A fairly obvious prediction for 1st overall The Frenchman is top ranked in their draft class by a moderate amount. Rebuilding Riga has begun to create their future roster with younger players and now to fit the timeline they are looking to draft the franchise's next star to lead them out of this rebuild in the next couple of seasons. The Frenchman skipped the M and preferred to play in the E last season where they joined Bratislava for the season putting up average stats but the potential for this player is more than it seems.

With one of their 4 first round picks in this season's draft Seattle will likely look to build their forward talent. Though Daryl Dixon has been rumored to be playing in the VHLE next season this could work for Seattle's timeline as they could rely on free agency or one of their other three 1st's to complete their forward group for the upcoming season and then bring in Daryl afteer that season. Daryl Dixon was apart of the Miami Marauders and put up and incredible 123 points in 72 games and kept their ppg+ average through the playoffs. Daryl seems to be a very talented player that could become on of Seattle's future stars.

Helsinki has a young squad on their hands, but their goaltending is the oldest part of the squad and rather underwhelming with 2 backup caliber goaltenders. As the Helsinki squad ages their goaltending will remain sup-par from the starter position. In a goaltending deep draft it's the perfect time for Helsinki to grab possibly their next goaltender for the franchise that will easily overpass their current goaltenders in only about 2 seasons. Fuuka Rask is the perfect goaltender for Helsinki, loaded with talent and fitting the timeline of the squad. In 53 games with Ottawa this season Fuuka averaged a 0.912 sv% and a 2.39 GAA with 4 shutouts to accompany him. These are solid stats for a goaltender which is what Helsinki will need soon.

Toronto has made a lot of moves with it's roster since last season from having a large amount of players to not having a full roster anymore. Toronto is in need of forwards and the top player at this point would be Yaroslav Bogatyrev. Though Yaroslav has seemed a bit picky in draft interviews there's a chance that they could settle with being drafted by Toronto and decided to play there where they would likely be the franchises star for however long they may last there. Bogatyrev opting to play in the E last season had a very good season for themself with 59 points in 72 games.

The United have made some moves to acquire this pick, just before the release of this article as well... With a highly talented forward group London might have to shed some players in the future for cap reasons and to waste no time looking for a depth piece after the cap shed John Richards may be the guy to come in and fit in with the United squad. Sadie St-Louis had a great season for the Ottawa Lynx with 85 points being a faily even spread they could be a solid piece to add to London.

In every draft so far Daryl Dixon and Rick Grimes have found each other in some way to be in the same team. This could be a possibility for Seattle to finish their future forward group with an abundance of star players. Rick Grimes played for Miami this past season getting 116 points with the spread being fairly even, a very talented player at that who will break into the VHL in not to short of time at this rate.

The Seattle Bears will have a bunch of picks coming up, but with this one they'll be selecting Joel Castle. Although they already have a goaltender in Dusty Wilson, it's always nice to pick up one of every position, especially with early picks, as they're all going to be consistent earners usually. Joel Castle played in the M this season, playing with LVA and leading them to the finals, just falling short of the Reapers. Joel Castle will be a great addition to the very young Seattle Bears roster and will potentially eventually take over that starting spot.

  Season 85 - Playoffs 4 0 4 4 3 8 2 9 6

Up at eighth, we have Seattle taking Elias Lampi, a defenseman. Lampi last season had a fairly decent season for a defenseman, and with the league already having a potential shortage of strong defenseman, this'll be a great pickup for the Bears. Lampi most likely won't be in the VHL for a couple more seasons, but that gives Seattle enough time to figure out what they want to do with their defensive core.

Having acquired this pick earlier in the offseason, and already having a very solid future defensive core, Helsinki will be looking to add a forward to their future core and Richards will be the future of Helsinki's offense. They have an extremely bright future and by all means should be VHL ready for season 87 as the face of Helsinki's future forward group.

Next up at tenth overall, we have Rex Wolffe Gregor going to the London United. Rex had a great season in the M for a defenseman, putting up 50 points in 72 games, which is very respectable. Rex will be adding to the blue line in a couple of season and look to replace Jerome Reinhart, so it's perfect timing for the London United and their GM Dil who seems to have everything planned out.

At eleventh overall, we have Jens Lekman heading to the Vancouver Wolves. Frank has already done a great job with rebuilding the Vancouver Wolves, even getting them into a playoff spot this season. I believe that adding Lekman to that prospect line and potentially slotting into that D core will be a huge addition to the team. Lekman had a great season in the M, especially in the playoffs where he was a PPG defenseman and put up an impressive 74 shots on goal in 19 games. This pick will be a good one, and Frank will be looking to strengthen this team.

Currently the 3rd best goalie in the draft class, Lachlan Summers had a solid season in S85 while playing for San Diego in the VHLM. In 72 games we saw them post a 0.916 SV% (2nd) and a 2.57 GAA (8th). In addition to this Summers also recorded a record of 34-30-8 with 4 shutouts along the way. Currently Davos does not have much in the way of prospects, but with Xavier Booberry set for retirement in 3 seasons, adding a goalie to their prospect pool makes perfect sense.

Last season Left Alone was just below a point per game with San Diego, finishing the season with 34 goals and 37 assists for 71 points in 72 games. Left Alone also excells on the physical side of the game as they recorded an impressive 122 hits and 41 shots blocked, while only havin 30 penalty minutes. For Toronto they will likely be looking to supplement their forward core in the coming seasons and Left Alone will be a perfect option to do just that.

Another player who had a stelar season 85 is Wann Kerr, last season they posted an astonishing 97 points, 41 of which were goals in 72 games with Las Vegas in the VHLM. If Wann Kerr is still on the board at this point of the draft there is no doubt that Calgary will draft them. There is a considerable chance that Wann Kerr could go as early as 10th overall.

An era in Moscow is coming to a close with Hard Markinson, and The Seabasstard retired, and with this being Papa Emeritus's final season. GM @spartan, will have to turn his focus to the future and their already existing future core. Leonard Triller will be the perfect piece to do just that! LAst season they posted a solid 52 points in 55 games with Saskatoon. It is currently unknown if Triller will be taking their talents to the VHLE this coming season or staying in the M to play for San Diego.

With the final pick of the 1st round, the D.C. Dragons are in a great position to select a forward that will help imporve their roster in the coming seasons, with there likley being several forwards for them to choose from at this point of the draft. A solid option for them at this point of the draft will be Adam Rage, last season Rage was a core two-way forward for the San Diego Marlins, and we should expcet them to improve on their number when they make a return to the VHLM this season. in season 85 they posted 32 goals and 30 assists for 62 points in 72 games, they also added 123 hits and 69 shots blocked!
