended up enjoying the job more than I ever thought I would (most of the time ;)).

It's tough to nail down one recommendation with the team housing multiple stellar newer members that will eventually be VHL GMs one day, but I was told I could only pick one, so my recommendation will go to @dlamb @v.2. Constant VHLM GM snubs aside, dlamb v.2 has a ton of experience with GM leagues, knows Warsaw Los Angeles hockey inside and out, and has proven to me over the years that, as someone on the team I could always lean on for another opinion, he can succeed in a VHL GM job. I hope he and any Warsaw Los Angeles player interested in the job will get legitimate consideration.

Now I just gotta go win a cup real quick then I’ll be out.

didn't want to write my own post so i stole  @.sniffuM's okay goodbye.

So are we all fine with not messing with the update scale? It'll throw off our testing numbers slightly but I don't think it'll be a substantial amount and it would make things cleaner for the masses to take in.

So if goalies, depreciation, and the update scale all remain the same and we have discussed and agreed on the attributes is there anything left to discuss here or should I draft up an announcement to look over?

My daughter was born on February 13th, super bowl Sunday. It’s been a whirlwind of emotions, trying to make sure our son feels as included as possible as well as adjusting to life with a newborn again. Fortunately I have still been able to max earn and take advantage of TPE opportunities presented to me in the VHL. If having a one week old and a 11 month old can still keep my VHL interest, it would take a lot apparently for it to be taken away. I’ve been a lot less active in Discord, but that will come back as Aurora gets on a schedule. Just letting the league know I’m still here, well alive and earning!😎

1.) Could be better, could be worse. Even on a bottom team, I'd like to do better than a .909 - I can't escape blame for why we are where we are in the standings.
2.) I'm admittedly not in there that much, but seems like the biggest thing is just getting more people in there. That probably won't happen until next season though.
3.) I wouldn't say there's one particular thing I'm excited about joining the VHL next season - I'm hopeful that I'm a starter, but we'll see how that goes.
4.) I think McDavid the best offensive player in the NHL, but Crosby is still the best overall player, as much as it pains me to say it as a Flyers fan.
5.) My favorite and least favorite NHL team is the Flyers.
6.) Hm....so my favorite ice cream food is actually a chocolate malt, but as far as actual ice cream flavors, coffee is probably my favorite "basic" flavor, but favorite overall is rocky road or anything with graham cracker and chocolate.

Fire Tortorella reacted to MubbleFubbles in Talking about VHL Members Favourite Games
Nurx made a topic asking for top 10 favourites games of the VHL userbase, I'll talk about that here but to make sure everything is VHL relevant I'll make sure there's 150 words of VHL content seamlessly hidden within.

Nurx (who has the player Yun Chiang in the VHL, who is a scoring first right winger for the Riga Reign), I liked his list and there's definitely some games on there I think I'll need to try for myself at some point (always wanted to give Shadow of the Colossus a go but never did). Games I Played of his list I liked the most: My favourite of his is probably GTA V, although I do like both MGS3 and Burnout Paradise as well.

Arce (who is currently my team and linemate on the Geneva Rush with Ronan Lavelle, who got taken by the DC Dragons in the first round of the S82 VHL Draft) has a list of games that are mainly from a couple of decades ago (think HeartGold/Soul Silver was the only one released in the 10's), but as a fan of Pokemon Games, I enjoyed the list. Game I Played of his list I liked the most: I have to go COD 4 just cause that was my first experience with online multiplayer and it blew my mind! Smackdown! Shut Your Mouth is probably my fourth favourite Smackdown!, but it is very close to the other 3 I like more.

Berocka (who has Unigiri, who is a goalie who is set to retire at the end of this season, so may well have a new player if you read this late) definitely seems like a Sony main (like myself as I've had all their consoles bar 5 as well) that crosses three generations. Games I Played of his list I liked the most: His first pick Crash Bandicoot 2 is a great game, I didn't get into Crash until 3:Warped, so it felt a bit weird going back to a game with less abilities when I eventually played 2, but it's still very good. Wii Sports is also great and can't wait for the Switch version that's coming out this year and Shane Warne Cricket 99 (Or Brian Lara Cricket as it was called over here) is the best cricket game I've played.

Peace (who was my former GM when he was in charge of the record-setting Saskatoon Wild in Season 69) has a very shooter heavy list, I wasn't surprised to see his first entry though as I remember during his first year here he was talking a lot of good stuff about Escape From Tarkov. Games I Played of his list I liked the most: I love Mass Effect 2, it's easily my favourite game on the 360, so I'd probably go with his pick of the Mass Effect franchise, although like I mentioned earlier I loved COD 4 as well.

Wcats (who has the player DBIII, a player who is currently on the E with the Rome Gladiators) mentioned he started on NES, but interestingly most of his games are from the 360/PS3 and Xbox 1/PS4 era. Most of his games feature a large open world. Games I Played of his list I liked the most: Sleeping Dogs is an underrated gem of a game that is like $20 on steam. For those who don't know it, it's an open world game similar to GTA (but with more focus on hand-to-hand combat than shooting) set in Hong Kong. Along with Saints Row 3 and GTA V, it is one of my favourite open-world games.

Ahma (everyone's favourite Davos lifer, who is currently playing as David Tavau) has a list of games I've heard a lot about, but not played too many of them. Looking at Sekiro and Demon Souls on there along with Skyrim makes me think he could well be looking forward to Elden Ring (the new game from the Demon Souls creators From Software). Games I Played of his list I liked the most: Of his list, I've only put significant time into all the MGS selections. I would probably say 3 is my favourite of the ones he pointed out, but 1 and 2 are obviously great games as well.

Shindigs (who is an absolute madman) made a list of games I've never played because he's an absolute madman, so I'll have to change this to Games On His List I Think I'd Like the Most: It'd probably be either EHM (As someone who is a fan of the Football Manager series) or Worms Armageddon (Never played that one, but played it's successor Worms: World Party and enjoyed that.

DLamb (who is the member behind Vasile Lamb, who went first overall to the New York Americans in the Season 82 Draft) did exactly the same as Shindigs so it's back to Games On His List I Think I'd Like the Most: And that'd probably be Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire. As someone who only recently (within the last year or two I think) acquired a 3DS and hadn't had a Nintendo Handheld between the Gameboy Colour and the Switch, I missed out on Ruby/Sapphire, but I do have a copy of Alpha Sapphire so I'll give that a go at some point (he says hopefully).

Lemorse7 (who is currently playing as Alexandre Leduc and is also a madman much like Shindigs) has a very Nintendo heavy list with a lot of focus on the Mario sports games. I hadn't played any of them, but I'm hopefully looking forward to their sequel to Mario Strikers coming out soon (but it's maybe too hopeful as last two sports games, Golf and Tennis, have been disappointing). Games I Played of his list I liked the most: Wii Sports, although Mario Kart's are obviously great and I liked Super Monkey Ball as well.

SpicyGecko (who currently has the player George Sanderson and, is as advertised, an exceptionally Spicy Gecko) has a list crossing three generations and crossing a lot of different genres Games I Played of his list I liked the most: Wii Sports makes the list again, but Guitar Hero 2 was my first venture into the plastic instrument genre and that was a very fun time. It's a shame Activision ran these games into the ground.

Ricer (who has Reylenn Reinhart who I picked to win MVP in the award predictions this year) picked an unordered list that features WCW vs. NWO, a game I probably would have loved, but didn't have an N64 to play it. Games I Played of his list I liked the most: Pokemon would probably be the top, I enjoyed Fortnite a lot in it's early days but I rapidly lost interest once they added the fort gun and have never gone back.

Josh Drake (who is a newer member who just joined the league a couple of days ago) has an interesting list with some games in genres I've enjoyed in the past but never specifically played the games he mentioned. E.g. I liked Crusader Kings but haven't played Victoria II, enjoy wrestling games but haven't played a ton of Fire Pro Wrestling Returns and never played Virtual Pro Wrestling. Games I Played of his list I liked the most: Sims 2 was an excellent experience, the step up from the original Sims (which in itself was a great game) was terrific. Gran Turismo 2 was also a very impressive game for its time, remember having a ton of fun with cheat disks unlocking all the crazy good cars on that game.

Fire Fletcher (who I will still call Flyers or Flyersfan for ever and ever) gave a lot of sports based entries on his list. He also probably has the list that has the most games I've enjoyed on it. Games I Played of his list I liked the most: I recently pulled out my PS2 to play some Madden 07 along with doing a VHL sim on PC Madden 08, so those picks are spot on. Football Manager is also great and, being free on Game Pass along with Crusader Kings 3, justifies the subscription alone!

Jardy (who I've heard is the sole person responsible for the resurgence of podcasts) put Chrono Cross and Chrono Trigger on his list which reminds me given the announcement of Chrono Cross remastered coming to Switch, I NEED TO PLAY THOSE GAMES! Can you believe this will be the first time Chrono Cross actually makes it to the EU? I did also just yesterday buy the re-release of FF VI, so I'll be giving that a go for the first time at some point (I hear many say it's the best FF, so consider me interested).  Games I Played of his list I liked the most:  As mentioned earlier, Crusader Kings 3 solidly justifies my Gamepass subscription as that is a terrific game. I also had a lot of fun with Smackdown! Vs Raw 2006 , especially the GM mode and Smackdown! 2 was my first PSOne game and that was awesome, I loved the season mode and roster in that.

NHL 09 - NHL 22: EASHL (specifically clubs and since NHL 21 6v6 organized leagues, introduced to me by @Squidward) - I don't play offline, versus, or HUT
COD MW2 - put so much time into this game after high school, played with family
Age of Empires 2 - Never got into online because I'm not good enough at RTS games for it, but I started playing this game in elementary school and have played it off and on since
Football Manager - Generally buy a new one every two years
League of Legends - Have played off and on for 11 years now, gave up on ranked years ago but still fun to play with friends
James Bond Nightfire - This applies to a ton of games, but the experience of splitscreen vs. everyone playing online together is 100% different. Nothing like screen-looking, accusing others of screen-looking, etc...
Pokemon - Not going to throw in specific titles, but just an iconic game
Halo 3 - Again, iconic, very fun to play with friends, but not a game I was very good at
Rock Band - Tons of great memories playing this with friends and family
Madden - iconic series that has just fallen off a cliff every since they removed the vision cone for QBs, was a huge shift from realism to arcade mode
MVP Baseball 05 - top top notch game for it's time.

1.) Good defensive depth is always good and is apparently especially hard to come by this season. I don't see how this does anything but help this team moving forward fo rthe rest of the season.
2.) Wumbo is certainly playing and is lucky to be in the Prospect All-Star Game. Looking forward to playing in the VHL next season.
3.) It's always nice to recognize individual players who are succeeding, so I don't see how this can hurt anyone. Would be interesting to have locations that used to have VHL or VHLM teams host these games in the future.
4.) I'd say they're instrumental to the team's success. Every team needs both star and depth players and it seems like everyone on the Predators is chipping in this season.
5.) More and more I think the refs are instructed to create as much drama or keep the games close as much as possible. I used to think it was just conspiracy non-sense but there are way too many primetime games that seemingly come down to the last drive and are aided by suspect at best calls. I don't believe the NFL is necessarily pushing for one team to win over another, just to keep the game as close and interesting as possible.
6.) I've barely watched the olympics this year but like to just watch different random sports. I watched some type of long distance speed skating that was 16 laps, watched some biathlon, and a little curling and bobsled as well.
