Actually, I'll just tag the GMs. So GMs, will any one of you need Torstein Ironside's services in S61? This season he's been in the passenger seat to Brodeur in Davos, which I'm okay with, but if nobody needs him to contend next season then I might as well retire him soon and recreate now.

Although I assume if nobody wants him, I could let him ride and die on my Legion team to close out his career, even though it's illegal to sign him as a FA because he's mine. But if nobody wants him, then I'd only assume it's possible.

I kind of want to retire this weekend if I'm not going to be on a contender. This season he's behind Brodeur and not getting a ton of playing time so if I have to do that again next season, I'll probably pass.

GoW is good where you can talk VHL during the killing, and just pause for the cut-scenes and talking gameplay. There's obviously a lot of mindless killing, and treasure hunting in there where you could easily talk about VHL, etc.

There's a lot of parts where they talk during gameplay too, but you could definitely just stop talking yourself, since you could make it like a Let's Play....and your VHL audience would probably like to know what happens too. Depends how you would do it, if you'd only do it for streaming purposes, there's like 30 hours of story. But if you also would play on your own and not record, then your viewers wouldn't get to know what happened.

Yeah, BLack Ops really trying to grab ideas from other games at this point. I might still get it, but as usually I'll grab Battlefield first and see if it holds me off.

Yeah, you just have to be under it before the season starts. If you pass it during the season, then you can't be back in the VHLM again the next season, but you can still finish the season.

I would have to guess that their banked recreate TPE doesn't apply to the 175 +25 banked rule. Meaning that you still just go to 175 APE, then after that you keep banking whatever else.

It's kind of fucky though. You're only allowed 175 +25 banked to stay in the VHLM, but you'll have more than 25 banked automatically with carryover. I don't know. Fuck.

I don't really like it either, but I get what they're trying to do. It sucks for some new guys coming out of the gates to just perform like shit until you've updated for like 2 to 3 weeks. I mean, really, you shouldn't be rewarded unless you do any work, so I guess it's a safety net for recruits to stick around. Haha.

and it's not like you're not getting rewarded for recreating, you just have to wait until the VHL for it.

The only reason you can't apply your carryover when you create is so recreates don't have a huge jumpstart on the first gens. I assume you can't claim it at all until the VHL. Although, it does seem shitty to me that you can't even claim it even if you aren't getting to 175 without it.

But ya, STZ. You can have 175 TPE in the VHLM. That's all you can have applied, and in order to stay in the VHLM at the beginning of a season you can't have more than 200 TPE, so 25 banked. But after the season starts and if you're going to the VHL the next season, you can bank as much as you want.

It never really seemed like a big deal to me. Now that it's back I rarely even see 5 people online. Haha.
