Here is yet another edition to the Game Breakers hockey card collection! In order to better gauge the Potential and Gradings for players, I have discussed with a few people (who I will keep nameless so that all heat for decisions can fall to me and not them too) what category they believe the individual will fall into and the likeliness of them reach said potential at this point in their careers. All Potentials and Grades are subject to change from season to season, and only the select few that are HoF material will eclipse Franchise so don’t get your hopes up too high.
(I will be doing an overview of my career at the end of my career for my last personal card, instead of doing one every season. If I make you a hockey card then it will have an overview of your career till that point like I did with past GameBreaker cards.)

Grades from highest to lowest will be:
    -Franchise
    -Elite
    -1st Line / Starter
    -Average
    -Depth / Back-up
    -Pylon

    Potential Stages:
    -Exact
    -High
    -Medium
    -Low

If you want me to create a card of your player/ goalie then just DM me the render you would like me to use, captaincy, position (if D then let me know if you are a DD or OD) and the jersey number you wear.

Top Goaltender Award "Benoit Devereux Trophy"

It’s not easy to be a good goaltender. It’s especially not easy to be such a good goaltender that you can drag your team to the playoffs. It’s most certainly not easy to be such a consistently good goaltender that you win the award for top goaltender for two years in a row. It’s unbelievably challenging to do this with the best save percentage the VHLM has seen  in 23 seasons.

First, with 4 votes in their favor, our runner up: Ajay Krishna of the Ottawa Lynx!

    Looking Ahead to the Draft

With the conclusion of the VHL playoffs yesterday, we enter the offseason and the next major item in the league's calendar becomes the VHL Entry Draft that will be taking place this week. For Gabriel Akerstrom, it's a very exciting time. As someone who missed out on the draft process last season and joined the VHLM during the course of the regular season, it's a novel feeling to be involved in this kind of event and something that he has been looking forward to for a long time. As a young player who is confident in his ability to help change a franchise's long term trajectory and play a big role on a team that accomplishes great things down the line, knowing where he will begin his career in the VHL certainly makes for a very exciting development. When it comes to working out which team is a likely destination for him however, that's a little bit more difficult. It's understood that Gabriel and his player representatitves have had some productive conversations with a few different VHL franchises, so there's certainly some interest from scouting departments in what he can bring to the table.

With the landscape of the VHL notably different following last season's expansion that added four new teams into the league, there's a wide range of situations that Gabriel could find himself joining. There's certainly a lot of obvious appeal to joining a team with a proven track record that will offer a good chance of success immediately. Gabriel has no problems spending some time in a limited role if needs be while he finds his feet if the team has a lot of depth at defense that they're able to utilise. Additionally, the chance to go to a newly founded team and immediately become a big part of the team's immediate present day look also is something that's definitely appealing. While it may mean that there's a longer wait before Gabriel finds himself playing on a high level team and challenging for a cup, this is outweighed by the excitement of being able to forge a legacy as part of a new team.

The different scenarios both have their positives and negatives, but as long as Gabriel ends up at a team that has a clear plan for the long term and management that can get a team behind them and set the team up successfully, then Gabriel has nothing to be worried about. The prospect of being a part of the VHLM Dispersal Draft is also incredibly exciting. Although the long term impact of the VHL Draft means that there's definitely more significance in that one and how it plays out, the chance to be a part of two in one offseason certainly adds to the fun of it all, and it's going to be interesting to see how that one plays out. All in all, it looks like it's going to be a very important week in the scheme of Akerstrom's career, and it'll be a lot of fun to see how it plays out!

Draft night is almost here, and Warsaw is ready to rumble. Watch out everyone, in a season or two, Warsaw is going to be gunning for the top spot in the league and a cup. Scouting is mind-numbingly boring. The actual draft is a night of excitement, but the preparation beforehand could be a better experience. Obviously, it's necessary for any team to be successful and it also improves the player's experience when they get a pre-draft interview, but a lot of it is compiling TPE earning rates. Being a GM/AGM is much more stressful than being a player, but much more satisfying. The position definitely tales more work and can be stressful at times, but when the team is doing well you feel great. The amount of work kinda contributes to this feeling as you have a sense of building something by yourself. I really hope that draft night doesn't take more than 5 hours this time around.

     Doug Dimmadome
Keeping up the good work and earning himself another mention as the third best goaltender this week we see Dimmadome make similar saves that triggered DeJa Vu. Hopefully Doug invested in a mask upgrade with a built in pillow or fill his bottle with coffee because we saw only 18.4 shots against which is 4.4 less than last week and games are only getting harder, making the coaches nervous for the playoffs. Good news is the Marlins are outscoring their opponents and giving him enough time to adjust.

     Drew Minott
Holy hell the Bulls are on fire and Minott is benefiting from it large, he's already being an all star goalie but he keeps improving. Not many can say they won ten in a row and doing it with only two goals against the whole way is phenomenal, winning 5 of 5 games against playoff contenders, Minnesota once, Saskatoon and Miami twice. Now at 19 wins in the previous two weeks and counting because they have already won another three going into the following week. This time we see Drew drop a spot but improved his goals against average by .7 and faced around the same amount of shots from opposing team we as see him take the lead for assists

    #1
     Ajay Krishna
So far we have seen Krishna take the top spot three times and boy did he ever have a good week, has to be his best work this season and the retired all star goalies should be proud from his jaw dropping saves and highlight reel performances. Eight games we saw less than two goal against and faced 15+ shots eight different times, we wont see these results often. One thing we gotta talk about is the three shutouts recorded, poor Mexico City because two of them were against them and a total of 40 shots were turned aside in both bouts. Right now Krishna is second, one behind league leader Calvin Harvey and in the running for almost every other category

    3. Ajay Krishna
I swear I'm not picking this man again because of his swagger, no, Krishna is a beast and there's a good reason his teammates call him the "Cheat Code", again he put in work to help his team rise in the standings winning 8 times and kept a calm mind the whole time, the only time we saw him unfocused was when he needed a drink.

    2. Calvin Harvey
This week Harvey was able to shut the door against playoff contenders and get some important wins for his team as we get closer to the 72 game mark. Ended up playing 6 different top teams and won 4 times, shutout the Marlins and had 5 game win streak that included wins against San Diego, Saskatoon and the Lynx

    1. Bacon
One point two two goals against, yeah you heard me right, Bacon was able to accomplish a ton this time around and made it look easy. In 11 games he turned aside 157 shots and allowed only 16 goal against while going on a 11 game win streak, four of those games were against San Diego and Ottawa, at the end of the week Bacon only gave up 2 in all games but one time where he let in 4 during this stretch

Warsaw has not had the greatest of inaugural seasons, that much is obvious. They certainly didn't have a Cinderella run like the Golden Knights in the NHL. Coming 3rd last in the league, only above fellow expansion teams such as London and Chicago, is not much to be proud of, but fans of the team should be excited about next season. Is Warsaw going to win the cup next year? Probably not if I'm being honest, but we do have a bright future. With the 1st overall pick this year and a slew of prospects, Warsaw could be contending within a season or two. We first have our goalie for the future, and perhaps generation in Ajay Krishna. Two top tier centers in Dayne and Lamb. A solid start on the wing and defence with Lin and Grachev. That's a prospect core that is nothing to scoff at, and has enough potential to win a cup.

So uhh, new month, new time for some Affliate Checks. So I think the draft is coming up but since I kinda joined a bit late to where I'm meant to join I'll be drafted late or not drafted at all but too any GM's who are reading this (if anyone), I'll be earning 6 TPE a week and if there is PC questions I'll answer them as well for some more so I guess you could call me a draft steal if drafted late but I'll more than likely have an average award less career but as long as I'm a role player and can help people win, I guess that's fine by me. I ain't gonna lie that took my like one minute to write and i'm nearly done lol but yeah as I wrap this up and this will be the last time you hear from me till next month. I tried looking at Kate's stats before and as a team Mexico sucked but looking at Kate's stats for the amount of games this played I actually was kinda happy by the way she played. Anyways looks like I'm finally out but good luck to the other draftees and I'll be intrested to see where I go if I go anywhere, good bye boys .

Hooperorama reacted to okifenoki in Angellini - 1st Postseason Series Win
After 2 hard working years in the VHLM, Pietro Angellini has been gaining experience and excelling as one of the Top Forwards in the Minor League. With his eyes set on the Big League next season, S73 may very well be his very last chance at the Founder's Cup. An elusive prize, Pietro saw his first postseason action in S72 as a member of the Mississauga Hounds. After an early round exit, Pietro had a chip on his shoulder. Traded to the San Diego Marlins shortly after, Pietro planned on using his new surroundings to his advantage, working as hard as possible, and helping his new teammates rise to the top of the VHLM.

S73 was a whirlwind for Pietro. We saw his natural abilities help him blossom into an elite two-way Center. He plays a tough, but balanced, game. Ending the regular season with 125 Points (46G / 79A), Pietro was fired up for the S73 postseason and the Marlins were slated to square off with the Ottawa Lynx, a team that had bettered them all season long.

The Marlins came out hot, winning the first 2 games of the series to take a nice lead. Pietro was quoted in the locker room after the second win "we are on the right track, boys, but we can't let up. We have to push through and win the next one. Stay focused, one game at a time!". The Captain Angellini's speech was well received and the Marlins came out again in Game 3 looking to take a commanding lead but the Lynx, led by Alec Volchenkov @SirRupertBarnes, were just as determined to keep the series under control and took the game 5-4 in Overtime. The Marlins were taken by surprise, leaving everything on the ice in that overtime match. Again, the Captain sounded off: "We gave it everything tonight, boys. Took them to OT but just couldn't find the twine. We have another shot coming up quick, so be ready. One Game at at Time."

With a gritty confidence, the Marlins looked at a 2-1 lead in the series and came to play as if they were facing elimination. Led by the stacked pads of Doug Dimmadome @Esso2264, the Marlins took Game 4 by a score of 2-1 and Dimmadome recording 25 saves on 26 shots. The Marlins were another step closer and, with Game 5 being played the next afternoon, Pietro addressed his team again: "We are tight out there. Playing a defensive game, Han @Dtayl and Lucy @InstantRockstar are playing out of their minds on the blue line for us. Dougie shut the door tonight. One more game, boys! One more!"

Game 5. Marlins with a series lead, 3-1, looking to eliminate one of their regular season rivals and advance to the 2nd round. This was uncharted territory for Pietro and a true team goal for the Marlins. The next step. Game 5 was almost a mirror image of Game 4. About 15 minutes into the first period, an early goal from Kuchar @S. Kuchar put the Lynx on the board. The teams went to the locker room with the Lynx having the advantage. The Marlins were playing a defensive game and slacking on the offensive end. Needing to put up shots, Pietro spoke once again: "Take your chances. We are all here to help each other defend but if you see that twine, SHOOT!". The Captain's words were foreshadowing, after 10 minutes in the second period, Schwarzy @Enorama lit the lamp with the equalizer. The only goal of the second period. The Lynx and Marlins were deadlocked in an elimination game.

Game 5, 3rd Period. Elimination or Advancement on the line. The tension on the ice was palpable. The series storyline had become the battle of the backboards, with Dimmadome and Krishna @Hooperorama both showing out and denying shots left and right. A slashing minor at 5:18 into the 3rd gave the Power Play to the Marlins who took quick advantage. Again Schwarzy was involved, taking the pass from Lucifer and feeding it to the young Joakim Lund @Bouncyelf who buried the go ahead Power Play Goal at 5:36 in. The Marlins were ahead and never took their foot off the gas, drawing 2 additional penalties (holding and tripping) showing they were a step ahead of the Lynx. The time ticked down and the buzzer sounded, the Marlins Win! Dimmadome held the fort with 21 saves on 22 shots and the boys were moving on!
