Well I’m super glad I read this article and learnt about your personal life and job.
I myself and a huge fan of junior hockey, unfortunately I cheer for one of the worst junior hockey franchises in the WHL.
Good luck in your schooling and job prospects.

@GreenGato Your getting reviewed by your team's AGM ... you must be so excited lol
Review:
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn son, thems is some fine ass jerseys! Just in case you can't tell I think that is was over all a great design concept from hemline to collar. First of all I have to mention you over all commitment to the nautical theme. Not only is it well thought out but it is appealing to the eye as well. Love how you work in the subtle touches of yellow in your design from the rope on the shoulder patches with matching laces in the front collar to the stripped arm design i just can't help but thing this whole thing is on point.
This is better than what i have seen some professional clubs come out with lately.
9.5/10 ( the .5 off is because there is just something about the first jersey that does not pop as much as the 2nd design but lets be honest they are both amazing ❤️

Spence King reacted to JigglyGumballs in Las Vegas GM Hired
Welp they just hired a weeb to be a GM.
Anyways aside from that. I wanna give everyone who's supported me a huge thanks. I would've never have been able to get this job if it wasn't for all of you. I especially want to thank peeps like @PatrikLainefor introducing me to this league in the first place, and @Spartan for hiring me as an AGM and giving me the opportunity to become what I've always want to become since joining the VHL. I'll probably make a unnecessarily long PT as a more formal form of thanks, but otherwise I'm super excited for the draft and I'm looking forward to see what I can do!
Again, thank you all so much ❤️

Spence King reacted to Acydburn in Las Vegas GM Hired
With @Spartan moving up we had to replace someone for the Las Vegas GM role. "Inset nice things about Spartan here", jk we all know he'll do well and wish him luck. We wanted to give the new GM a bit of time to get situated with the team and be able to think before that draft.
So without anymore waiting
Congratulations,
to all that applied and didn't get the position. Please don't be discouraged, and to keep applying. I wish we had enough positions for everyone to get one. There were a lot of very qualified applicants this go around and the decision was not an easy one.

Spence King reacted to Ledge in Team Nordic Roster Announcement
What's up, VHL? I'm Ledge n Dairy, and it is my pleasure to present to you the World Cup of Hockey roster for the best team that no one's heard of, Team Nordic. Before I get into the juicy meat, however, I'll give you a bit of background details on what exactly this tournament is.
The World Cup happens every two seasons. So that means that this season is one of those special seasons that we are treated to a combo of the WJC and the World Cup. However, the World Cup has slightly different player restrictions. With the WJC, players have to be a certain age and below a certain TPE. But the World Cup has no such limits. In this offseason tourney, the best of the best players from each country/region of the planet. It's basically the Olympics but we have taken measures so we don't have Canada and USA absolutely destroying everyone else. So here we are! And Team Nordic is the best!
S76 World Cup of Hockey

Spence King reacted to NSG in His Time Is Up: Tucker Leaving The Minors
I mean, this has been a heckuva journey throughout the VHLM. But, unfortunately, Henry Tucker laced up his skates for the final time in the minors today in a 7-3 loss against the Mexico City Kings. It was a bitter ending to a 3 season career in the bush leagues, but Tucker made sure it wasn’t completely a horrible ending: With 2:21 left in his career (Game 4), Tucker received a pass from That Dude, @Cornholio, and slammed it into the back of the net, netting his final career goal and receiving a standing ovation from the Minnesota faithful. Since I want my 6 TPE, let’s recap his career.
Season 74, Miami Marauders
If you had ever read his biography, Tucker had a contract dispute with his old semi-pro team that forced him to play out the remainder of the season, so he entered his name into the VHLM Free Agent Pool in Season 74 after 59 games. Most rosters were full at that time, and only 2 teams bothered to offer to him: @rory with Halifax 21st and @Ricer13, who GMed the Miami Marauders at the time. Both offered 4th line minutes, so it came down to proximity, and living in Southeast Alabama, I was pretty sure that Miami was closer to me than Halifax, so I went there. I found myself with $1,500,000 in cash, a really chill Discord LR, and a contending team, which was good, because I was pretty damn confused about the VHL and earning TPE, and I also had to be confused on the EFL and SBA at the same time. Tucker played 13 games for Miami and got 1 assist, 6 shots, 12 PIM, 13 HIT, and a +/- of -7. At that point, Tucker received standing ovations from the opposing team’s fans when he skated on, as his incompetent reputation preceded him.
Then, the playoffs came and I’m told we just barely squeaked in. The rumor also seems to be that we won the championship, though Tucker did about everything possible to stop that from happening. No points in 18 games with 9 hits, 10 PIM, 3 SHT, and a -9 plus-minus was pretty amazingly... bad. Tucker may have got a ring, but he certainly didn’t earn it. Then the VHLM Draft came and turned his world upside down...
Season 75, Minnesota Storm
Well, I guess I expected for Miami to see the amazing ceiling I knew I had and select me again so they could keep me on the team. Well, um, if you read the title above me, you know that wasn’t the case. @Rayzor_7 and @Mr_Hatter made a pretty good decision my not only selecting me, but also by waiting until the 73rd pick to do it. Tucker inherited either the 2nd or 3rd line position (to this day, I’m really not sure), and got jolted into reality by coming into this impoverished and rebuilding team. Though Minnesota did pretty damn horrible, Tucker had a breakout campaign, registering 12 goals and 31 assists for 43 points, as well as contributing 200 hits, 15 blocked shots, 1 game winner, but he had 72 PIM, was only 12-144 on his shots (for a dismal 8.3% shot success rate), and had a horrible -30 +/-. The VHL Draft rolled around and though Tucker had a good bit of experience and TPE he had bad, bad stats...
Season 76, Minnesota Storm/Vancouver Wolves
Tucker tuned in to the VHL Draft as the then-23rd best prospect but slipped all the way to #26. Despite being glad that he was picked in the 2nd round, and picked by a lit team like @Beaviss and (at the time) @Spence King’s Vancouver Wolves, he felt FISTED ANALLY BY A CIRCUS MONKEY and was determined to make a legacy. He went on a max earning binge and got to 250 TPE with ease, guaranteeing a spot in the majors in Y2 and then some, flying straight onto the Wolves’ radar by going from the 26th pick to the guy with the 13th most TPE in his draft class.
But since this is about his time in the minors, we’ll talk about his final minors season. Tucker’s SC and PAS may have conflicted, but his DI stayed amazingly horrible, and he made the most of his season, scoring 20 goals on 196 shots for a 10.2% rate, with the 3rd most assists on the team with 53, for 73 points. He had 7 PPG, 5 SB, a +17 +/-, and 186 hits. However, his lack of discipline saw him sit in the penalty box for 99 minutes, which was 2nd on the team. Although his aspirations for a 2nd Founders Cup didn’t come to fruition, Tucker tried, netting 2 goals and 4 assists for 6 points in 8 games, with 10 hits, 8 PIM, 1 PPG, and 15 SHT. He even had a positive +/-, at 2. The send-off was emotional for him and he’s sure gonna miss them rustic arenas.
Ultimately, this was his career stat line in the regular season.
GM: 157
GL: 32
AS: 85
PTS: 117
+/-: -20
SHT: 346
PIM: 183
HIT: 399
SB: 20
GW: 1
PPG: 12
Now for the playoffs.
GM: 26
GL: 2
AS: 4
PTS: 6
+/-: -7
PIM: 18
HIT: 19
PPG: 1
Ultimately, it’s been a long road, and we really don’t know what’s ahead (well, except that I’ll play for Ricer my last season). I might be a Hall of Famer, I might not (though prolly not), I have no idea who Imma be traded be (if I get traded), ya know, but I do know that I’ll have fun.
Also, before I end this article, I’d like to give a big shoutout to @Trunkxolotl for turning on the TPE earning Jets and getting to (basically) 250 TPE. I can’t wait to see you stopping shots in the VHL like you did in Minnesota, while I pass the ball like I did in Minnesota.
And with that, Tucker has left the VHLM.

Spence King reacted to diacope in S76 WJC GM Applications
@Spence King
You've been killing it in the managing game and I think it's time for some newer members to get a chance to be more involved, keep doing you obviously but the world juniors is for learning about the sim engine and to help new managers understand the ropes. Soon enough you'll be the man in charge in the VHLM or possibly the VHL (who knows the World Cup?), just don't think you should be managing a team in the junior tournament..
-
Spence King reacted to Banackock in S76 WJC GM Applications
@Spence King I believe you may be too late to the party which is entirely a misfortune. Excellent write up. You have my support in future ventures and did very well on your first go around. The World Juniors is an awesome tournament for the VHLM, players, managers and all that are lucky enough to be involved, or to involve themselves in it. It’s a great place for players and managers to get their starts, step out of the shadows and shine a light on them and to kill some time and allow the enjoyable moments and memories to continue being created in the league.
Any time I can be part of the tournament, in whatever way I manage, is an absolute privilege. This may be the first season in over 10 seasons that I’m actually not which is kind of sad now that I’ve realized that. It’s one of my passions for the league - helping out, assisting members with the learning curve of managing and creating a fun and fiery experience with a little bit of silly shit talk as dressing on the salad.
Keep up the good stuff!

Spence King reacted to bigAL in S76 WJC GM Announcement #4 - TEAM EUROPE & TEAM WORLD
🔥 TOP WJC TEAMS HYYYYYYPE 🔥
And then there were two. The GMs already know that they are GMs, but they don’t know what team they are managing. This post might be the most suspenseful one of the series.
After a thrilling Gold Medal Game last season, one team went home with gold and one team went home with silver. Both teams tried their best, but there’s no medal for trying. Team Europe lost to the world champions, Team World.
Big thanks to both @JigglyGumballs and @Ledge_and_Dairy for steering our continental and global teams to the Finals. Jiggs has been a part of the WJC for two years now, and we’re thankful for their service to the tournament. Ledge was a rookie GM last year who led the Europeans to yet another medal in S75. Both were strong leaders in the locker room, and both have made their mark in WJC history.
But, it’s time to bring in some fresh blood. These two first-time GMs inherit winning programs with lofty expectations. It’s finals or bust for Teams World and Europe. Will these managers rise to the occasion, or crumble under the pressure? Let’s announce both at once and let them duke it out in the comments:
The silver medalists, Team Europe, will be led by none other than:
@KaleebtheMightyagain, so hot right now
Patrik Laine has been an extremely active member in the VHL since he joined. A beauty from back in my Miami days, Laine always did what was best for the team and for others. He may have ruffled some feathers along the way, but he always leads with his heart and does his best.
His dedication really shows with his offseason tournament, the Pro-Am. Friend of the tournament Zetterberg started this side-project, and Patrik picked it up and ran with it. In the VHL, Laine’s had some AGM experience (and some horrible timing). Hired in Mexico City, his boss Motzaburger left the league and left Patrik in the lurch. He got another job in Houston working under Sonnet… our current VHLM Commissioner and not Houston Bulls GM. His invaluable experiences in the league and out have prepared him for the big stage of the World Junior Championship.
Which means the gold-medal winning team, Team Other Worldly, Team Everyone Else, Team….
Laine’s arch-rival this year is an equally impressive member on the fast track to VHL success. Bobo, aka Darius Marimoto, aka Bozo (ok don’t call him that one to his face) has taken advantage of so many VHL opportunities, and when opportunities weren’t there, he created them himself. Bobo wasn’t content to just write a media spot and call it a day; he heard of a VHL project long gone, assembled a team of writers, and created The VHL Times. The newspaper is widely circulated and has a handful of issues now.
Bobo also has some team managerial experience. He has studied from the great DMax as the AGM of the Philadelphia Reapers in the VHLM. Contrary to popular belief, AGMs do have rights - the right to learn from a great mentor, and the responsibility to use those powers for good and not evil. In building the newspaper, he also built a team of like-minded people around him AND took the responsibility of managing them. Like we’ve seen with other successful candidates, managing other people in any virtual or real life capacity is a beneficial skill when applying to manage a spreadsheet hockey team.
So that’s our S76 World Junior Championship management team:
Team Asia: @KaleebtheMighty
Team USA: @Hex Universe
Team Canada: @domg5
Team Europe: @PatrikLaine
Team World: @dariusmarimotoman
LET'S DO THAT WORLD JUNIOR HOCKEY!!
